Fantastic experience: Had such a great experience working with Yvonne! She was incredibly communicative, patient, and reassuring throughout the entire process of helping my mom and me find a new place. From the beginning, she really listened to what we needed and made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. We ended up finding a home that is so great and spacious. It’s clean, the energy feels right, the area is wonderful, and even the neighbors are great. On top of that, the building manager is responsive, which made everything even smoother. Yvonne truly goes above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for all her help. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a home!

The communication is always fast and professional, and any questions or maintenance concerns are handled quickly. They’ve been supportive and easy to work with from day one, which makes running my business a lot smoother. I’m grateful for their reliability and the way they take care of their properties. Negative experience: They have really unprofessional tours and make it so that there’s competition with other people applying. The lady who was touring showed up late. They never answer any calls or emails and reply days later.

Negative experience: I had set up a tour for a unit I liked with Yvonne and that went smoothly, except that there was another applicant touring at the same time which I wasn’t aware of beforehand. However, after that it was impossible to apply as nobody at the leasing office would pick up the phone or answer any emails. Yvonne did not answer any of my calls or emails either. I then found out shortly after that the unit was no longer available and still I got no responses from anybody when I tried to reach out to see if they had any other units. In the end I lost my chance only because another applicant was being paid attention to and I was being completely ignored.

Positive experience: Location Oak Ave Evanston. Pros: utilities included, they respond within a timely manner for repairs both your apt, and inside the building, conveniently located within walking distance to downtown Evanston, public transportation. Cons:they are cheap regarding heat during the famous Chicago winter. From September 15 to June 1, rental building owners must maintain a minimum room temperature of 68°F. This applies to all habitable rooms, bathrooms, and toilet rooms. However, Wesley Realty are in violations regarding keeping the temperature of 68°F it's constantly 60•F or less according to the laser temp gun i had purchased. Especially while you are trying to relax in the evening and sleeping. I had to purchase 2 spece heaters one for the living room and bedroom area. They are quick making excuses. It's the windows not completely close or they are replacing boiler parts instead of replacing the boiler. water pipes and radiator pipes has broken. The two elevators are constantly breaking down and taking up to 3 hours getting the elevators working again. The hall floors are constantly filthy and you have to call forcing them to shoveling the sidewalk and front door entrance..Summary. on a fixed budget that includes all utilities and convenient walking to downtown Evanston, Metro and Purple Station and both Pace and CTA busses. This location would be perfect for you. Majority of the rentals are Northwestern University students.

Negative experience: The building on Laporte has a infestation of rats and mice the building maintenance man came out and put 3 traps in my apartment and nothing still has not been caught I would not recommend living at that specific location I’m terrified to go home and sleep the rats are all in the walls and in the bathroom drains trying to bite they way in it’s literally so disgusting and disturbing that these ppl have not even released me from there lease yet and the apartment is for rent already and they haven’t even paid to get a exterminator don’t RENT OUT APARTMENT C1 in the basement I promise you they have a rat INFESTATION I have so much proof the rats look like big possums

Positive experience: Oakcrest building on Oak Avenue is 90 yrs old. The pros are location walking distances to food train shopping post office and downtown. The cons is building can be dirty in common areas and mail is often stolen and plumbing issues can be a problem

Fantastic experience: I have started my fourth-year contract with Wesley Realty Group. It has been a very good experience so far. Wesley's founder and owner, Al, is very understanding about my financial situation and increases the rate by only a reasonable amount.

Negative experience: It wasn't open

Negative experience: Unprofessional, doesn’t update tenants when work is being done, and takes forever for maintenance to come.

Negative experience: This is for the 4045 building on Laporte. VERY poor communication. Package theft is common. I've tried calling the number in the picture below several times and no one ever answers or calls me back. They take forever to respond to maintenance requests (and act like they've never heard from you). This place is fine if you're living on a budget, but be advised that you'll receive very poor service and your packages are fair game for anyone who wants to steal them.

