Negative experience: I listed a rather expensive property with her, but fired her after a short time. The problem was, as is so common with realtors, that she had no marketing plan, and basically refused to make any effort to market it. Her tactic is the same as most realtors, put it in MLS and cross fingers waiting for a buyer to appear, then after a couple weeks, start pushing to lower the price. Anybody can keep lowering the price of a property until someone can't pass up a deal and buys it, then the realtor tells you how wonderful they are that they sold it. I reality, there are only two kinds of properties in the market place for sale. One is special for some reason in the neighborhood or town, or appeals to only a select group of people for some reason like gestures or price points. This property needs to be marketed to that demographic that it would appeal to and can afford it. Most every realtor will tell you they are going to market it, but won't make that effort part of the listing agreement, and so after you sign they do nothing. This is what I have and Ellen outright lied about out the marketing, and when I proved her lies she attempted to pivot with more lies. Basically she will do nothing to market your property regardless of what she says. The other type is a typically normal house among others in that locale. It might be slightly different than the others around it but it is basically the same, and so it really just has to be priced appropriately for that neighborhood, school district, or town. If you have this kind of property, put it in MLS yourself with a flat fee service, and if priced right you will save the listing side of the commission as it will sell itself. Ellen did no marketing, lied about it over and over, and therefore I wasted considerable time. Do not trust her

She is extremely responsive, taking note of your specific desires in a home. No matter how often I contact her with questions she is cordial and does everything she can to rectify any concerns I may have. She is extremely knowledgeable about the current housing market and provides suggestions to help you make the best deal. Fantastic experience: I would consider our buyers' search to be challenging given the crazy multi-year seller's market. The features we were looking for were difficult to find, and were often conflicting: price vs size of house vs size of lot, etc. However, Ellen was very patient and encouraging. She was well-informed about newly available listings, comps, and at our request was willing to expand our search to other communities further away. We appreciate her professionalism and focus so much that we used her again when it was time to sell our older home. We would give her high marks and a recommendation for anyone who considers themselves "picky" in their search.
