This was after a bad experience with another company and the service we are receiving after all these years continues to be a good value and stable product. Yamile Servello, our Association Manager has worked quietly behind the scenes for many years to minimize the stress on the volunteer board of the WPHOA. The price of the services has remained stable and the management of our modest funds has been conservative so that homeowner dues have stayed the same until a $5.00 raise this year to cover a few weather related expenses. We appreciate having Yamile year in and year out which gives us a known manager to deal with who, in turn, knows us and our needs and history. Experiencia negativa: I am writing because I am a homeowner and HOA member and noticed that Missy Wagoner is an employee of Priestley Management Company. I am very concerned because I am familiar with Missy Wagoner because she was the property manager at Sedgefield Apartments in WS NC. Missy Wagoner and the men she employed----used keys to enter apartments at Sedgefield while occupants were away----they stole (i.e. money, jewelry, food, clothes and liquor) and damaged personal property. They also broke into and vandalized cars. I am sure that Missy Wagoner is still associated with the individuals. I am trying to confirm that Priestley Management does not have access to master keys of townhome units and mailboxes in my area. I considered myself lucky when I moved out of Sedgefield Apartments....to have the privilege of leaving without the loss of life. This evening, I made the unfortunate discovery while attempting to pay my HOA fees online that Missy Wagoner works for Priestley Management Company. I am so scared....I am going to the police station on my way home from work.

I have zero issues with my HOA and appreciate all that you and your team do. I'm one of the very few non retired people on Cross Vine Lane and I do try to get to the meetings as my schedule will allow. Give me a year to decide if I want to retire, and I will attend every meeting. I might even be interested in serving our community as a representative. Experiencia fantástica: My family moved to an HOA managed by Priestley Management about ten years ago. Shortly after that I became involved with the HOA, and I’ve seen the good and the bad of such associations and the management end of them also. Because I had never lived in an HOA before I made sure that I had read all the bylaws concerning ours, but I still made mistakes on some subjects. Thankfully, Priestley Management Association Mangers were there to give me the legal standings on some items that I needed help with. Yamile Hernandez has been our Association Manager for about three years now and I have to say that she’s the best Association Manger that we’ve had, bar none. She answers our phone calls and emails promptly and is always willing to help out with anything that pops up concerning the HOA. Our meetings are run by our Board of Directors, and she is there to give her management reports and give her opinion of questions that come up during the meetings. I have learned over the past few years that an HOA is really the grassroots of politics. Its heart is a Board of Directors run by people who volunteer their time to help their fellow homeowners abide by the bylaws set forth. Any HOA is only as good as its Board of Directors and its Management Company. There are several items that a Management Company takes care of for an HOA, and taking care of billing, finding reliable vendors for repairs, and maintaining financial records being among them. I think communication between the Management Company and the homeowners is also a top requirement for a Management Company, and in my opinion, Yamile Hernandez has done that and more for our HOA. In the past we have had people in our HOA state that we don’t really need a Management Company, our HOA could handle all the items necessary to maintain our HOA. Really? I have seen a lot of the items that Priestley Management takes care of for our HOA, and I would not want to have these responsibilities handed down to our Board. I believe Preistley Management does a good job for our HOA and I am very satisfied with the work done by Yamile Hernandez!

Experiencia negativa: Priestley Management has been a Major failure for our HOA. We had several people that had never participated in our Association suddenly appear and vote in a new majority to the Board. This Crowd ignored our By-Laws and fired the Management Company, Landscapers, Contractors, Insurance Carrier (without the required notice to Lenders and Homeowners as per the By-Laws) etc. and Brought in Priestley. The 1st meeting of the New Officers and Priestley was a Disaster. The Managing Agent Yammile acted as if she was the President and ran the meeting with no regard to Robert's Rules which is our Governing Parliamentary Guide. She Made motions Called for votes and Shouted down Owners that raised questions. We complained to the Owner of Priestley and he did not respond to the members but made excuses for his employee. The Budget that she had prepared was full of errors and not a budget art all but a single page outline that included $8,000 in items for the Pool that previous owner votes had been put on hold due to the extensive rehab ongoing to the Buildings for which we have a designated assessment. Since the Change of Board and Management we have lost 3 months of Building Rehab and they have drained the Pool against the will of the homeowners. I placed a claim in July because of a Tree falling on our building. The previous manager had the tree removed promptly and secured 2 quotes for roof repair and submitted them to the Board and thus Priestley. It is almost November and Priestly says they are looking for Quotes. Beware, Priestley has its own repair arm and they are known to bid against other Vendors which is a conflict of interest. The first repair they did out of the gate for us they charged almost $500 to unlock a lock box remove 2 bolts and slide the box out of the mail kiosk. 15 minute tops as per the man that installed the box in the first place. Ouch !

Yamile was very clear with instructions and thoroughly understanding questions that were asked by the residents. Experiencia negativa: I have lived in Vernon farms for over a year now and have been nothing but disappointed with our home owners association since. We consistently make our payments and all we have gotten in return is knee high grass and a tree stump in our front yard that they have said multiple times they were removing as well as the fact that our pool wasn’t open last year (with the excuse of covid. But many other surrounding neighborhoods opened theirs) It’s absolutely embarrassing to our neighborhood. The housing market is red hot right now and I don’t see why anyone would want to buy a home here when the properties look the way they do. Absolutely disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: Priestly management recently took over managing my neighborhoods HOA. Hopefully this will be the only year they have the contract. They sent me a letter stating my dues were ready to be paid. I went to their website to set pay them. After setting up a profile and putting in my payment info their website said before processing it will have to add me to their online payment system and to expect an email with 48 hours. I never received said email. Honestly out of sight out of mind. They have my mailing address, home address, cell phone number and wife’s phone number from the HOA registry so if there’s a problem I’m sure they’ll notify me. That was my thinking, until this week I get a letter from a lawyers office stating I owe nearly double my annual HOA fees. I never once got a letter stating the payment was late or a phone call or email. All I received was a letter from their lawyers. I emailed them about it which I got a very passive aggressive response basically saying too bad you’ll have to call our lawyers. This is completely unacceptable and you better believe I will be contacting the HOA board about this to get our contract switched if they don’t shape up.

Experiencia negativa: Recently, I reported an issue with a leak in garage when it rains. As of yet, no one has come to see about the issue. You would think it will be an urgent matter and HOA would expedite. We just recently switch to this management company from Slatter Management. I don't like the slowness of orders being resolved for urgent matters!!