Negative experience: The years I lived there were the worst, I moved in with the apartment dirty, had to clean it myself. then the apartment would get flooded everyday and they claim within a whole year they couldn't get the jobs done, my apartment would get full of mold and I have children this is unacceptable. They need an owner who will hire professionals not people who don't know how to their job. Worst experience ever would never recommend someone here.they should be reported for the living conditions they force thier tenants to live in. Don't Rent Here!

Positive experience: We've rented a unit on Eastlake Terrace in Rogers Park since 2018 and have been here ever since. The original maintenance person was not the best but thankfully they replaced him with Fuad and he's been a delight to work with. He's responsive, gets things fixed quickly and keeps you updated. We pay what I would consider at-market rent for the area. Could the kitchen and bathroom be more updated? Yes, but then it would also lose the vintage charm. I've never experienced any real issues with this place, have always found them responsive and willing to work with us.

Fantastic experience: I rented from Wesley from 2013-2015 and found the apartment, service, and company to be excellent throughout. I decided to post this now, because looking for a new apartment in another state I was curious as how people have reviewed the rental company that I had a great experience with.

Negative experience: Wesley Realty Group is a rip off. They are hard to get in contact with, they never return our phone calls. We dropped off our rent at their office and they claimed that they never recieved it. Do not rent from these people. Total rip offs.

Positive experience: The office is temporarily remote due to Covid

Fantastic experience: I've rented from Wesley Realty for a little over a year now. They've always responded quickly to any of my questions and maintenance requests. Everyone I've interacted with has been very friendly and helpful. I feel very lucky to have found a decent 2bd apartment with parking, heat, storage and laundry in a nice part of Evanston for very reasonable rent. In my opinion, Wesley Realty is an excellent organization that makes nice apartments in nice neighborhoods more affordable, they don't cut corners and have provided me with great customer service time and time again.

Fantastic experience: I really enjoyed my time at the Seeley building managed by Wesley Realty. Soon after I moved in a gentleman named Charlie took over the maintenance team and ever since it’s been a clean and well managed building. My (very few) maintenance requests were handled quickly and professionally. My unit was good quality and a great price for such a trendy and upcoming neighborhood. I lived there for 3 years and had no major issues. The other maintenance team members were also very nice and kept up with the halls and landscaping. I appreciated smelling the nice fresh cleaner every week when they cleaned the halls. Laundry room was always clean and the grounds were always clean and well kept. The Wesley realty office were always nice and helpful especially after Covid. They helped me get my place from a different state and without even being able to look at it in person. I was pleasantly surprised when I moved in and I appreciated the guidance from Ivonne in the main office. Our building also had a great collection of neighbors too. Really no issues while living there, I am very grateful. Good property, great team, I would recommend to anyone moving to Chicago.

Fantastic experience: I rented an apartment from Wesley Realty in Wrigleyville for 5 years and only moved out because I wanted an updated kitchen and in-unit laundry. I think the rent was very reasonable for the area, never had an issue with the heat not working and always had pleasant interactions with Yvonne, Al, Sarah and Adis. Adis is the building engineer and was always responsive to my maintenance requests and even helped me change lightbulbs I couldn’t reach. I would definitely rent from them again, and the Janssen building is in a great location.

Negative experience: I read through these reviews before I moved into my apt managed by Wesley Realty, and I thought “oh it won’t be so bad.” I rented from them and had to do business with them for a year. This is an informed 1 star rating. Just like everyone else said they are non responsive, unprofessional, untrustworthy, and overall risky to do business with. You’ve been warned.

Negative experience: Paid $75 to apply for an apartment and didn’t get it because the other applicant apparently had a stronger application. The fee is non refundable and that was not disclosed ahead of time. She mentioned there was another application in but did not say they would be choosing which one they liked more. Applications should be run on a first come first qualified basis otherwise how do you know they aren’t discriminating against people? When we asked if there were other apartments available we were told no so it was a complete waste of money. Horrible customer service and wildly inappropriate application process of collecting non refundable fees and pitting applicants against each other

Fantastic experience: Good secretary and digital support

Fantastic experience: I stayed with them for over three years and it has been such a nice experience. As a NU scholar, I loved the accessibility to campus and relatively lower rent of their apartment. Had very few occasions when I had to place any maintenance requests, and they were prompt to respond positively to all the requests. It feels strange to move after staying in for so long!

