Fantastic experience: I loved the apartment I was in for 4 years while in Clovis. I never had any serious issues and I would recommend Southwest.

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed staying at their Genesis Apartment location in Portales for the year and a half I was there. The management team was great when I needed to move out and always resolved issues when they happened!

Negative experience: Don’t expect your deposit back. I suggest ANYONE ELSE. Best of luck. I should have heeded other reviews. Live and learn.

Negative experience: so, the whole deal is you professionally clean your apartment and they snag over half your security deposit with the charge description being only cleaning.

Negative experience: When you see/hear about those horror stories about horrible people to rent from, they’re about this place. They treat their tenants horribly and there work orders never get fulfilled. Pretty sure we had mold in our rented property as well due to the roof (that we put in work orders for) leaking every time it rained.

Negative experience: Horrible horrible experience altogether. If you see 45 Paseo Village listed to rent DO NOT RENT IT. Lived there for over 2 years and for 1.5 of those years the roof was completely destroyed and leaked buckets full of water every time it rained. The paint bubbled on the walls where it eventually ran down the sides of the living room. AC broke multiple times, washing machine leaks, and had to get our entire faucet replaced during our time there. Getting stuff fixed was pulling teeth. The rental property should be torn down. Absolutely not suitable for people to live in unless completely replaced at this point. I’d give it a lower rating if I could.

Negative experience: Couldn’t even get a response to my application. Called twice. Finally reached a gal, and she was extremely rude and short with me. Won’t ever recommend.

Negative experience: If you are planning on renting from this company make sure you take pictures and notes of everything BEFORE you move your stuff in. (Nail holes in wall, messed up paint, stains on walls/carpet, bugs in corners, broken blinds, loose toilet seats, dirty toilets, broken faucets, cat/dog hair on carpets etc) or they will make sure to charge you for it when you move out. The apartment I moved into was filthy and I figured no big deal I’ll clean it myself. Spent hours scrubbing top to bottom and removing dead roaches, spiders and spiderwebs, blood on toilets and on walls. I left the apartment cleaner than what it was when I moved in. I was charged for things that were messed up already when I moved in but that’s my fault for not taking pictures and notes of everything. I didn’t even bother hanging things up on the walls because the next door neighbor would start banging on the walls anytime we were “too loud”, if you have kids or friends avoid their apartments at all costs. The day I moved in there was a hail storm and 3 of my windows were busted out and the whole year I lived there they didn’t fix them. My kids couldn’t even sleep in their rooms because it was so cold. I had lots of issues and maintenance was there almost every month I lived there. They don’t hire professionals to fix the issues they hire random handymen off of the streets. The lady at the front desk was always nice, Dion is absolutely rude and sadly I’m not the first person to have this type of run in with the company. I would never rent from them again and I know this review means nothing to them but hopefully it will help out someone else from going through the same thing I did!

Fantastic experience: We recently sold a house with Southwest Real Estate. Robin Myers was our initial contact and met with us to look at the house and come up with a value. Paulina Rico was the agent that worked on the deal. They helped us navigate things to do prior to the sale plus worked with us on the price and negotiating offers. They were both a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Southwest Real Estate if you're looking to buy or sell a home.

Fantastic experience: I recently sold a house with the help of Robin and Paulina at Southwest Real Estate. Robin and Paulina help me through the process, answered questions, took care of details and were wonderful during the entire process. Attention to details to help the sale, helpful to see that the property was ready to show, walking me through any and all steps necessary and always willing to explain any and everything I asked questions about. Absolutely wonderful to work with. Got the house sold within two months. Very happy I decided to let them handle my sale. Recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Robin was absolutely fantastic, and found us the perfect home ! Everything was in perfect order and squeaky clean upon move in, and a minor glitch with the hot water was taken care of ASAP... I can't say enough good things about them. Jackie vandenbiggelaar

