Experiencia fantástica: Our family had the extreme pleasure to have worked with Premiere Sotheby's International Realty, through its team member and amazing realtor, Lynda Miller, for both the recent purchase of our new home (where she was the selling agent), and also the sale of our former home, where she represented our family's interests, and we just closed escrow. Lynda is an extraordinary professional, clearly knowledgable and very personable in her dealings with buyers or sellers, as well as any adjacent people who may come into the picture when involved with a real estate transaction. She is honest, genuine, and caring, and maintains confidentiality regardless of whom she is representing. She does not come across as a "know-it-all" (as so many overly confident, and somewhat head-strong agents can sometimes do), while actually being someone who has an incredible amount of valuable knowledge and experience in the real estate market. Lynda is helpful, courteous at all times, never pushy, and focuses on collaboration and making sure the process, on either side, is as comfortable as possible, while working to bridge communications between buyers and sellers, finding solutions to any issues that arise, and ultimately, trying to find common ground for buyers and sellers to come together to come to terms, and get to an escrow closing acceptable to all parties. Even though she represented the seller on our first contact with her, we felt comfortable enough in our dealing with Lynda and Sotheby's. that we selected her and her office to represent us in the sale of our former home, after we had closed escrow on the home we purchased from her clients. We also worked with her teammate, Gwyn Picerne, who is another amazing agent and human being. Every step of the way, we felt supported, heard, and never pushed into anything we weren't interested in, although Lynda was transparent and up front about her ideas for us to consider in the marketing of our home. Overall, it was a relatively smooth, reduced-stress process (as much as can be, anyway, and within the realm of her involvement, and things that she had some control in), and when there were more stressful times, as there always are with real estate transactions, at some point, she was reassuring and worked diligently to try and make the process smoother, whenever possible. Aside from being the consummate professional, she is upbeat and kind, and not just in a sales-type of way, but that's just who she is, as a person. She has an amazing energy that carries over into her professional efforts, and was most appreciated by our family. We honestly believe that we are in our forever home now, so even though it will be highly unlikely that we, personally, will work with Lynda or Gwyn again, we absolutely would recommend them to friends, family, or anyone who wants to have a positive, reduced-stress experience (whenever possible), and who wants to be supported, guided and represented by amazingly kind, knowledgable and confidence-inspiring real estate professionals. Experiencia negativa: We were roped into signing with Stirling Sotheby's by an agent who asked what we wanted to sell our house for. Janet Scott told us she thought the house was worth $400k. She then told us if we put some upgrades and work into the house it would list for what we wanted. After $30k of upgrades and work done, the house was still only worth $380k. (she had done some research and now said it was worth only this much.) When asked if we could cancel the contract because of her misleading us, we were told "sure, if you pay us $1500.00 we will cancel the contract." We have since dropped the price on our house 3 times, still no showings, and we are stuck in this miserable contract for 4 more months. We believed Stirling Sotheby's had contacts enough to sell our house quickly, now we know they sell houses by lowering the price until someone will buy it. Wish she had been honest in the first place, then we could sell the house for what she wants because we would not be out $30k!

Experiencia negativa: This brokerage has lot of "glitz and glam" going on but it only seems to be a show. The agents I encountered were ok, but after meeting with the owner, Roger Soderstrom, I felt like I met a man who was a real life Mr. Burns from the Simpsons. The guy is sleazy. I have friends who worked for him or were hired by him to do work for his company. He was always trying to get out of paying his subcontractors. He even filed bancruptcy all the while taking money from his real estate agents that he was supposed to be paying to the Sotheby's franchise. This guys is evil. The people who remain working for him should not be trusted either.
