Experiencia fantástica: This move was a stressful one for our family, and that's saying a lot as we are a retired military family with many moves under our belts. We had a lot of big events happening and selling the house added additional to do lists & stress. Stacy took some of that stress off us. She was amazing to work with...answering questions, giving honest advice, being available, giving names for work to be done, even contacting some of those people...the communication was on point. I would recommend her to anyone moving in or out of the area. We even used the company's box truck to get items to Goodwill.

Experiencia negativa: We were recently in search of a rental property and I reached out to a few of the brokers at Kathy Russell to inquire about properties and ask questions and not one person could get back with me. I found this very unprofessional from a leasing agent for a landlord.

Experiencia negativa: We hired Cathy to sell our house in West Lafayette. After almost 6 months on the market, we received an offer for about $140,000 under the original price Cathy suggested. Cathy also failed to deliver a signed acceptance contract, which caused a deal to fall through, and she was charged with an ethics violation by the state board of realtors. I highly recommend using ANYONE else if you value your sanity.

Experiencia negativa: I was trying to help my parents find a place to rent. I saw several houses that would fit their needs on the Russell company website. My mom tried to get information on some homes, and the woman, Nicole I think, would only correspond by text. When texting with her, she would barely respond, and when my mom tried to ask questions about properties, she told her to “refer to the website for available homes.” The things is, the properties posted would have a date available on the picture, then when you clicked on it, the description would say a completely different date. So I took over and asked a very descriptive question about availabilities of certain properties, and told her the issue with the website. The woman never even texted back, and the message said it was read. I waited a few days to write this review, and nothing, no response of any kind. This is the most unprofessional thing I have ever witnessed. My parents are A+ tenants, and you would think when you’re charging $1400+ per month for a house, you might at least get back to people who are interested. If this is how they treat people when they’re attempting to get them to sign a lease, I would hate to see how you get treated if you ever have an issue with a property that you rent. I’m a homeowner, but if I ever had to rent, I wouldn’t even consider this company as an option. I wish I could rate it lower than a 1.

Experiencia negativa: Our agent Glenda was great, quick to answer questions and got things done. But, when it came to closing, that's where it fell short of our expectations. Someone told the sellers that they didn't have to clean the home before we moved in, all they were told to do was sweep. The kitchen appliances were dirty and there was dust all over the place, plus holes in the wall. Also, in the closing meeting a "representative" from Russell Company was there. She brought her young child to the meeting and he was very disruptive. The meeting was very impersonal and we felt like it was rushed. The "representative" was last one in and first one to leave, I can even remember her name. We go to move in, the sign is still in the front yard and the lock box was still on the front door. We closed on the 10th, as of yesterday they had not been removed yet. We will not go through The Russell Company again when we go to purchase our investment home.

Experiencia negativa: Beware! The agent did not care about you nor your benefit at all! We worked with Brad Smith two years ago to buy our first home without realizing that we fell into such a trap. The agent gave the impression that he wanted to help us, in fact, we received extremely bad advices. All he did was making quick money, taking advantage of our inexperience with the real estate. Now we are selling the house and working with another agent, we realized how many mistakes we had made when buying the house. Obviously, Brad either did not know the basics or he did not care to tell us. Terrible experience.

Experiencia negativa: We looked at a house with her assistant. The appointment was arranged on very short notice- which was very accommodating! So, initially, we were very impressed. We really liked the house but had a few specific questions about it. She jotted those questions down and said she'd get a hold of us within a few days. It's now been 3-4 weeks and we never heard back. We normally deal with another realtor and did when we purchased our current home. Looks like we wont be straying from her again.

Experiencia negativa: My experience with Cathy in selling my house has been bad. Communication with her is sporadic at best, and she routinely says she'll take care of various things that never get done. At one point I was attacked via e-mail by one of her employees after I'd voiced some complaints . There are many issues that I could list off here, but I'm primarily concerned that others don't have such a negative experience dealing with an agent. I regret staying with her as long as I have and should have been firm in asking to be let out of the contract earlier.

When the house that you’re buying or selling is hinged on time sensitive deadlines, Cathy is available around the clock and she works hard for you. The selling of our home came down to a second offer that arrived 30 minutes prior to our response deadline for the first offer (on a Saturday). She dropped whatever she was doing to devote her full attention to us for those ticking minutes. Her availability, knowledge, and connections are absolutely priceless. Our home sold hours after listing (over asking price), and we were able to buy our dream home from a seller in a situation where the spouse did not want to sell. Both situations were a little tricky, and we always felt we were getting solid advice from Cathy. To top it off, we had a blast. She’s the busiest person I’ve ever met, and one of the nicest. I think her reputation of being a well-respected, straight shooter in her industry got us the best offer on our home. I can't say enough - I know a house is just a house, but her experience is the reason we were able to buy our forever home, and it's not just a house to me.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased a home through The Carthy Russell Team in 2007 so I asked Kathy Russell several weeks ago to help me find a bulding for me to store my auto shop hobby cars and parts. I showed her another listing in Crawfordsville that I was trying to duplicate in Lafayette. I was sent out alone to inspect what turned out to be a truly horrible building but was encouraged by "the team's" understanding of what I am looking for. I was assured by her son that "the team" would get back to me about another similar building in another location... Still waiting... more than 3 weeks now? I'm sorry that I wasted time with "the team" since the listing in Crawfordsville I had been interested in purchasing is now gone. Still waiting for them to get back to me? They can do better.

Cathy was willing to tell us the truth about what needed to be done to get our house sold. Given how awful the market in our neighborhood is, it was helpful to have someone who really used her network and got the job done. We had more showings during the winter with her than we had with our previous agent during the spring and summer. She was helpful in terms of pricing and in providing some local coordination on the house since we were out of state by the time the house sold.
