Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Katrina to represent anyone in the purchase of a home. I worked with Katrina on the purchase of my first home in Virginia in August/September 2023. She has/had a business relationship with home inspector Drew McNeill of DC Home Authority. Katrina recommended I use Drew as my home inspector. He performed the inspection on August 30, 2023, for a fee of $700. His inspection uncovered several points of concern that were remedied by the sellers. However, he missed clearly visible and substantial compromises to the foundation joists caused by or ignored by the sellers. This included three cut or broken joists. A recent repair to these joists cost nearly $5,000 (the most cost effective option after three estimates). I filed a complaint with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) for this issue and other matters, including his negligence in not citing the lack of insulation in roughly a third of the basement. DPOR's investigation found that Drew was not licensed to conduct home inspections in the state of Virginia during the time my home was inspected (and he still does not at the time of this posting). Katrina's carelessness in representing me has cost me thousands of dollars and countless hours pursuing remedies for major components of my home, which include insulation, water treatment, and infrastructure. I'm available for contact if any prospective homebuyers would like more information regarding my experience with Katrina or Compass.

When our first offer on a house was not accepted she did some recon to figure out why it didn’t turn out in our favor. She was diligent about referring listings just beyond that area, which helped me better understand the market. As time went by, I gave serious consideration a couple of those listings, but I held out for my unicorn. Then, seven months after we began, Katrina heard a house was coming on the market in my area. She arranged for us to see the house at 10:00 AM the day it went on the market. Even within my small area there were some locations that were preferable to others, and this was one of the best.
