Matt Sorensen, Real Estate Broker

Fantastic experience: Resourceful, Connected, and Truly Outstanding. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Matthew. From beginning to end, he was absolutely exceptional and exceeded every expectation I had for a real estate agent. The house I was buying was a complicated transaction with a number of issues that came up along the way, and this is where Matthew really showed his value. Instead of simply identifying problems and leaving me to figure them out, he immediately went into action. He tapped into his network of trusted plumbers, termite professionals, inspectors, contractors, and other specialists to get me answers quickly and help me understand what needed to be addressed. He coordinated with everyone, followed up, and made an overwhelming process feel manageable. Matthew was equally incredible on the financial side. He worked closely with my mortgage broker to explore creative financing options and help structure the deal in a way that worked for me. He collaborated with everyone involved and stayed engaged in every aspect of the transaction. What impressed me most was that Matthew never treated anything as “not his job.” He took ownership, made calls, found solutions, and kept things moving. There were many times throughout the process when I thought, “I honestly don’t know how I would be navigating this without him.” He was knowledgeable, responsive, proactive, patient, and an incredible advocate for me from start to finish. I always felt that my best interests came first. I ended up with a home I absolutely love, and I genuinely believe the experience would have been dramatically more difficult without Matthew. I would recommend him to my closest friends and family without hesitation. Five stars truly doesn’t feel like enough. If you want an agent who is experienced, connected, resourceful, and completely committed to his clients, Matthew is the one.

Fantastic experience: Matt is a professional realtor and so helpful with explaining the process and what expectations will happen. Every step of the way he kept the sale rolling. Estate sale, cleaning up ,open house, flooring and painting scheduled, inspections and getting that work completed and the list goes on and on. He is very knowledgeable about what he is doing. Helpful at explaining. Passionate with getting the job done in a timely manner. Communication is another highlight. I was out of the area and Matt kept me in the loop. Even took photos of work getting done. ABOVE AND BEYOND 120%. Thank you MATT for all your professional experience in getting this home sold!!!

Fantastic experience: We had a death in the family and had to go through the probate process. We were fortunate to be introduced to Matt early on in the process and he was extremely helpful from the very beginning, even months before we were able to put the property up for sale. Hopefully we will never have to deal with probate ever again. Regardless of the type of sale (or purchase), we will always turn to Matt first for anything real estate related. He made everything associated with this sale as easy as possible for us and constantly under-promised but over-delivered. We highly recommend Matt and his team!

Fantastic experience: A+ Five Star Experience. I recently worked on a transaction with Matt in Oceanside. Throughout the process he was detailed, professional, communicative and focused on making sure we closed and his clients were satisfied. Matt has many years of experience, and it shows in how well his clients are supported, I would highly recommend working with him for any and all real estate matters. Thanks again Dragan!

Fantastic experience: Matt is a consummate professional. Recently, he handled the sale of my late brother's house. His kindness, thoughtfulness and professionalism were evident throughout. He knows the San Diego area real estate markets well and guided the marketing and pricing of the property fairly. For repairs and other services that were needed to the house, he knew capable professionals that could handle the work required and he followed up on their work. Even though I was located 2,000 miles away, Matt kept me fully informed and up to date on every step in the process. For anyone looking to buy or sell a property in the San Diego area, I highly recommend that you consider Matt!

Fantastic experience: Matt Sorensen has been an absolute pleasure to work with. His personalized approach and commitment to our best interest insured we had a smooth and stress-free home buying experience. Buying a home always comes with challenges, Matt handled them like a true professional, his patience and ability to navigate unexpected issues made him invaluable. Matt’s level of dedication is rare from negotiations to last minute hiccups he went above and beyond every step of the way. He went beyond professionalism, creating a comfortable atmosphere and fostering a great relationship. His personable approach made the entire experience enjoyable. I highly recommend Matt for anyone seeking a dedicated and effective real estate professional.

Fantastic experience: Matt was very impressive during our whole process of selling a home. He is one of the hardest working realtors I’ve ever worked with. Not only did he work hard, he was compassionate and listened to what we wanted versus having his own agenda. He was always available and helped guide us through our entire process of selling our home. It truly felt like working with a friend who wanted the best for our family. In my opinion, there isn't another choice whether you're selling or buying, and he is second to none if you are dealing with probate throughout this stressful time. Thank you Matt!

Fantastic experience: Matt went above and beyond every step of the way. He made sure I was included and informed throughout the entire probate process and was always available to answer questions or offer support. Matt even helped me sell my mom’s car — he truly puts his heart into everything he does. I’m so thankful for his kindness, professionalism, and dedication. I couldn’t have asked for a better realtor.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Matt as my realtor back in 2019 to sell my home and purchase a retirement home a few months later. I was impressed by his thoroughness in listing and showing my property in its best light. He got the place sold in 2 weeks for full price! A few months later, he was able to drum up a wide variety of options for my retirement home. He was very patient reviewing dozens and dozens of properties with me. He was patient throughout the process. As my housing needs changed, he was able to quickly pivot and find a broad selection of options eventually finding what I consider to be a diamond of a property. I couldn't be happier and don't think I will ever sell this place (it's a keeper), but when I am ready to buy another property (quite likely), I will call Matt. Update September 2025: Matt came through once again as a stellar agent helping my mom sell the family home and move into retirement living. He is truly a FULL SERVICE agent able to assist in all aspects of such transitions, not just selling the house. The process would have been a nightmare of unknowns without Matt's expert support, advice and diligence in getting the process completed on time. Once again, when I need an agent, Matt will be the one I call.

