Negative experience: This is the absolute worst company ever to rent from, they prey on people who need to get into a home fast, they don't have a single property that doesn't need work wether it's visible or covered up, they ignore maintenance calls. They ignored the black mold problem in our home and they forced us from the home on false pretenses when the city finally stepped in like it was our fault they rented us a unsafe home, not to mention how rude the office workers are DO NOT RENT FROM THEM no matter how desperate you might be. I would rather be homeless then have to deal with them again

Negative experience: People in the property management office is very rude, do not follow up with you when they say they are, they have maintenance guys that seem like they’re not certified techs, my HVAC unit been working off and on for a year now, they won’t replace it, they just keep fixing it and it stops working. When you’re on the highest level and heat rises , it’s not fun, it’s very hot. They’ve been written up supposedly by code and compliance and still have not done their job. only thing about this place i like is where it’s located and what surrounds the area.

Negative experience: I am an out of state property owner and if I could give this company a zero I would. I spent $7k renovating a rental that was then allowed to fall further into disrepair-they do not manage properties they watch them and they collect rent with a weird record keeping system. There was always some extra fee. However, when it mattered-grass cutting and pests they were MIA. DO NOT LET THEM MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I’m amazed they are still in business.

Negative experience: I looked up Mercury Property Management after several of their team members were less than professional and ethical when handling a potential renter. I see so many dissatisfied customers in these reviews; so their recent behavior and seemingly lack of integrity seem par for the course.

Negative experience: The worst property management company in the 757. I rented from them years ago and I have to pay them off. I been calling all week long and then when I talk to multiple ppl they don’t know what they doing. They act like they real busy. No they just not getting there work done. They are rude. And yes I was rude because I’m trying to take care business. Even back then when I rented from them they were horrible. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

Negative experience: Do not waste your time with this company. If I could give negative 5 stars I would first of all some of the girls who work in the office are rude and second and they’re terrible at getting things fixed in a timely fashion. I’ve had an ongoing maintenance issue and in my opinion these are unacceptable living conditions so I have a toilet that doesn’t work it backs up into one of the bathtubs and I have water leaking in my kitchen they came out cut a hole in my ceiling and then left. Supposedly came back another day but I never heard a knock on the door meanwhile I have dirty toilet water leaking in my kitchen and it’s only getting worse and I can’t get anybody else to fix it. And the best part is when I signed my lease I paid all of my rent for the The year so I don’t even have the option to put my rent escrow until these repairs are made ** Update. ** So I refrigerator hasn’t been working properly for over a month. I’ve called at least once a week someone came out and said I needed a part to fix it so they would be back no one ever came back to replace the part in the meantime the temperature in my refrigerator fluctuates which is a great way to get food poisoning by the way so over the last month and a half we’ve had to throw out so much food we had to go buy a mini fridge just to keep some food in the house I’m six months pregnant with a complicated high risk pregnancy I can’t work so we’re only down to just my husbands income and they want to tell me it’s my responsibility to repair or replace the refrigerator I’m excuse me that is a homeowners responsibility I am a renter. Negative experience: I want to highly suggest if your looking for a reliable company to meet your rental needs Mercury Property Management is the “Go to” business to call! Great staff and they are always available and reasonable rentals!!!! Five years ago I wrote this and five years later, I will redact what I initially wrote! Mercury Property Management; entity is great! On the exception of Rachel ; she was the worst and lack customer service skills as receptionist! However, make sure you DO NOT RENT FROM CURRITHERS REALTY! His properties are managed by Mercury Management and he is a slum lord. I rented a place from him and this fool had the audacity to charge me for blinds that I put in the house because the house had none when I moved into the house!! And that’s just .5 of the issues I had with the slum lord and his managers. Ask who the property slings to before signing your credit life to him!!!!!

Negative experience: When having supported court documents and a permanent restraining order it should never be a problem to remove someone from the lease for me and my kids safety. It was a disgusting hassle to go through and no one at this company cared it was very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Mercury Property Management is absolutely phenomenal. They were honest and transparent during my application and decision process. They were supportive to my situation and that meant a lot to me, especially when I needed it most. My home is worth the value and I am excited to help make it special. I look forward to the rest of my business relationship with the team and I would recommend to give them a try! My advice is just to make sure you have your personal affairs handlers and finances ready to ensure a smooth as process as mine. I am forever grateful for Mercury property management!

