She helped my friends buy and sell their homes in Iowa City, and I know they researched several realtors before moving from Chicago to Iowa City. When I asked them for a recommendation without hesitation, they said: “Natasha Wendt from Urban Acres; she will treat you well, and you will be pleased working with her.” After my initial meeting with Natasha, I didn’t want to interview any other realtors. She was warm, knowledgeable, very attentive to my needs, took diligent notes, and came up with a plan for putting the house on the market in a genuinely uncertain market. For a while, my house was a rental, and it had been a bit neglected by the tenants, but now it was going to be on the market, and I needed recommendations for painters, handypeople, etc. Finding trustworthy people who could do the job on time was the most stressful part, but Natasha has a long list of local people who think highly of her and can do the jobs. She was an incredible help. As we discussed goals, it truly felt like a team; Natasha continuously checked in and discussed how things were. Natasha was wonderfully accommodating and always available for in person house tours and even a couple FaceTime tours! Fantastic experience: After getting engaged, my fiancée and I decided to buy a house together in Iowa City. I have been friends with Natasha for about six years now, and when it came time to choose a real estate agent, there was no question in my mind who we should ask. From past personal experiences with Natasha, I knew her to be honest, hardworking, knowledgeable, professional, and persistent. She also has a great sense of humor, which is a fantastic trait in a real estate agent, as well as in a friend. We started house hunting in December/January, and we had a great experience working with Natasha. She was easy to talk to and easy to get in touch with. She listened to what we wanted and was responsive. She seemed to have that insight, probably coming from experience, of occasionally seeming to know more about what we really wanted than we ourselves did. She was never overbearing in this regard, but she did prove an invaluable guide throughout the process. In spite of winter weather, holidays, and my fiancée living a hundred miles away, we were able to look at a lot of houses with Natasha. She kept us informed of new homes coming on the market, and she was also great at arranging for us to see any that we found. Fantastic experience: Finding a realtor in a market you are unfamiliar with is a daunting task. My husband and I found ourselves in that situation 4 years ago when our son moved to Iowa City to attend the U of I. I visited the websites of the local realty agencies and found one that appeared to have a different vibe. Perhaps a little more personable than the norm for realty websites. It clearly showed that a little more loving care was put into it. Natasha's little background blurb convinced me that she may be the realtor we needed. Turned out I was right! From the moment we met, we found Natasha to be friendly, knowledgeable, honest and dedicated to the task of finding our son a place to live that would meet our needs. She showed us listings from a range of possibilities, learning what we liked and what we didn't very rapidly. I believe we found the perfect place in a one weekend visit to IC. She made the entire process so effortless! After we bought the condo, she remained a valuable resource. Kid needed a car mechanic? No problem, call Natasha! Best meat market in IC? Natasha knows. Fast forward 4 years. The kid is graduating and moving back to the great state of Minnesota. Who to call to sell the condo? A no brainer. If it could be possible, selling the place was even less stressful than buying it. It sold the day it went on the market. Aside from being the consummate professional, you will quickly learn that Natasha is a genuinely nice human being. She made the buying and the selling of the condo a pleasant adventure. I recommend her highly and without reservation!

Fantastic experience: Natasha went from being a great land lady to being a great realtor when we decided to buy our first house last year. We had done some research, but Natasha helped walk us through every step of the process. She really paid attention to our budget and our preferred location and style of house. She got us in to look at what would become our house just hours after it had gone on the market. I felt like getting in early really made a difference. She gave us a lot of very helpful advice about owning a home that we've put to use in this first year. Being new to the area, we also really appreciated her list of recommendations for local businesses. We've now been in our house for almost a year and just love it.

Natasha listened carefully to what we were looking for, and only showed us the kinds of houses that she knew we'd be serious about. She was upfront about any challenges we might face in terms of financing and potential issues with houses, which was very helpful when making our decision. She was friendly, funny, and very timely with her communications. We have been in our new house for five months, and it is perfect for us. I cannot recommend Natasha highly enough!
