Fantastic experience: UDATED 3/19/2026. After living in San Leandro for 34 years, we wanted to relocate to the Monterey Peninsula area. We had visited the area numerous times over the years and loved its proximity to the beaches, rugged coastline, beautiful sunsets and canine friendly environment. After setting up the move, we talked with a several realtors with experience in the East Bay. Sheila was referred to us by a neighbor in our development who had dealt with her team over many years. We selected Sheila’s team even though another realtor would have cost us 1% less in sales commission. The referral by our long time neighbor carried significant weight. The 1% difference in sales commission was not a significant factor in our decision. We were looking for a realtor with a support team of experienced and reliable contractors who had worked with her previously. Contractors who would get our house prepped for listing and do the necessary repairs and upgrades with no drama. Also a reliable contractor who’d get rid of the “junk” we had accumulated over the years quickly. All at reasonable cost, of course. Sheila has a good “no fuss” team of reputable contractors behind her. That gave us the confidence that we would get the house prepped for listing with no major headaches and delays. We selected Sheila Z. mainly based her team of competent back office support staff and licensed contractors. Our experience from pre-listing prep to closing validated our expectations. We believe we have done well in choosing to work Sheila Z and her team. We had a couple of minor bumps with escrow paperwork while we were traveling in France. That was handled with no fuss by Sheila and the escrow team. We valued Sheila’s team approach of working through issues methodically and steadily, without a lot of drama. When we saw an investment property that seemed just right and would likely fly off the market, she responded immediately to our text and took us to see it the next day, drafting an offer letter after reviewing everything carefully with us and pointing out things we should look out for.