Negative experience: They collected rent and made deposits to my account so I can't give them one star. However, they lack attention to detail in their record keeping (incorrect SSN and address on 1099 multiple times), and they don't give enough detail when maintenance is performed. The maintenance they did perform was sub-par and they failed to address issues I made them aware of when I hired them. I let them go, and I'm back to self-managing until I find a better company.

Negative experience: They will take your application fee and request a deposit for a property that they have approved you for but I almost guarantee a city inspector will condem some of these places. 1122 37th street, approved, approved for that. Floors are rooting and no fridge. Ask to be approved for something else they will say nothing else is available except something thay is out of your budget and they have very few. They are apart of the housing crisis and city inspectors need to take a real close look at them.

Negative experience: DO NOT RENT WITH THESE PEOPLE They will take as many people application money as they can !! Knowing they have already rented the property.. I’ve been calling about the same property for 3 months and all they can tell me is check back next week .. making me feel they will rent with me .. They are rude and careless . They have no heart to help people find homes .. Save yourself the trouble . The properties are not maintenances well and after dealing with them 3 months I can only imagine what renting from them would be like

Negative experience: Took my deposit for superfluous $5000 in damages. $100 lawn not mowed (It was Feb), $200 for leaving mirror on wall (it’s double sided tape on a $10 mirror), etc. I was leaving for Afghanistan and did a walk thru. I had 7 days left on the lease to fix things, but they didn’t say anything. It turns out that they sold the house after it’s been rented for over a decade. Selling condition is different than a move out inspection condition. I got that house in poor shape and they renovated it, kept my deposit, and threaten me to go to court. Take pics, get everything in writing, get the “the owners” full info, prepare to go to court. They’re lucky I was out of the country. Property Manager’s clients are their uncles, cousins, and in-laws. They will always side with the owner (family) and you’ll never see your deposit.

Negative experience: The actual renting manager in the office was nice and helpful but the lady who usually answers the phone is the rudest person ive ever spoken to. She lied to us and then the rental manager called and told us what she said was a lie. We couldnt get a straight answer from anyone and We waited for weeks patiently and desperatly needed somewhere to stay and they denied us. Granted, they arent required to give us a reason but im almost positive its because we called every few days trying to get an answer and they were irritated. There were 3 of us who called every so ofteb just for upfates and shed always say " i just told the other person 3 days ago" with an attitude. There was only 1 property that was even remotley appropriate and the others were lied about in description. Please go somewhere else. Its not worth the time here.

Positive experience: Need things repaired, best just renter no results. Trees need trimming and topping. Before limb fall on house, two cars have had limbs fall on two cars, and cause damage. Stove need to be replaces. July l have been here 15 years. Repairs are needed, not getting good service.

Negative experience: The office staff is very unprofessional, they lie to you, don't follow up with calls, the workers that they have for maintenance are jack legs and don't know how to repair anything. The house that they have advertised for rent at 1211 77th St. Newport News, VA. is fraudulent. That house belongs to my uncle Mr. Reggie on the opposite side of the street. I would strongly recommend not renting from them. They need to learn how to humble themselves.

Negative experience: I urge everyone not to rent from these slumlords. They will do everything possible to do the wrong thing and get away with it. I honestly think they get off on screwing people over. I know many people who have rented or worked for them and all of them have horror stories of being grossly mistreated by Irene, or Ivy, Iris, whatever her name is and her husband Mike. Terrible terrible people.

