Fantastic experience: I’ve lived here several years I can honestly say It’s “GREAT” The Management team and the professional staff honestly care about the quality of services and the livelihood they provide to the residents. All maintenance issues are addressed and resolved quickly in a kind caring manner. And The vast majority of us senior citizens have increased appetites and waistlines due to the frequent party gatherings provided to us No doubt about it …Living here is a GOOD THING !

Fantastic experience: I’m so happy with my experience here so far! The apartment community is super quiet, peaceful, and welcoming, which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s such a nice feeling to come home to a calm and relaxing environment. The leasing office has also been absolutely wonderful! Joanne and Valentina have both been so kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout the whole process. They’ve made moving in feel so much easier and have been great to work with. I’m really looking forward to making this place my home and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful community with an amazing leasing team! ❤️

Negative experience: Ive lived there for almost 2 years, I started to see bed bugs, and decided to leave the apartment building. It’s infested, and after hearing from neighbors that they have the problem too, I couldn’t stay any longer. Any future resident, be sure to ask the right questions

Fantastic experience: This apartment is a very beautiful, quiet, nice and safe place to live. It's very secure as well. I love how the property manager Mrs. Valentina and her team always be having a little get together for her tenants. For example, pizza parties and on holidays. To me I find it very lovely. The floor I was on and the building I was in was very cozy, quiet; clean(ed) and your package were safe. Nobody stole anything from anyone on the floor I was one. I had a really wonderful experience living at the Surfside Tower apartments. I really enjoyed my time living at the Surfside Towers apartments. In my own experience, the property mamanger Mrs. Valentina, she's also awesome; she's patience, have a listening ears and professional. Including Mrs. Joann too as well. They are both awesome.!!!! I will miss them both. It's hard to find people that are really nice and patience with listening ears nowadays. I really appreciate Mrs. Valentina and Mrs. Joann as well ✨

Fantastic experience: I can't express how much of a joy it has been to work with Valentina, Joanne, and our maintenance man Ron. Valentina sold me on this place the 1st time I looked at it, she's such a gem!! Valentina, Joanne, and Ron have always been compassionate and responsive to and inquiry we've had, and all three have gone above and beyond. They put so much of themselves into taking care of us, I hope corporate realizes the great team we have here and gives them the real support they need!

Fantastic experience: Surfside Towers Apts is absolutely one of the best places I have ever lived. I feel that the staff goes above and beyond Valentina is the perfect office manager. She always goes above and beyond to help others and so does Joanne Joanne is very good about returning my calls answering questions that I may have they both make a great team so thank you Surfside Towers for making my place a residence a true home. I appreciate you all so much you do such an excellent job and everything you do.

Negative experience: DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Several people are moving out and being treated for bedbugs with heat treatment because it’s so severe. This by far has been the worst experience I’ve ever had they charge $1200 but when you move in, you have water damage from the previous tenant that they never repaired. They just pay over. There is an astronomical problem with bedbugs and roaches. They don’t reply to any of the request and the front desk woman named Joanne she kinda Looks like a walking dead person who used to smoke cigarettes so there’s nothing cheerful about her voice and she’s the first person that you meet when you walk into that office. It’s the worst taste in your mouth that you could ever have. The pictures are below and it is showing they don’t repair anything. They cover the mold with white spray paint.

Fantastic experience: Thank you RHM for giving us tenants the delight of having this new remodel to the apartment while we are still here. Instead of after we leave. Also the freshly painted balconies. Appreciate the painter in that hot sun for us. He is doing a great job. Hats off to the workers doing flooring. Very professional. Mostly day after day the staff working here putting up with day to day problems with a Smile! Valentina,our Manager. JoAnn in office.Ron,Maintenance Boss and Hector. Negative experience: It’s a shame I can’t leave 0 stars. I’ve only been living here for a little over three weeks, and I already regret moving in. From the very beginning, the apartment had several maintenance issues that should have been addressed before I moved in. It took multiple requests to get things fixed, and communication with the property manager has been EXTREMELY frustrating and unreliable.I expected a safe, well-maintained, and professionally managed apartment — and that is not even close to what I got. It's clear that tenant concerns are not a priority here. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I wish I had listened to the red flags. Also, take the time to read the recent reviews — they reflect exactly what I’m experiencing. Do not move in here!!

