Fantastic experience: I've lived here about 3 yrs. Every single opportunity I've had to work with the Hoag Management team has been exceptional. They are quick to respond and resolve any issue that has arisen. They are professional, courteous wee informed. I am very grateful for Patty Magdalena who leads the team perfectly. She is easy to communicate with and is resolved to quickly iron out any problems. I rate them very highly.

Negative experience: Lilian Pineda is a very rude person if she doesn't like the tenant she will even refuse repairs in your apartment, she goes for inspection and she doesn't repair anything as she promises.

Negative experience: From the moment I moved my family into one of their properties I had trouble.

Yvette, the property manager was very helpful with answering any questions I had and guiding me through the steps I had to take. The staff at the office were very nice and informative. Negative experience: Wish I could give 0 stars. Got jerked around by Margarita and Jerry for a house. We had a completed application for the place and were first in line, but Jerry decided my housing history needed to be more detailed. They proceeded to call former landlords without my permission to get answers to the specific rental verification questions they felt were necessary. When one of them provided them with what they wanted, Margarita informed me that we had been bumped down the list of applicants and that we would hear back from them when the landlord made a decision. We never heard back. We found a wonderful place NOT through Hoag with a beautiful yard and it was a blessing in disguise. I would never work with them.

She was kind and helpful thru the whole process of finding my new home. Since I’ve been at my place she is always helpful when I reach out with questions. Thank you Ofelia!

Fantastic experience: Honestly I haven't been there to look at the place I've just seen pictures but I have heard a lot of good things about the staff at all Hoag Properties and when you have a nice friendly and humble staff you can bet you will be pleased to go home and rest and the receptionist that attended my call today Daisy Ochoa proved that to be true if they take care of you like that over the phone I'm sure they will take care of me in person. I think that young Lady deserves a promotion this industry needs more property managers like her. P.S. I am not sure if she is a property manager but she should be.

Fantastic experience: I have been living in a house that Hoag manages for 5 years. We are officially moving out but I must say the support that I received from both Patty and Jennifer have been amazing. Whenever I had questions, maintenance requests, concerns, or just anything in general they would always be reachable by phone or would call me back within the same day. They both made sure we had an amazing stay here and we sincerely appreciate everything Hoag, Patty, and Jennifer did for me and my family. We were blessed to have to opportunity to live in this home that was managed by such a wonderful team and certainly made memories for our growing family. Thank you girls and Hoag!!!

Fantastic experience: Been a tenant at an apt managed by Hoag Management for a long time and I have to say, every time there’s an issue with a tenant or maintenance, Lilian Pineda is quick to get the right personnel to resolve the issue. The team has been prompt, professional, and courteous in addressing any concerns or issues I've had. The maintenance staff is top-notch, and the grounds are always well-maintained by Myrna. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and comfortable. “Thank you for all that you do!”

She was very professional , helpful and understanding .There was a pretty lengthy process getting my family and I into our new home but she stayed on top of things and made sure at the end we were in our new place . Negative experience: I would really give this place -☆because this place has horrible customer service to its own customers.When calling the office for help they leave you on hold for over 20 min and then hang up.My H.O.A need to find a new property management.

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the way this property managements manager Ofelia handels situations with the tenants, especially with myself. She is Rude, ghetto and unprofessional, she will literally argue on the phone like a middle schooler, speaks over you, needs to have the last word and gives little to NO help. I'm extremely dissatisfied, they'll do what they can to unlawfully push one over on you. I wouldn't doubt they'll try to retaliate against me for this review. Do yourself a favor and seek elsewhere, this isn't the type of environment nor people you want to do business with. This company went to the trash, My landlord has even mentioned about fireing them. I now understand why, I honestly would give 0 stars had it given me the option. I've even tried contacting Jerry the owner of HOAG several times on numerous occasions to bypass speaking to Ofelia or her sister Lilian and everytime he's either on lunch, not in the office, or away from his desk. Still haven't heard back other than his comment below, and I've called again after the comment but still nothing.

Negative experience: PATHETIC! Most improper and incapable management. Roaches in the entire building which they manage, and there is absolutely no response or action from them. They don't take any ownership of any sought, always blaming it on the tenants. Avoid them at all costs!

Fantastic experience: They have the best customer (tenant) service!!! I've been a tenant for 7 years, now. Since COVID-19 I've had a more active communication with the management team. They show RESPECT, TRUST and SUPPORT. They helped me thru my difficult times and responded every email and call attentively. Special thanks too Griselda Perez, Fabiola Guerrero and Vince.

Fantastic experience: The Accounting Department for HOAG has their business in order. I love the option to pay online. Sadly, many property companies don't even have this option. My accounting questions were always answered with a friendly and professional voice and they always made me feel important. Being an accountant myself, I understand the difference between a good and a great accounting department and having friendly and professional members that make you feel important is part of a great Accounting Department.

Negative experience: I would not recommend doing business with Hoag Property Management. I submitted a renters application on January 9th and then waited a week and a half for the management team to explain complications with the application. After resolving various paperwork issues, Hoag then stated that our guarantor was required to come IN-PERSON to sign the final paperwork. As an out-of-state student, my guarantor is not locally based. Hoag refused any alternative (email, zoom, notary, mail) and refused to recognize the various health and safety risks involved with meeting in person during a pandemic. Do not waste your time with this organization. If Hoag didn't want me renting their property, they should have simply told me in the begining rather than wasting my time.