Negative experience: I would never rent from them again. They can not fix anything in the house. It will take weeks/months to get anything fixed. They will lie and tell you someone will come out and I had to take a day off of work thinking someone was going to come and never came or even call and say they will not be able to make it. Dishwasher broke still haven’t fixed it, broken window cracked before moving in almost 2 years ago, refrigerator not getting cold like it supposed to and had to throw away all the food and got a mini fridge to at least keep milk for 3 of my kids and myself that is 8 months pregnant. I barely can save any food because there was no place to store so I went out a bought my own refrigerator so I can have enough food to buy for my family. They DO NOT care about there tenants at all as long as they getting paid that is all they care about. NO FAMILY SHOULD GO THROUGH THE BS THEY WILL PUT YOU THROUGH. I would never recommend this Property Management to ANYONE!!!! They DO NOT deserve a star

Negative experience: Personnel are not always up to date on who has paid rent and who hasn't and sending receipts for the wrong renter to the wrong address if they send one at all!! Maintenance is "ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE" in responding to work orders and once they do it takes at least a month for them to complete them!!!! There is "NO" afterwork hours emergency number.

Negative experience: DO NOT lease with Mercury Property management. VERY unsatisfactory maintenance. My AC has been broken for 3 months and they've known about it. The bathtub won't drain, they've known about it. They are negligent, and all they care about is getting money out of your pocket. Save your money, save your energy, and save your time! DON'T sign a lease with these people!

Negative experience: The level of unprofessionalism is out of this world. They do not like doing any repairs. You can call as kind as possible but still get the run around when it comes to repairs! They need to make a - star rating option! I have been calling since February about plumbing and other issues. No one has come out yet! Customer service is very rude!

Negative experience: Currently a resident through this company and they are TERRIBLE! Took them 3 weeks to replace a simple fuse, which made us unable to use our dryer. I had to call numerous times, with no call back or response. When I needed a lock changed they asked me to do it myself, told me they would reimburse me for the part, and of course they did not. And now our sink is leaking, because they did not seal it the right way in the first place. I'm not even going to bother calling in a maintenance request because I'm sure it'll take weeks for them to actually do something about it, and when they do finally come and "fix" it, it'll be just as shotty as it was to begin with. Save yourself time and energy and avoid these people. I can't wait until my lease is up (only to be hit with bogus fees and not get my deposit back I'm sure)

Negative experience: Same thing everyone else has said - rude office staff, lying maintenance people, a house with a sewage issue that they refuse to fix. We've called the city out to verify its the homeowners problem and they refuse to fix it. If you can rent from ANYONE else do it, but they own over 300 properties in the area unfortunately Update: Its been a year and I still have the same sewage issues, have to call the office multiple times just for them to send someone out for a recurring issue. Wish I could afford to move :\

Negative experience: I would give minus one star if I could. My main complaint is with Jessica, who was the person I was doing business with. She has the absolute most rude attitude of anyone who has ever done business with. All it takes is a phone call and instantly her day is ruined. Negative experience: If you're looking for somewhere nice to stay I would not Recommend this Company they are very Unprofessional in the Office generally the Female Secretaries I usually ask to speak to Mike Murphy when I walk in so I can skip all Rudeness and Unprofessionalism. Mike Murphy is the so-called Millionaire of the Business from what I hear. Prior to me and my family moving in they agreed to fixing the things in the house that were supposed to be fixed before we moved in an nothing got done. In the lease agreement they're supposed to do a monthly maintenance check which they don't go to the houses and do! Now the Maintenance guys they always have a different story when it comes to communication in the office with the Secretaries, everybody acts like they don't know what's going on they pretend to be stupid following Scheduled Maintenance Work. And when they come out to do your work they don't finish the job. They do a little bit of work and then come back a few days later.. Now just a little bit of info on how the house was when we moved in. Yes we were given a checklist, but you're not going to be able to tell every little single thing in one day. Problems came to the light more once we got moved in I mean don't get me wrong we checked off what we saw. We had Busted Pipes up underneath the house, the water couldn't be turned on by the Water people and Propane Gas man couldn't do his job either when he came out, Mold in the house, Unprotected wall outlets without faceplates Broken windows, Live wires hanging, 1 coat of primer was painted on the walls, no gloss. Far as Maintenance goes Don is the supervisor but be careful because this guy takes his pain out on the The tenant's, tenant's belongings. Yes my vehicle was vandalized by this person while he was working at the residence. Only because we stayed on the office people about the Maintenance work that had already supposed to be done, but it's ok karma will take care of it's self. We have Written a letter to the office about these Maintenance issues but we got the same results as if we hadn't written a letter. If somebody gave them 5 stars it's because of the people who stay in they're Nicer homes! I hope my confession helps somebody in some way form or fashion thanks for listening.