Fantastic experience: Hi surfside management and hard workers. Just wanted let you and others know how happy we are here. We moved here in June of 2024 and Valentina, JoAnn, Ron, and everyone else have been so nice. These days it's hard to find super worth ethics like Ron in maintenance has. We love the area here in Eastlake. The grounds on the Apt complex are kept up well. We enjoy the outside grill area, gardens, and Park like setting. All the residents here always have smiles and greet you warmly. We hope to live here many more years . Thank you again surfside. Danny and Keith

Fantastic experience: I have lived here for a little under 2 years. This is the best 55 and older community compared to others and this one by far is the best.The staff in the office is always available and willing to help, with any questions, concerns or complaints. They have been consistent with keeping the property clean and safe for all the tenants. The maintenance staff and housekeeping staff are friendly and are very professional. They keep things clean and respond to maintenance issues in a very timely manner. ( they even respond on the weekends without an issue) Thank you for keeping my home safe and clean. I really love it here.

Fantastic experience: I usually don’t do reviews but I have to comment on my experience so far. I haven’t been here to long it’s only almost two months, but I can say I really like it here. The best part it’s very quiet and the lot never runs out of parking spots, but no problems so far, the other residents are very friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely hoping to get as many years as possible here. I do have to give a shoutout to JoAnn in the office she’s super friendly and helpful, she’s helped me with everything from my tour here all the way to after my move in with any issues (mainly maintenance request) my first few weeks here. She’s made this whole process for me very easy, she’s super responsive and communicative, anytime you reach out she gets right back to you and always keeps you up to date on things. Maintenance is good to they treat everybody like a priority and address your issues as soon as they can.

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. I went apartment shopping with my daughter and she thought it would be a good idea to move into this establishment. While on the tour she specifically asked like she has done on the other tours had the complex had any bug issues or infestation, with a straight face Valentina said “no”. Two weeks after my daughter moved in is when she saw her first living bed bug and promptly called Valentina to make her aware. Exterminator came to set traps and said they didn’t see anymore. Moving forward she saw plenty more and so did her neighbors matter of fact her across the hall neighbor who moved in around the same time as her told my daughter that he was advised by another resident that the 5th floor had bed bugs and they just moving around from floor to floor, building 1 to be specific. Every time she saw one she made Valentina aware, she had guests thinking that when the exterminator came to so call treat her apartment the issue was resolved and they unfortunately got bit. When confronted about the issue Valentina lied and said my daughter never asked if the apartment ever had pests problems..hmmm!!! Just a warning if you don’t want to live in a infested complex DO NOT move there. And to follow up on the recent comment about it being a community and to walk over and talk to management, that was done also went and called RHM guess what nothing happened. So as far as “community “ I think that should be something taken up with RHM and the leasing office and ask them why it has been over 8 months and they have tenants living there with bed bugs and they can’t get it under control. I do not live there but my daughter has an apartment there so I know first hand and I find it very disheartening to sit here and blame people who are paying their rent and making it seem as if they are on here complaining about things that they have not tried to handle the correct way in the first place. You try living with it and let me know how that goes???

Negative experience: I have two loved ones in the complex. Since Valentina and RHM have taken over from Chuck and Theresa, the quality of the properties has degraded. It has been a year since renovations have started, there are loose outlets in the halls, exposed ceiling tiles with leaking plumbing, and I have been told on several occasions that the security cameras do not work. There are known drug dealers living in the buildings, a persistent bed bug problem, with Terminix trucks in the parking lot every Saturday, and a passive aggressive communication style from Valentina the property manager. Welcome to the new Shoregate Towers of Lake County.

Fantastic experience: As a long-time resident, I'm a little disappointed to see these comments. We're a community here, and it's important to support each other and work together. I've been here through several management changes, and I've always found them to be responsive and helpful. If you have a problem, walk to the office talk to the manager. That's how we solve things. I'm not sure who's posting these comments, but it doesn't seem like they're part of our community. The recent bug issue was handled quickly. Let's keep our community clean and respectful.