Fantastic experience: Great place very professional crew

Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant with hoag property management at a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom property. They have really nice properties at a reasonable price worth the experience working with them and living in one of the properties they have available. I had the best experience with them, both properties were kept always kept clean. I worked with property supervisor Lilian Pineda and she was always so prompt to help and answer any questions I had. If you are looking for a place and hoag property management has it available, I would say go for it! Thank you hoag property for your great quality of work, professionalism.

Negative experience: Awful property management....the house was destroyed by the tenants that lived in the home for 12 years management by Hoag. Dont let them ruin your investment!!!!!! Stay away!

Negative experience: Do not use Hoag Property to rent your house. The tenants they chose trashed the house. We said no pets and pets ruined carpeting and window blinds. Tenants ruined the grass in the backyard due to parking a car on the grass for years. WORST PROPERTY MANAGERS!!

Fantastic experience: The best part of Hoag is that you never have to worry. I've been on both sides as a tenant and a landlord with them. I also used them to help me purchase a home and also renovate and sell my mother-in-law's home. The best thing I can say about them is that I keep coming back. What more do you want out of a management company?!

Negative experience: Luis Palencia at Hoag is the worst property managers out there. Very rude, unprofessional, untrustworthy, and poor communicator. Violated numerous laws, performed illegal activities, and broke policies. He was also caught in several scandals of lying and under suspicion of stealing. We fired him and will never use Hoag again. Not a company we recommend doing business with.

Negative experience: My boyfriend and his friend applied for an apartment with HOAG. He physically handed their applications to a woman named Fabiola, paid for two application fees, and one week later, they were denied because they claimed only one application was received. Unbelievable misconduct. How have they not had their licensees pulled yet? I encourage you to read all the bad reviews on Yelp which corroborates their pattern of misconduct. We noticed the apartment they applied for was on the market for a long, long time and one has to wonder why they continue to accept so many applications. What is the likelihood that NONE of those applications qualify? Do they pocket this money? Sell the personal information?We don’t know but something is fishy with this level of unprofessionalism, which isn’t the word here. Totally illegal.

Negative experience: Based off giving my information providing number for a schedule appointment to see an apartment. They need to learn to value others people time. A simple rain check helps anyone who is awaiting for a appointment, or phone call to verify. Other than this 4/5 is ONE OF THE BEST I have seen in multiple agencies.

Fantastic experience: Hoag has been part of the association for over 10 years. The team at Hoag have always gone beyond their duty to help the association in every aspect. Always providing excellent advice and keeping us up to date with required legal needs an HOA has. Positive experience: It's almost impossible to get in touch with a Property supervisor. They either dont answer their phones when I'm transferred to them and they never call when I leave a message or phone call

Positive experience: I live in Traditions and I'm unhappy with the pool area. Everyday I notice a group of teenage boys taking over the pool. I've watched families leave because of the yelling and bad language. Not a family community atmashere.

Negative experience: I have had a disappointing experience with Hoag management. Both the current tenant and I have inquire about renting a property numerous times within the last month. Until today I have always been put through to voicemail with no return of my messages. The individual running reception was very polite when directing my calls. When I finally was able to get ahold of the individual in charge of the property she told me she would give me the necessary information by the end of the day, and never called back. If you are in a situation that is time sensitive, (such as a lease being up) I would highly reccomend looking for a different property that is not managed by Hoag Property Management Inc.

Negative experience: Lillian does not do her job. This firm also provides their tenants with illegally made keys that should only be given out by associations responsible for that matter. Do not do business with these people.

Negative experience: DO NOT EXPECT TO RECEIVE MUCH OF YOUR DEPOSIT BACK!! I lived at one of their property for 2 years and this is what they charged be after I moved out. 1. Paint - $167 I do not have any kids and kept the property very clean. No damages to the wall at all. If anything, little marks from furniture being there too long at one spot. 2. Cleaning - $130 This is understandable. But they are charging more than other companies. 3. Carpet cleaning - $50 Now, why are they charging cleaning fee again if it was already charged. 4. Trash- $100 I took all the trash out. They are saying that the trash is for Direct TV satlelite dish that was left. I was instructed by Direct TV to leave it on just in case the new tenant might want to have direct TV. There is nothing about Direct TV being trash on the lease. This company is horrible!!! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. If you have to rent, ask them what they will charge after you move out. Make sure that it gets included in the lease agreement. Make sure to take pictures before you move out so that you can fight back their false claims!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: My fiancé apartment is just horrible, nothing gets fixed, the carpet is rotten, paint peeling off walls , cracks through out the place, the manager always says they gonna fix it but so far has not, it took them two years to replace his stove. Otherwise great area.

Negative experience: Not a good management! They kept some money from my deposit after I moved out. They've claimed that they had to clean the carpet, even after I've used Rug Doctor on it. So, I paid for the Rug Doctor(gave them copy of my receipt), and they've kept some money for cleaning. That's not fair! Someone recommended me this company, maybe they were great- years ago. I didn't have good experience with them. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The carpet should've been replaced anyway, because I've lived there for a couple of years!

Fantastic experience: Throughout the entire moving process Hoag Property Management was always on top of things and so far since I have been here they have continued their superb customer service. I had a leaking faucet and it was fixed within a couple days. Very pleased so far. I don't plan on moving out anytime soon!