Negative experience: ***DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY! *** This is the absolute worst property management company ever! If I could give 5th them no stars I would because that's really what they deserve. We lived in our apartment for 6 months and our lease was supposed to be for 1 year. We never had properly working heat, even during the polar vortex in Chicago. We had leaks in every bathroom and the kitchen and the apartment above ours leaked into our apartment often and even leaked through a light fixture in the bathroom, and the kitchen. A pipe bursted in our bathroom one Thursday, and was not fixed until Tuesday. Another pipe bursted one day when we were not home and the maintenance man busted a hole in a wall to fix it, did a quick fix and never came back to fix the hole in the wall causing cold air to filter into our already heatless apartment. Also a part of our kitchen floor was caving in and was never fixed and we pointed this out from day one. We didn't have a refrigerator for the first few days we were there and the dishwasher would fill up with old dirty smelly water and flood the kitchen often even when it was turned off and not in use. If you live on the south side of Chicago, or any urban community in Illinois, DO NOT RENT FROM WESLEY REALTY GROUP! THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS WITH APARTMENTS THAT LOOK BEAUTIFUL BUT ARE FALLING APART FROM THE INSIDE OUT, AND THEY WILL NEVER MAKE ANYTHING A PRIORITY AND FIX IT.

Negative experience: Bad apartment conditions. Never told about all the inside problems, but there are plenty of them! Worst experience!

Negative experience: I reached out to the Agent Yvonne. She was kind enough to reach out within minutes to set up an appointment for the next day. We have agreed to the time BUT she did not give a notice whether she was going to be late or not show up. It was a waste of our time and it was very unprofessional on her behalf to not let us know the time of arrival or a cancellation of the appointment. I am giving 1 star as an effort for trying to make an appointment. In the near future include the phone number to reach you personally. It will give the client a way to reach out.

Fantastic experience: Best property management I've dealt with. Fast and efficient completions of maintenance requests, responsive when questions are emailed, extremely nice people, and great customer service.

Fantastic experience: Christopher you should be more respectful with people without discrimination by race, it is clear that you present a problem of racism, really that gives me so much pity that your parents have not been able to give you a good education. I want you and everyone who blames the engineers of the maintenance know that behind them there is someone else who is responsible for approved if they just touch up or rumban the wall and put a new one, also remember that the owners have the last word, so reserve your comment if you were to point to a person. p.s if you do not think you're in the right place, put yourself to work hard and stop living in the system, rent your own apartment or buy your own house that that apartment is paid by all of us who pay our taxes including that Mexican. **I'M NOT WORKING FOR THEM I JUST GIVING MY OPINION AS ALL OF YOU**

Negative experience: Horrible Section 8 buildings rent is too high due to building engineer does nothing dirty Mexican named "Lou" I would recommend that you not moved into any of their buildings p.s. the places are all covered in mold and They only painted over it

Negative experience: Careful just make sure you check the place before renting. Also make sure you get in writing everything they say or any side deals even from their attorney.

Negative experience: This is specifically about their condo division. One of their sewer vendors (VanDer Bosch) said we needed $6,500 worth of work under my unit, which would need to be ripped up to get to the pipe. I pushed for a 2nd opinion independent of Wesley -- as it turns out, the pipe in question is no longer in use and work wasn't necessary. Nicolas Marin, Wesley Realty group's contact for our association was amazingly horrid to work with. Despite receiving info from the first vendor that would indicate work needed to be done in October, he didn't contact me about the repairs 'till January. He was then completely unresponsive to my emails regarding questions about the work. When things seemed fishy to me and I pushed for a 2nd opinion, he was particularly feisty against this telling me I would need to spend my own money for a 3rd opinion and that I HAD to go through one of their vendors for a 2nd. The condo board of course over road this ridiculous demand. LESSON LEARNED -- always get a 2nd opinion independent from a condo association, that way you know it's totally unbiased...
