Fantastic experience: My husband and I have purchased two homes (one primary residence and one investment property) and sold a primary residence with Karriem over the last 2 years. Karriem was wonderful to work worth. He is patient and does not push his buyers to move when not ready, but was prepared to act quickly when we unexpectedly found a home earlier than expected, including connecting us with a lender able to complete a pre-approval on the weekend. What sets him apart the most from other agents I’ve worked with is the creativity and problem solving expertise he brings to the process. We were able to secure the first houses we chose both times not due to highly outbidding others, but based on unique contract terms suggested by Karriem. He was also able to secure us a no-inspection/no-appraisal above asking offer when selling our home. We will definitely work with him again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Karriem and his Corner House team helped my family buy our new home and sell our previous one. He was hands-on from start to finish! He was also very patient because our real estate journey took 1.5 years with searches and abandonments and new searches. He never tried to rush us or encourage a decision that wasn’t ours. Negative experience: I understand things are tough right now and everyone's got to do what they can to get business but I simply can't recommend Mr. Hopwood as a realtor.     I received communication from him based on a listing I asked for further information on.    I had specific questions about the property and wondered about the seller/background as it would not work for my needs if either that information was unavailable or not a possibility.    I asked to be contacted via email instead of phone because it is more convenient due to my work.  Instead of answering the questions I asked and providing information, I received a sales pitch from Mr. Hopwood.    Again, I asked for the answers on the property as there was no point in going any further without them; if the property would not work for my needs, I would not pursue it further.   We continued a chase in him asking me questions instead of just answering what I wanted to know about the specific property I inquired about.    In the end, he simply provided the listing agent's phone number because he didn't have any information on the actual property and said I'd be better off contacting them because I didn't want a pitch and "wasting his time".

Fantastic experience: My wife and I couldn't be happier that we chose to work with Karriem to find our new home and, just as importantly, to sell our old one. He and the whole Corner House team were super responsive as they answered our ten million questions and held our hands throughout the entire process. Fantastic experience: Selling a property in the midst of COVID-19 was quite different from pre-COVID with all of the mitigation and social distancing i place. In spite of all of the challenges, Karriem provided excellent service and prompt follow-up and follow-through throughout the process. Fantastic experience: I worked with Karriem in 2019 and 2020 when buying and selling my home. He was incredible to work with, always on top of everything and always available. He made you feel like you were the #1 client. He was the one that found our forever home and he sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic, which was NOT an easy task. We only had about 10 people come see the home and he followed up with every single one of them. He kept us informed and got us the offer we wanted. He even made sure we closed early as well. There was an issue with the sink the day of closing and he took care of it without involving us. If I was ever to buy or sell again, I would hire Karriem in a heart beat. He was professional, experienced and knowledgeable who helped us every step of the buying process, including the loan process. In a closing day he gave us a wooden kitchen board with the name of me and my husband. I was overwhelmed to see that. Because he knew we are non-alcoholic so he never offer us alcohol too. Fantastic experience: One of the greatest things to come out of 2020 was owning my own place. Fortunately, I had Karriem in my contacts and was able to work with him to make it happen. I cannot overstate how evident his work ethic was from start to finish. Obviously every situation presents its own set of challenges - I would be confident in Karriem to handle every one of them. Fantastic experience: Prior to working with Karriem, he had been an acquaintance of mine for many years. I reached out to him one day to “pick his brain” about the home buying experience since I had never purchased a home before. I was up front in letting him know that I would not be ready to purchase for about another 9 months, but he still took the time to chat with me about what to expect...an hour of his time to be exact and was extremely detailed in our conversation. Once it came time for my fiancé and I to start looking at homes, I contacted Karriem back. I let him know that we were ready to start looking and that I had already saw some homes online that I was interested in. He responded and said “Let’s go this Saturday! I’ll set up times for us to view all the houses you like.” It was Wednesday when I reached out. And just like that, 3 days later, we were out looking at all the houses that I had sent to him.
