Even with the recent changes in the market, we closed with a truly impressive deal on our recent home sale. I think the way we achieved this was how Nick and team marketed the property (which we didn't see anyone else doing as we searched for houses in another market): - We had a full home inspection done before listing, which allowed us to get ahead of any issues and was provided with the listing. This allowed buyers to make an informed offer from the start - Our home would benefit from a bathroom and kitchen remodel - Nick had a trusted contractor provide a quote for each as well as renderings. The renderings were printed and available at showings and when requested, we could tell buyers approx how much it would cost to update - Nick had in-house design services that helped us stage our home with what we already had Nick and Renee also handled inevitable challenges with grace and are just generally good people who are a pleasure to work with. Experiencia negativa: We saw the plethora of great reviews from out of state home buyers on Google, and decided to move forward with Nick as our realtor. He knew the dates we were flying in and our amount of time on the ground to see properties. I crafted a list of homes to see our first day on the ground, explaining the high priority ones. We didn’t manage to see all the homes on day one. Nick gave us a very generous 3 hours of his time…and then called us before the last two houses to see which was a higher priority, before letting us know we were out of time for the day. When I reached out with houses to put on the agenda for the next day, and asking if we could start seeing them from 11 AM on….Nick couldn’t make time for second day of showings. C’est La vie. We were ready to move on offers quickly, pre-approved with his preferred lender, and eager out of town buyers. Essentially a walking commission check. We fired Nick after losing a day of seeing homes, went with a different local realtor that has been in Western NC for 17 years….and had the best homebuying experience. We closed on our dream home last month, for $465k. Wouldn’t recommend

Nick actually led us on a Facetime (virtual) tour of the house we eventually purchased so he was literally our eyes and ears on the ground. When he told us the house was a "10" in terms of all the things we were looking for, we made an offer and then flew to Asheville to see it. We had a 2.5 acre parcel we wished to sell in Weaverville, NC and Nick turned out to be the right person indeed! His knowledge of the area was thorough and timely. After our initial telephone conversation he did a thorough background study so I didn't need to tell him all that much about it. He toured the property and then used his knowledge to establish a reasonable price point which would make a buyer stop to read about the property and check it out.