Negative experience: I have worked with property major management companies before in the Myrtle Beach SC area and believe me THIS IS NOT A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY you want to do business with. My wife and I rented a house @ $1400.00 per month from this company. The office staff will Lie to you face. They will not fix problems. Our electric bill was $400.00 per month. We complained about the problem nothing was done. I called out heating and cooling company to find out what was wrong the vents were leaking air. Big gaps at the air handler. Rusted vent in the kitchen on the floor that was blowing air under the house and letting hot air in to the house. Broken window in the upstairs bathroom was told it would be fixed several times it was never taken care of. I recordings with every person I dealt with in that office. I even have them stating the reasons why nothing was fixed is because the homeowner did not want to spend the money. So Please take my advice stay far away from this company!

Negative experience: This company is very unprofessional. I have been renting from them since 12/15. I have never caused problems and tried to be a good tenant. On 3/20/18 the ceiling fail in the bedroom and their staff took over a month to fix the ceiling. Now after no concern for me and my health, I am being treated as though I caused the ceiling to fall. They are calling with threats and lies from their employees. Their office staff is rude, and the maintenance staff report lies. I advise anyone that want to lease from them to think twice.

Negative experience: My experience with Mercury Property Management has been horrible. They do not fix anything!!! It has taken months to get my toilet and refrigerator fixed. Jessica, was very rude to me on several occasions. She has even pressured me to vacate the premises. I love my townhouse. However, renting from these people has been a huge hassle. When I informed the manager of how I was treated by Jessica, nothing changed. I pay my rent on time, and I am a great tenant. I do not appreciate the way that I have been treated. If you are thinking about leasing from these people, you may wanna look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Whoever the owners are for the 411 Savage Dr townhouse is I would STRONGLY suggest you find another company to represent/run your property. Jessica is the RUDEST person. I called to inquire about the property, she tells me the qualifications with one being to view the property I tell her I don’t really need to view it as I have friends with similar unit and I am familiar with it. She cuts me off with an attitude and says that it’s manadatory and I said you don’t have to cut me off and get an attitude and she screams as loud as she could goodbye and hangs up in my face. What kind of customer service is that??? Jessica is not a good look for the company and I will be sure to tell everybody I know not to use this company for any of their housing needs.

Negative experience: I cannot complain about the rent price I pay nor the fact they are very decent w their pet deposits and allowing multiple pets. But they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to maintenance and they also did not fix anything they said would be fixed before I moved in. Plus there was a window unit left in the house and when we got keys to move in it was gone.

Negative experience: If we could give them less than 1 star we would. Never and I mean never rent from them. We have had to call codes and compliances 3 time. There is a mold patch upstairs the size of a truck tire and when in rains it rains inside the house. Our refridge has completely stop working and has been malfunctioning for the past year. I can go on and on and on. They take advantage of people. Do not do it.

Negative experience: I lived at one of their not so managed 2 bdrm house on WestWood ave Hampton,VA. place had mold got me real sick I moved out an now 3 1/2 years later they put an eviction on my record. These people has serious issues

Negative experience: I walked house wanted to rent, complete application paid 20 app fee wrote street address on application. I called to follow up since I never received a call, was told by Kalley they rented unit...so disappointed. I saw another house, walked it missing A/C unit, Windows broke spoke with Mike he say they would fix no garantee before I sign contract. I was told by office staff A/C come with unit, Mike said A/C don't come with unit. Very Unprofessional, Mike disrespectful and information about the house is different from everyone working inside. Office staff send a runner to allow you to view units and they don't know squat about the units and have no idea what condition the units are in. If it feels shaky don't do it. Total makeover needed.

Negative experience: Mike the agent insinuated to my Wife that we would not take care of a property we were looking at renting. I now know why he is it's not a real estate agent, he would starve to death if he insulted all of his perspective customers.