Negative experience: Southwest manages most of the properties here in Clovis and they stay unoccupied for months they're even dropping the rent on some places but I can see why after I dealt with Robin on someone else behalf and she was rude over talking me not listening I told her to shut her mouth and listen and I also have attempted several times to inquire about properties they have available but they refuse to accept HUD and they are VERY RUDE about saying no it's always I'm not dealing with HUD on any of my properties because HUD has changed alot of rules and Robin sounds like a slumlord update..... so I was informed that my review for this company is the reason why I can't rent here in Clovis sounds like DISCRIMINATION TO ME

Negative experience: This is the worst Realestate Agency. I have ever dealer with. The Staff members Dion and Robin are rude, and will use every excuse to not fix things in the house because the “house is too old” They will also cheat you out of your deposit no matter how kept up or clean you left the apartment or house. Save yourself money and aggravation. Do not rent from this company.

Negative experience: MILITARY BEWARE!!!!! Do not do business with this company or Colonial Real Estate (same owner) if you are looking to rent, sell, buy, or have a property managed. The owner and her son are dishonest and unprofessional. After we signed the lease with Colonial Real Estate and tried to move in, the house was not cleaned and needed quite a few repairs. They entered the house multiple times with the owner and contractors without us present, and without prior notice in violation of state law. Ultimately, it cost us a few thousand dollars to get out of the lease and the owners of the house fired the company for how poorly they managed the situation. I suspect Robin (owner) will respond that these statements are inaccurate, but you can ask the base legal office as they were involved.

Negative experience: I would not rent from this company if you are trying to get your deposit back. Before we moved in our rental was not clean at all had spackle over holes, stains on all of the walls all of the blinds in the house were completely ruined and a lot more stuff we listed that was wrong with the property prior to moving in. Went ahead covered our holes also painted what we did and what was there before moving in and left the house in way better condition than what it was before did everything they asked which was shampoo all carpets ( have proof with pictures etc ) after submitting everything they still came up with charges that coincidentally added up to our whole deposit. I didn’t believe the reviews at first but after everything all of the negative reviews about the deposits are true! Another thing Robin will be very rude to you and dion was very nice before and now is very rude.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Robin at Southwest on getting into our new home and she went above and beyond to help me get into our new home! The company was helpful and quick to answer any and all questions and get the approval and the paperwork to me promptly so I could start the move in process. My opinion is this is a great company to work with on getting into your next home.

Negative experience: Robin (who I heard now owns Colonial Real Estate- so be warned) is absolutely horrible, should not be in any form of customer service whatsoever. Submitted application with stellar credit & references & waited a week. The application was cancelled without even a phone call or notification while we waited to hear. The house has been vacant 3 months. Said we had “too many pets” when we have only 1 small dog, but babysit my moms dogs occasionally so we listed them as visitors. The house allows small dogs. Irregardless, customer should be notified instead of keeping the application fee, canceling application & saying nothing. Greedy, horrible property managers. If you want your houses rented, find another company. Ironically, we will be having about 5 rentals next year & 3 houses for sale, we know who to stay away from….Southwest real estate & Colonial Real estate….

Negative experience: Update : The staff demanded we change the review. Even though they said they have 700 properties and the person to person didn’t mean much. Reviews mean nothing according to them. I still believe You should not rent from them. If at all possible look for somewhere else to live they will charge you way more than a few extra days of looking for somewhere different. They Changed us outrageous amounts and Tried to charge us for damages that was not us. The experience was bad Best of luck, I hope you have a better one.

Negative experience: Stay away from these people! This company will use and abuse you!!! They will try to charge anything and everything to keep your deposit, they expect you to professionally clean the carpet when the carpet isn't even cleaned when u move in. They will not fix your ac they expect you to go and buy the stuff to fix it. They think tenants don't know about their rights and laws, oh they are in for a treat! Robin worst worst customer service ever!! Goes to tell you anyone can be a "manager"! I would put 0 stars unfortunately it's not an Option!

Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to have found a beautiful little apartment through Southwest Real Estate! They worked really well with me being out of country and moving into Clovis. Answered all my million questions with delight and with quality input before and after I moved in. Nothing was hidden from me so I truly knew what I was moving into before I even got there. Great communication skills from all ends and they are very great at making sure i’m all taken care of! I highly, highly recommend renting/buying from them!!!

Negative experience: DO NOT RENT from this place. I’ve rented with them for about 8 months, when I put in my application, the apartment was listed at 850, as soon as they found out I was military they up charged me claiming “2 people had been looking at the place so if I wanted it I’d have to pay extra” I have since then found roaches and they refuse to come out and take care of the problem and told me I need to take care of it. My ac was out for about a month before someone finally came out and fixed it. I’ve told them multiple times I didn’t want the maintenance guys in my house without me there but I left my door unlocked, so one of them saw themselves in when I asked him to leave the parts for my fridge out by the door( I found it on my living room couch)

Negative experience: This real estate company does not check your credit score correctly, and it does not take into consideration when checking your background how long it's been since your last criminal charge, and DOES NOT give you the information back accurately and efficiently! Avoid the 30 something dollar charge for them to run it if you have had any major run-ins with the law in the past 20 years. Wish the owner of the company would call me. But we'll see if that happens...

Fantastic experience: They do a wonderful job managing a property for me. Excellent record keeping.

Negative experience: Our dog ripped a small patch of carpet and they charged us $800 and said they had to replace the entire master bedroom carpet because of it. The carpet that existed was already old, stained, and stinky. Now the manager, Robin, is not responding to my emails. Its unfortunate that they manage so many properties in Clovis and take advantage of military members.

Fantastic experience: I looked for a very long time trying to find the right property to move my family into. I had just about given up and somebody referred me. It was only a matter of days before they found the right property for us. We moved in and finally feel as if we have a home. They really care about us and I'm very happy with everything about deciding to go with Southwest real estate. I only wish there were more stars to give them!

Negative experience: Bad experience. I was looking to move from Albuquerque and got approved for a rental with them. While doing a walk through, it looked like they barely cleaned the place and I seen dead bugs. I proceeded to pull out the fridge and oven and it was filthy underneath not to mention even the sides of them. The walls were dirty as well. I asked the lady up front when I returned with the keys if they would get the house cleaned better I would still be interested and she said she would have to “see if I can get someone to go see” as if it was such an inconvenience and that I was lying. She said she would call me back and never did. I will not recommend this place.

Negative experience: Southwest has absolutely zero customer service skills. Property management companies aren’t great in Clovis, but definitely stay away from Southwest. The house was filthy when we moved in. Trying to get a maintenance order was always like pulling teeth with them. They have absolutely zero common sense and are there just to take as much money from you as possible. Every time you talked to them they acted like it was a burden and an inconvenience that you called.

Fantastic experience: Tried different property managers prior to being directed to SW Real Estate. Before they rent your property they run a credit check on potential renters, collect the rent, and take care of any & all problems associated with owning rental properties. They're absolutely the BEST.

Fantastic experience: They all go above and beyond for you! Debbie and Robin were amazing with helping us get approved and staying on top of things! Jesse Martin is a outstanding realtor! He keeps in contact with you letting you know all the details that are going on behind the scenes he will make sure you find the home of your dreams! Communication is key and they definitely earned my 5 stars!!

Negative experience: This company will use, abuse, and bamboozle you. I paid more for pet deposits that I ever did in Dallas TX. DALLAS. I never called for repairs, I did my own, I polished the floors, cleaned with dottera (expensive) cleaners, and when I moved, I made the house better than when I arrived. I was taught to have manners. I was lied to, to my face regarding my deposit money, and then spoken to like absolute trash. This company has 0 class, there are plenty of other people in town to use, and I pray you will. For you.

Fantastic experience: Robin and her team did an amazing job working with us to buy our first home! We had wanted to purchase a FHA repo which requires a large amount of paper work and documentation. We got them all the info they needed and the team made it happen! I cannot say how pleased my wife and I are with Southwest! Thank you so much!!
