Fantastic experience: Phil has a great eye for detail and gives his opinion, which I wanted and asked for. He also did not steer me when I wanted to go in another direction that wasn't necessarily what he would recommend, but was honest about his opinion after the fact. Phil made me feel like we were on the same wavelength as far as communications go at all times, which I view as fundamentally important for an agent. Phil Rocks!

Negative experience: A man named Joseph Kocher came to my private medical practice and left me a one star review when it was determined that his health insurance was not accepted. He appears to be a realtor at this office. It is insulting to receive a one star review online from someone who has never utilized your services. Perhaps this will get the attention of Joseph’s employer, who may teach him a lesson in professionalism. Please ask Mr. Kocher to remove his online comments and to act more rationally in the future when things don’t go according to his liking.

Fantastic experience: Hannah Kim took two terrified first time homebuyers and guided us through our first closing. Her customer service and market expertise is unmatched. We are so thankful to have met her and hope to continue working with her on any future homes.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I worked with Katia Reecer with McEnearney Associates to find a pet-friendly rental home. She was so helpful! I had been trying to do it on my own and been unsuccessful. With Katia's help, I was able to tour five places in a week, determine which our favorite was, and then apply and get accepted. Katia answered all our questions and communicated with the other listing agents in a timely and organized manner, and was very knowledgeable about the area we wanted to move to. If we decide to move again in the future we'll definitely work with Katia!

Fantastic experience: Ashley Fitzgerald is really, really good at her job. She combines exceptional real estate knowledge with genuine care for her clients and pays special attention to needs, lifestyle and budget. She really gets to know you and what you want, then makes the time and effort to help you find the right home options for your consideration. She worked so hard on our house hunt, making herself available at different times to see so many homes! In this tough pandemic market with low inventory and high home prices, she was able to negotiate a great offer that beat out five others. Sometimes, you have someone who is good at their job, but lacks compassion and/or personality. Not Ashley - she really does have it all. She was never pushy, and I never felt like she was just trying to make a sale - sometimes I wondered how she could possibly be so successful saying "no" to so many houses that were not going to be a good purchase for me! But clearly she is doing many things right - and I believe it is because she truly cares about the best outcome for her clients.

Fantastic experience: Katherine Martin of McEnearney Associates helped me to purchase my current apartment and subsequently to put my former house on the rental market. Katherine has gone above and beyond the call of duty to help me every step along the way. This was my first experience with purchasing a real estate property and I needed a lot of "hand-holding" to walk me through the process. Katherine was very knowledgeable about all aspects of real estate management and guided me through very professionally. What I particularly liked is that I developed complete trust that she was advising me based solely on what was in my best interests and not her own self-interest as an agent. She served as my advocate in dealing with work crews when I had some difficulty with their performance. She was unsparing in the amount of time and attention she gave to my every question. Lastly, he's patient and will be there every step of the way whether you're choosing your starter or forever home.

Fantastic experience: Chose Tom Williams over 10 years before decision to sell. Absolutely outstanding service from then through sale: came to the house several years, superb advice about curb appeal and inside clutter. Work done on his advice always felt good and worth effort/expense. At sale time his pricing, scheduling, and showing led to a buyer right after the weekend. His willingness to manage yard, charity, hauling contractors was highly appreciated, letting me pre-sign and move.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had the wonderful experience of having Josue Pinto as our Realtor. Josue was very thorough explaining all the procedures of selling a house in the DC Metropolitan Area. which sometimes can be very difficult to understand and /or confusing. Josue devoted extremely ample time to explain to us everything related with the process; he was very kind in answering our many questions at different times of the day. Josue put our house on the market one Friday and by the following Tuesday our house was under contract; we went to settlement within a month in a record time. Josue showed a lot of interest in helping us; he also was always on top of every single step during the process for our benefit. At the end our house sold for more than the listing price. For this we feel completely confident of recommending Josue Pinto to help anybody with their real estate needs. What impresses me most about working with Phillip is the speed and thoroughness with which he responds to my many, many questions and requests for changes to contracts. I am happy to recommend him.

Negative experience: As a home owner who used McEnearney as a property manager for three years I can say they were absolutely awful. They were very poor at communicating with me, especially when there were problems with the apartment. It took them several months to send me any invoices for the services they were charging me for. There were several charges for work that was allegedly done to the apartment, but when I checked the work it was either poorly done, or not done at all. When I asked for receipts they did not provide them. I was overseas, so I relied on McEnearney to be honest property managers, but they just weren't. The coup de grace came a few days ago when I tried to renew my business license in DC so that I could rent my unit out again. The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs told me that I owed more than $500 in late fees because I did not renew or cancel my license and it had lapsed. They sent the renewal notice to McEnearney as my property managers, but McEnearney never sent it to me. Stay away from these people at all costs.

She listens to you, guides you through the process, and helps you pick what is best for you. One of her many added values is that she knows all the contractors and professionals you may need, and I've never gotten a bad referral from her. I already recommended Joan to a number of my friends and neighbors, who used her services to their great satisfaction. If I ever need to sell or buy again, I'm calling Joan!

Negative experience: Dishonest agent for rental home. Agent was told we wanted the house and would give him our application on Tuesday. PERFECT RENTER! Single. Professional. Guaranteed payment. Long lease. No pets. No children. Monday night we get an email that the house was rented. He didn't even give the owners a chance to see the application. He said he would call the applicant if there was any other interest, because he knew how much the applicant wanted the house. No call...no email. The applicant and the owners both lost the perfect connection due to the laziness of the agent. If you want someone with YOUR interest in mind....do NOT use these people.