Fantastic experience: Matt is the real deal. can't say enough about the time and effort he put into selling our probate home.Fair and honest he always answers the phone even in the evening and weekends he knows how to navigate the probate real-estate game sold the home in record time Thanks a million Matt

Fantastic experience: Exceptional Service from Start to Finish! Selling a home can be stressful, but working with Matt made the entire process smooth, efficient, and even enjoyable. It had been 25 years since we had sold our last home and the real estate industry had changed greatly. From our very first meeting, he demonstrated excellent market knowledge, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to getting the best outcome for us. He handled everything - from recommending marketing strategy to repainting, recarpeting, professionally staging, hiring the movers and repairman that fixed items that needed attending, all with precision and care. Communication was always prompt and clear, and we felt supported every step of the way. Thanks to his negotiation skills, our house sold quickly and above asking price! If you're looking for a real estate agent who truly goes above and beyond, look no further than Matt Sorenson! We can't recommend him highly enough! Paul & Cheryl Breen

Fantastic experience: I am so thankful to have met Matt and worked with him. To say he’s an amazing realtor is an understatement. He helped me sell my Father’s house as part of the probate process and he made a stressful situation seamless. He has a network of people who can help with everything, so it takes the guesswork out of it for you. He helped me hold an estate sale for my Dad’s things, and helped to donate and haul away the rest leaving the house ready to sell in the matter of just a few days. From our initial phone call Matt was so personable and knowledgeable. His knowledge of the market helps you make informed decisions. He’s very on top of everything and an excellent communicator. He always answers or returns your calls right away and keeps you updated along the way. I would recommend Matt to anyone who has a real estate need. He is incredible at what he does and you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Calling Matt Sorensen simply a “realtor” doesn’t do justice to the many, many hats he wears. Yes, he is an exceptional, smart, honest realtor with expertise and genuine care for his clients. But in our experience, he is so much more than that. To complete the recent sale of our property in Carlsbad – which sold for a price we were thrilled with at a shaky time in the market – Matt took on the repairs needed by getting all the bids and overseeing all the work including paint, plumbing and flooring. He held an estate sale for us, took items to donate, hired movers to move certain furniture from one property to another, and walked us through the entire escrow process with patience, clear explanations and a pleasant demeanor. His market analysis is right on the money, he is trustworthy, knowledgeable and compassionate. Our experience was SO good, we will never use another realtor in San Diego again because Matt is simply the BEST. If you’re considering working with him, trust us - you will be very glad you did.

Fantastic experience: Matt was a pleasure to work with. He is professional, knowledgeable, honest and an excellent advocate. I would absolutely hire Matt again without reservation.

Fantastic experience: Matthew Sorensen is a masterful real estate guru who possesses integrity, honesty and genuine compassion for the people he serves. His professional expertise, keen listening skills, and masterful communication capability enable him to deliver desired outcomes for all stakeholders with dignity and pinpoint accuracy. Our family is a recent benefactor of his extraordinary talent. Matt and his team successfully executed the sale of our probate property in San Diego county which involved liquidation of estate assets and facilitating essential interior/exterior prep prior to relisting it. The escrow closing was executed seamlessly ahead of schedule and the buyer and the seller were ecstatic over the end result. This mutual outcome was due to Matt’s compassionate persona, his ability to work strategically and collaboratively to negotiate and resolve issues among stakeholders in conjunction with his extensive industry knowledge and professional acumen. I highly recommend Matt Sorensen if you want successful results for your real estate goals. Moreover, I recommend that Los Angeles county residents displaced by the recent fires to contact Matt straightway when searching for homes in the greater San Diego area. Mary Mayes Administrator

Fantastic experience: Matt was extremely professional and communicative. He was a fantastic referral partner and is an excellent agent.

Fantastic experience: Matt was fantastic for our home buying process. When we reached out to him, he gave us lots of time in an interview before we had committed to working with him. Once we selected him as our real estate agent, he gave us tons of resources to help our search. He provided expert advice on where to look and what to look for in a home beyond boiler plate google searches. When we found the home we loved, he aggressively negotiated for us, and when we ran into an unexpected solar problem, he patiently wore down the other agents bluffs and threats all while keeping us assured of a positive outcome. Because of him, our home search was quick, efficient, and we got the home we loved. I can't recommend Matt enough.

He was patient, he listened, and he is honest. We never felt pressured or pushed and we are so grateful for all his guidance during this process.
