Fantastic experience: 5:40p.m. (ct) Mon. June 30, 2025 I was referred to Mrs. Carmen Carter & she was so much more than what I had been told. She is patient with you asking questions. Mrs. Carter is VERY well knowledgeable of the Real Estate Field. She answered all my questions, gave me guidance & instructions on what I THOUGHT I knew. My only regret is that Mrs. Carmen does not service the Rockford, IL area. She did tell me she would further guide me in my quest as a First Time Homeowner & find me reputable Realtor Representation in the Rockford, IL Area. (If I could give her ten stars I would). You cannot go wrong with Carter Realty Group led by Mrs. Carmen Carter.

Fantastic experience: Our buying experience was a pleasure. An issue arised at the closing table and one call to Carmen and things were rectified within minutes. We’ll do business with them if we ever decide to sell or when we buy again

Negative experience: Very disappointed I see a house big sign Carter realty group. After over an hour looking for the house on there web site, typing joliet illinois in the search criteria every house in Chicago was listed. Tried everything to find that house, never found it. Fix your search criteria that was a absolutely terrible experience I dint even feel like finding that house now I'll look elsewhere sorry.

Positive experience: First off I want to say that my three stars is not negative in my experience five stars is excellent service so three doesn't mean bad. Average real estate agency I'm not sure how aggressive they are representing a buyer though

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to buy my first home under the Carter Realty team. Everyone in the office is professional and nice. I worked with Sarah Bylon specifically as my realtor. Sarah was the best realtor! She sits down with all buyers and explains everything that you should expect. Buying a home with Sarah was easy due to her being knowledgeable in her field. There were absolutely no surprises and everything went smoothly. She even had the best recommendations along the way ie home inspection company, lender. I recommend Sarah 10/10 to anyone who asks. If you choose Sarah as your realtor, rest assured you will have one of the best realtors on your home buying team. Through all the highs and lows of buying a house, she will be your constant.

Negative experience: I have purchased and sold several homes on the past and never had such a horrific experience. Our realtor was extremely kind and always willing to help but I’m not sure that he was very knowledgeable in regards to making sure the purchase contract would protect me as the seller. Then he recommended an even worse attorney, Tracy Stallworth, that I hired, trusted and PAID. I am now being sued by the buyer because I wasn’t protected by my realtor or my attorney who in total walked away with at least $22k from the sale of my property and now I am being sued and my so called attorney has fallen off the map and told me that she closed my case so I’m on my own. I’m still trying to figure out what I paid her for. I called a few other attorneys after the fact to see if they could assist and one even went so far as to vent to me stating that she was sick of Carter Realty sending Tracy all of their business but then calls her when it’s time to clean up Tracy’s messes. This was also an attorney that was referred by my realtor. Every attorney I called stated that I was given bad legal advice by Tracy. So I guess I will be out of an additional $1,000 since I have to now pay attorney’s fees. Extremely dissatisfied with everyone involved in this transaction.

Fantastic experience: If you want professionals that get things done right, This is the place to have. They make every stressful situation run smoothly, step-by-step. They make sure you understand everything, and you can ask questions along the way at anytime. They were great and I would Recommend them for anyone looking to sell or buy a home.

Her relationships are important, her ability to create offers that give you an edge is essential, and she won’t ever let you make a decision you will regret. She listens and provides. When other parties dropped the ball on my behalf, she stepped in and made sure I was well taken care of. She is bar none.
