Stop, I mean it. Charles and his team come packed with experience that nobody else can replicate. I guarantee you'll never find anything that compares. I can get into specifics but I won't, just know that if you use anyone else you'll be sorry.

Experiencia negativa: The line of questioning in the application does carry a weight of bias and profiling. I observed it while applying! For example, the questionnaire asks if will you have the money within 2 hours of approval. This alone weeds out many people OR it forces an applicant to pull out money before submitting the application which is still an inconvenience ESPECIALLY if you are NOT approved. We were approved and of course he wanted the money within 2 hours. We were also on east coast time since we live in CT and he just assumed we had a lot of money sitting around. Since the application also stated it would take up to 14 days for approval we did not prepare to pull out money in advance. I have unfortunately had many negative experiences with realtors from our buying and selling of our properties to renting properties from them. It is very difficult within the current housing infrastructure for realtors to have integrity. In my observation, they fuel the challenges of obtaining a home. It's like being a "good' cop while policing people. It's hard. It is difficult to believe some of the reviews here with the experience my husband and I had. We told Mr. Lassey what our parameters were, he agreed, but when the time came he ghosted us. We're still waiting for communication. So, I'm truly surprised to see the positive reviews. HOWEVER, as one continues to scroll, there are others who share a similar story.

Experiencia negativa: They asked me to pay to TOUR a property. This wasn't an application fee or anything like that. ACL wanted a non-refundable fee just to schedule a self guided tour. Totally exploitative and adding unnecessary junk fees to an already expensive rental process.

Experiencia negativa: Looks like they are associated with Rently. Basically they want the commission from Rently more than the commission as a real rate Angent to help with landlord to lease their houses out. No real people can help even you show out in front their door.

Experiencia fantástica: After working with Charles for 10 years now, I can confidently say I have never met a more engaged and a more ethical property manager than Charles Lassey. With Charles, I never had to worry about a single thing. All issues from tenants were taken care of promptly including finding the right kind of tenants in a rapid manner. What sets Charles apart is that he doesn't just do what is bare minimum for the job. He goes above and beyond - like finding the most affordable but reliable handy men, vetting the renters properly and thoroughly, suggesting when making certain repairs could lead to asymmetric rent increases (this was big for me!), coordinating and taking care of everything between repairs and complaints with just the right amount of communication with me without overwhelming me, upkeep between tenants, etc. I will be engaging Charles again next year if I end up buying another property. I have also referred several of my friends to Charles some of who went on to engage him and are sincerely happy with him. Great job, Charles!

Experiencia negativa: Impossible to obtain info on properties. Just get routed to a call center over and over and they do not return your call. Eventually gave up and looked at other properties. Could not even get basic questions answered or a call back from a property manager after multiple attempts as an interested renter. Update: company has now contacted me directly at my PERSONAL email address asking me to REMOVE my review. Don’t trust any of the other reviews of them online.

The property is well kept, professionally cleaned and move in ready unlike other places we’ve rented previously. The process when first renting the home was a breeze and quick! I'm in an condo building where there aren't many renters so it sometimes feels like I don't have a voice but Charles ensures that whatever issues I have with the building is taken care of, as if I am one of the owners. I've also had to bring on an additional pet mid-lease and it was so easy to work with Charles in order to get my dog into the building without any issues. Highly recommend it!

Our home, I believe is 30+ years old and in great condition. Every time we have any type of maintenance issue ACL is responsive and diligent. We communicate directly with Charles and the relationship we have with him is unlike any relationship I've ever had with a property manager/landlord. ACL was another property management group in the area so I decided to try them out instead. I worked with Charles at ACL and I asked a lot of questions due to having been burned by my previous property management company. He have done a great job to screen renter, and there was no any single time of payment delay and the renter maintained the condo in a very good condition. I also let Charles to handle the sale of my condo recently, and he was able to give professional sale advice and sold my condo at the highest bid far exceeding my expectation. You may think this sounds a bit over the top but you didn’t have the experience of working with my last property management company! Let me explain…in May (2017) after several months of poor communication, dealing with inept employees, and work/repairs not scheduled in a timely manner, I came to the realization that my previous property management company (located in San Leandro) was completely incompetent. I terminated my contract with them when they proved to be utterly incapable of securing a new tenant for my Hayward townhouse. (They were rated only 1 ½ stars on Yelp but I only noticed this AFTER I parted ways with them!) That left me with a vacant property in CA, while I lived across the US in GA. Not a good scenario…I knew I needed to find another property management company quickly and I turned to Yelp to locate a highly rated company that was familiar with the Hayward rental market. As I read the reviews (from both property owners and tenants), ACL Property Management stood out and I called and talked to Charles Lassey to explain my predicament. From that very first phone call, Charles has been fantastic! He explained the costs involved and how their business was structured. He personally visited my property, videotaped it and sent the video to me so that I could see what condition it had been left in, by the previous property management group. In just 12 business days after listing my townhome, Charles had located a great tenant for my property! I am ecstatic with the service that Charles and ACL Property Management have provided to me for the last 11 months. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
