Positive experience: People were helpful. Once inside, the community was beautiful. Very large complex with numerous neighborhoods. The community offers numerous amenities. However, it just didn't give me a feeling of warmth. Beautiful community. I wouldn't feel safe leaving at night.

Coming from a resort style lifestyle, The Grand offers resort style amenities, 4 fabulous golf courses, restaurants, state of the art gyms and indoor/outdoor pools just too name a few things. Negative experience: The new and improved grand cafe is garbage, $12 Margherita Pizza came out really cold with NO Tomatoes The cookie sheet it came on was also cold. $12 chicken ceaser salad was worse . Luckily we got our money back will not return !!!!!

Fantastic experience: I was there to take an informal tour of this retirement community. The grounds were spotless. There were lots of places to sit and relax. The bulletin boards listed a multitude of activities. There was a quaint little library which allows you to take as many books as you like for as long as you like. Looking from the outside the pool looked like a water park. I could see that alot of people invited their families, and both young and old were having a great time. There is a Drama and Comedy Club and that day their production apparently was quite the hit. Applause could be heard throughout the area and the performers came out for pictures afterward. This is a place worth looking into

Positive experience: The Palm Center and Adobe Activities and Club center hsve a newly remodeled patio and outdoor event area... but food service and restaurant selections are far below par.

Positive experience: A well maintained, nice lifestyle!!

Negative experience: I tried for months to convince the gym monitor, athletic director, and general manager that men working on the ceiling in the Cimarron gym off 12 foot stepladders without even yellow cautionary tape at prime time when the gym was packed to capacity was extremely dangerous to the residents. I got nowhere except a complaint filed against me. Reluctantly, I had to bring in the City of Surprise Code Enforcement and Occupational Health and Safety Association before someone was injured or killed. I just don't understand what the Board of Directors would think about all this.

Negative experience: If you are an owner of investment properties and looking to expand DO NOT buy here!! They are money hungry, charge unfair fees to owners of rental homes, and they do not take care of their own responsbilities. Trying to get them to take care of the front yards they are contractually responisble for is like pulling teeth! They should invest in a good HOA management company to help set them straight.

Negative experience: My knitting group meets here at Palm Center on Sunday afternoons. The views are breathtaking.

Negative experience: 2 Women murder by exworkers who did lawn work. Not safe. The ppl who runs this place are unfriendly they look at you like ur bothering them. The men in the pool who plays volley ball are loud and rude. If you like to play they wont hit the ball to you. Now if you are young and pretty they will break there necks trying to get you to play. The pool rules are no music no floats no beer. I was told they keep it 82degrees all year round which is a lie. You pay dues then you have to pay to do a class you have to pay for just about everything and if you complain they will cut your card off where you cant do nothing go to pool or gym and will not give your money back. Don't live here it sucks.