Negative experience: I would honestly give this apartment complex zero stars. The apartment complex has a bed bug infestation and despite notifying management, they were not helpful and didn’t take the issue seriously. It was a very uncomfortable stay, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Positive experience: I've lived here for a while now and while it is nice and quiet the rent, utilities, and laundry facilities keep getting raised. In only 2 years the price of living here has gone up roughly 200 dollars a month including all those aforementioned things. The staff is nice but the hallways are still filled with drywall bits and staples from the hallway updates that started over half a year ago. The number plates from everyone's doors have just been laying on the ground that entire time as well.

Negative experience: BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS, ROACHES, AND MORE BED BUGS. Do not live here. The property manager company woth lie to your face and deny a bed bug infestation!!!!!! I woke up one morning with 4 plus bed bug bites ALL OVER MY BODY. The property manager company are very unprofessional and UNreliable THIS BUILDING NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. BED BUGS, BED BUGS, and MORE BED BUGS

Negative experience: I would like to start this off by saying I typically have no issues when it comes to living here, but have since had problems when a new property manager took over the complex. I have been here for about 4 years and everything has been great until this new manager took over. The communication from the property manager is unacceptable and non-existent. There have been two instances of my mail (both in my mailbox and a package delivery) has been tampered with and/or stolen. I called the property manager about these instances and left two voicemails and have not received a return call from her about the issue. When I called the office to try to get in contact with the property manager. The leasing agent, Joanne, told me she spoke with Valentina, the property manager, about my call in the morning and that the security cameras in the building were not working. She then told me that Valentina would return my call but she still has not. The maintenance staff here is amazing. Joanne is great and always kind. I am extremely disappointed with the current property manager and her communication with the tenants here. Update: see attached photo to see how management addresses residents. Extremely disrespectful and the property manager somehow has the time to type this nonsense up but not return phone calls.

Negative experience: I sent an inquiry about possibly renting a 2 bedroom apartment...I didn't even get the chance to send in or complete an application...I was turned away basically because I have a 5 yr old daughter...I was told that 90% of the renters are for the older people and 10% makes up for the 18 and over. I am 34 years old. I will be contacting HUD on Monday. It's unacceptable to be turned away

Fantastic experience: This is A Great Place to Live However it is Smoking Building incase you have Allergies or Asthma Pets allowed

Negative experience: This place is a nightmare!!! It is not really a Senior Complex as advertised. The building is highly toxic, and filled with second-hand smoke. This is not a place where anyone should live.

Fantastic experience: I've been in contact with Valentina looking into these apartments and I have to say this is by far the most exceptional customer service I have experienced. She goes above and beyond to make sure all my questions are answered thoroughly and quickly. She has made this experience more pleasant than I could have asked for. The kindness and professionalism I have received has been nothing but amazing!!

She was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed to safely move into the building. After a series of unfortunate events and bad experiences with my previous apartment at Shortage Towers, meeting Valentina and the manager Teresa was a breath of fresh air. They both showed great dedication and went the extra mile to help me settle into my new home. I am truly grateful for their support and assistance. Thank you once again for all your help!

Fantastic experience: I lived in this complex for the past 4 years and the apartment was the perfect size, the staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the community is full of so many amazing people. Negative experience: I visited my best friend's mom who lives in Surfside Towers building 2 and no pets allowed they can't sit in the lobby and talk to there neighbors and they took all the chairs and couches out they're raising the rent like crazy the only good thing is they take Section 8 housing

Fantastic experience: I've lived here for six years and have had a great experience. Management and staff are great. Teresa and Chuck are always friendly and professional. Maintenance fixes problems ASAP and are very knowledgeable. John is amazing. We'll kept building, quiet and safe. Across the street from the beautiful lake. And close to great restaurants and entertainment. Great shopping nearby!

Positive experience: I've lived here over a year now and the reality is set in. They have a boiler heating system that bangs and bubbles and girgles in the walls at night. You can not control the heat even though you have a thermostat. Many people have to keep their Windows open. Lots of gossip from the ladies that get together in the lobby. Office people are very nice but they are bogged down by petty gossip and complaints. People report the slightest rules being broke. My friend changed his flat tire in the parking lot and was repremanded by the office after a complaint.
