Experiencia negativa: I sold my property with Kenny. They demonstrated good local market knowledge. Communication was problematic. First the good news. Mike Kenny suggested a listing price for my home that was considerably higher than any other realtor I interviewed. I was skeptical, but deferred to him, as their office is a mile from the property. If anyone knows the local market, it should be them. In the end, the asking price was justified. Kenny did cover staging, inspections and a photographer. They did make an extra effort to correct the homes description on the property records. After listing with them I found them fairly unresponsive. The house sat empty for over a week after I listed with them. They brought the stager to see the house WHILE the painters were prepping the interior for paint. Everything was covered with tarps and plastic sheeting. The stager couldn't even see the carpet! They would assure me an issue would be addressed, but failed to do anything. I had to throw an obscenity laden hissy fit, to get a staging issue resolved. My sense was that they were going through the motions. When I initially looked at Kenny's website, it seemed primarily directed at property management, rather than sales. In retrospect, it seems my hunch was correct. The listing worked out because inventory was low, but I would be reluctant to use Kenny again. In a tough market, it think it might have been ugly! EDIT: When I brought up an issue I wanted negotiated with the buyers, Kenny initially said it wouldn't be possible because of the way an ordinance was written. It turned out to be completely negotiable. In fact, the buyer agreed to cover the entire 12K. When the settlement statement was presented to me, that reimbursement was not included. This may have been an oversite by the title company, but CERTAINLY should have been caught by Kenny! If I hadn't noticed it, I wouldn't have received it. I had to have the statement revised. When I was signing the closing documents, the Notary was surprised when she saw that I paid the full County Deed Tax, which was $1,368.00. She said this tax was typically split between the buyer and seller. My research shows it is certainly negotiable. Kenny never mentioned it, and it was too late to bring it up at that point. In short, I really don't think they were looking out for my best interest.

Experiencia fantástica: The entire Kenny Realty team is awesome. They take on 100% of the workload (tenant screening, maintenance, payment collections and knowledge of CA’s rental rules) and all I do is receive a check every month. I couldn’t be happier.

Experiencia fantástica: Kenny Realty has been our property management firm for nearly 20 years. Our property manager is Angel Carvajal. He has been a tremendous asset. When our insurance company stopped writing apartment buildings a few years ago, we scrambled to find coverage. It was found subject to an inspection. Several items required correction in order for coverage to continue and it had to be done within a short period of time. Angel lined up the contractors and saw to it that the work was done in time. This is just one example of the good work he has done for us. In addition to providing property management, Mike worked as our agent in the sale of a building and handled a rental property remodel. In each case we were very pleased with the outcome and the level of his involvement. We moved out of state a few years ago. Caryn makes sure that we are compliant with the CA Franchise Tax Board's requirements. Knowing that we have Kenny Realty to look after our rentals gives us peace of mind.

Experiencia negativa: As a property manager, these guys are THE worst. They had 1 showing forced 1 tenant on me which caused me $20,000 of loss from rent and damages to my property. After I got their badly placed tenant out, the same property with 1 showing had 6 applicants and 30 visits. Ethically they violated several CA real estate laws which I will make actionable. 1. Taking 2 months to get paid from tenant. Money in Kenny trust and not paid. 2. Books are cooked to reflect payment from tenant where this didn't happen for months. 3. Repair jobs dispatched charging me monthly costs without any details or understanding of what was done. This happened month after month. When I communicate with tenant, they claim they never asked for these repairs Electrician dispatched by Kenny wanted to rewire whole house due to a garage door sensor misalignment. Incompetente or scam galore. 4. Aggressive tone and insult from Caryn Kenny (owner of Kenny Realty) flipping the script and blaming me for not enabling their repair partners to do the repair. I simply asked for any detail and wanting to look at alternatives. 5. Fire alarms given to Evan and never installed. When asked they don't even respond. CA code violation. 6. Not following CA laws, rental agreement late fees not in alignment with laws. I accepted Caryn Kenny threats of termination of client / property management after 1 year of abuse without understanding or trying to bridge this huge gap. This is not a way to treat your client, using bullying tactics and complete deaf ear approach.

Experiencia negativa: I would not consider this a professional operation, and I would avoid them if at all possible. Even from my limited interaction with them, it was clear that disorganization is rampant and that co-owner Caryn does not appear to have a strong understanding of the tenant management systems Kenny Realty has chosen to implement. An acquaintance of mine had been trying for months to recover their security deposit through repeated emails and phone calls, so I stepped in to help move things along. I will say that the receptionists were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in resolving the issue. Caryn, however, was notably avoidant, dismissive, and did not appear inclined to help in a timely manner. Beyond the frustration this kind of disorganization and evasiveness creates for tenants, their actions also seem to run counter to California law. I am a landlord myself, and I would be disappointed if my property manager treated my tenants the way Kenny Realty appears to treat theirs.

Experiencia negativa: I usually don't write reviews, but Kenny Realty's handling of my security deposit warrants a warning. I leased an apartment from them at Hensley Avenue/El Camino in San Bruno. The living situation itself had several unresolved maintenance issues: a leaky roof, heating that triggered the carbon monoxide detector, a broken shower tap that was never fixed despite months of notice, a broken window and doorbell upon move-in that were ignored, and an animal scratching inside the vents during summer. There was also a neighbor with an obnoxiously loud car that woke me up every morning. Additionally, in the middle of my lease, their tenant management software suddenly began charging a fee for standard ACH rent payments, which was not there when I moved in. Management claimed it was out of their control and the only way to avoid the extra monthly fee was to manually mail them a physical check. To be fair, the on-site contractor was very helpful when I contacted him directly, and I would rent from him again anytime. Given the relatively cheap rent, my expectations were low, and I managed the circumstances. The real nightmare, however, was getting my security deposit back. While they didn't try to unfairly deduct money, getting the actual funds took over 1.5 months, 11 emails, and many phone calls. Here is what you can expect: - Careless Errors: They mailed my initial check to the wrong apartment, despite me providing the correct forwarding address on my move-out form and again in later communication attempts. - Software Incompetence: When demanding an electronic refund (which California law entitles you to if you paid electronically), it became obvious they do not understand their own tenant management software. They repeatedly asked me to input my banking details into a portal that their system locked me out of. - Unresponsiveness and Unhelpful Attitude: They ignored my emails for days. Even though the lost check was very clearly their mistake, they were borderline rude and were not trying to be helpful or find a solution at all. - Poor Communication: Getting the issue resolved required me to threaten action in small claims court before they finally initiated the ACH transfer. It took over 1.5 months before I had the security deposit back in my account. I would not rent from Kenny Realty again. Saving a bit of money on rent is simply not worth the administrative headache when it’s time to move out.

Experiencia negativa: If possible then i would have given them zero on the review. They just ignored us for 2 weeks telling us that we gonna give you call every morning but no one reach out. I don't know who the danielle person is but seems like she doesn't have time to reach out to the coustmer. Even though we called and sent emails, she is not communicating with us and the receptionist is also giving us hard time. When we try to apply through zillow, they wanted us to apply from their website where they can take our money. If we would have applied from zillow, we could have chance to apply bunch of house. They don't value their coustmer so never apply through them. One of worst experiences in the housing sector.
