Experiencia negativa: Update: Had hoped to have upped this to at least a 4 star because we truly love to support our own. - THE GOOD: Closing went smooth and everyone was really nice. Kim was nice and helped us get the home cleaned before moving in. The Attorney Brittany Manuel was a breath of fresh air, we loved her and Mrs. Viola is a stunning beautiful lady. There was a nice welcome rug left at the front door of our new home. - THE BAD: My original review placed blame on the first Agent over this house but we learned it wasn’t entirely her fault. The seller was the most difficult person we’ve ever worked with in our entire history of home purchases. We eventually learned that the seller has ties and shares the same last name with someone who works for this agency. It wasn’t disclosed but it should have made this experience better not worse. Hence the bad review. - The UGLY: 2 months in and we’ve already paid $5k in unexpected repairs. Wow! All new homes will have issues come up and that’s obvious so we don’t blame the seller and agency for all of it. The issue is, the seller was supposed to replace damaged warted wood around a doorway before our walkthrough. However, after moving in, we noticed he painted over the damage instead of replacing the wood per agreement in contract. Due to this, we are quite skeptical about other repairs that were requested and agreed upon that were likely not honored per the contract. For example, we have had problems with three things that he was supposed to get serviced and fixed, that would have required a professional, that he never provided proof of repair on and stated it was completed under the builders warranty; a warranty that we eventually learned hasn’t existed for a couple of years now via the builder. That being said, we provided proof/receipts to our home buyers to prove we are ethical people and we believe in doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. We had considered court which would be a first for us, but trying to get $600 back in repairs because he failed to fulfill his portion of the agreement isn’t worth the court cost and headache. Therefore, we will put it in God’s hands.
