Negative experience: TLDR; if you want an agent who doesn’t show to a confirmed appointment, Tulay is for you!! Story time: we’re on Zillow and confirm an appointment. When we show up, no agent is there, so we follow up with the one we get assigned to. Lucky for us, it was Tulay! Turns out, she texted us, in less than an hour before the appointment, to confirm if we were coming (isn’t that what Zillow confirmation is for?) So, my bad, I should have been reading my texts while driving to the appointment. Silly me. And she didn’t message us on Zillow (which we actually checked) but directly on our phone. Now normally this would have been fine, but we never started a conversation with her on our personal line. Did I expect a message from some rando? No. Should I have? Possibly. After not showing up, she then suggests it’s our fault for not confirming. “Unfortunately it happens quite often that people make appointments online and then don’t show up”. My fault again! I should have asked Zillow for your direct contact info so I could show up to your office and schedule an appointment. So like any top 1.5% luxury homes real estate agent would do, Tulay “made another appointment when she didn’t hear back from us.” I guess I wouldn’t have found this upsetting, except for the fact that she miraculously found another appointment within the 40 minutes we didn’t respond. She’s in high demand, folks. So, after having driven an hour to see a property we couldn’t see and being told it was our fault, she recommends her colleague, Ari, who is probably a nice guy but available after 430p (4.5 hours from our original appointment). Ari said he was showing some properties but could take the time after to accommodate us. See, that’s nice. Keeping appointments that you confirmed on keeping. Anyway, enough of the rant. My conclusion is Tulay is a top 1.5% agent in Westchester (per her website) because she churns potential clients, and probably didn’t think I was worth her time. Thanks for personal and truly rewarding experience, Tulay!!! EDIT: thanks for your response, Tulay! Context is important. After I confirmed on Zillow and you messaged me on Google, you didnt get my response on WhatsApp?! You must’ve missed it. And as the text shows, after we connected at 12:07pm, you “immediately” connected me to your partner at 12:50pm.. right after WE asked you what we should do. Thanks for the thoughtful initiative and we appreciate you gaslighting us (again)! Sorry again for inconveniencing you. Next time we’ll be more detail-oriented and communicative to make your life easier.

Fantastic experience: Tulay Erdem was the best real estate agent we could ask for! We were first time home buyers looking all across Westchester County after spending 6 years in Manhattan. We didn't know exactly which village or town we wanted to settle down in, and Tulay helped us explore them all! We looked at the river towns including Hastings on Hudson and Dobbs Ferry. Then we saw Scarsdale and Greenville. She took us to the other side of Westchester including Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Rye Neck, and Shore Acres. We then saw homes around Bronxville and Eastchester and fell in love with a house in the south part of Eastchester. The entire time she helped us understand the pros and cons of each village, whether it was schools, shopping, commute, and much more. Throughout the process, Tulay was so helpful and communicative in something that was new to us. She never pushed us to go outside our comfort zone on price, even when many houses sold for far above asking! She also had contacts from her network within Christies International Real Estate and worked to identify a few off-market listings that had potential. Ultimately, when we found the home for us, she was even able to negotiate it down below asking! This was after the last 5 houses we made over ask offers on, sold for 20% over listing in a very competitive market. She was able to save us a considerable sum of money, which will certainly help as first time home buyers. In the contract process, she helped us organize general home inspections, roof inspection for an older roof, check that there was not a buried oil tank or open permits, and work with our attorney to get the job done. Tulay always made us feel like the top priority. We can't recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: I had the great fortune of being connected with Tulay in 2024 when i was interested in purchasing a property in a part of New York i wasn’t familiar with. As a direct consequence of Tulay’s knowledge, hard work and negotiating skills i closed on the property a few weeks later.
