My real estate experience with Hyounsoo was complex from the start in that I was serving as an executor to a friend’s estate (and thus was not actually the property owner), and the property itself was a very unique townhome with a limited buyer interest pool to draw from in the current market. She never wavered. She knew it might take a bit more time to sell, but remained positive and encouraging along the way (even when a newly renovated end unit with a better view came on the market two weeks after listing…). She also had access to an entire fleet of trusted service professionals ready to assist with carpet cleaning, painting, handyman tasks, staging, etc., so other than pay them, I did nothing else to prepare for the sale. Such a HUGE relief! Her knowledge of selling estate properties was further enhanced by her chosen closing team who knew exactly which unique documents were required to appropriately close the sale. Couldn’t have asked for a better closing experience. Lastly, and most importantly, Hyounsoo is not just a pretty face on a business card looking for the next big commission. She genuinely, wholeheartedly, loves helping people, and is one of the kindest, most authentic people I’ve ever met. Period. After the sale closed, she introduced me to excellent contractors, including a house painter and handyman, to change the house to my liking. This alone would win her five stars in my book, but Hyounsoo also went far beyond her responsibilities as a Realtor to bail me out of difficulties while moving. Because I was moving from out of state and because of poor service by vendors, it was difficult to coordinate when things would arrive at the new home. To my dismay, things -- which included packages and even my car, which I'd had shipped -- arrived far in advance of when they were supposed to, while I was still out of state myself. Hyounsoo stepped up and received these things in my stead. The car was especially inconvenient to receive, especially since the transporter wanted to drop it off at night. She did all these things cheerfully and without complaint, even though her duties as a Realtor had ended with the sale. My experience made me recognize that Hyounsoo is not only a woman of ability, but also one of great character who goes above and beyond for her clients. She was very helpful to us in the whole process but we ended up with a bit of "do we really want to do this now?" along the journey. We met with her and within about 60 seconds, she processed what we were feeling and she said -- "you are not ready to sell!" Furthermore she said she would take care of getting our deposit back. Doing the right thing for us surpassed her interest in making the sale. The highest form of a compliment to her as a realtor, however, came from us referring both of our adult children to her for their first home purchases. We knew they were in good hands, and she did a fantastic job navigating two different market situations for both of them. I can, with great confidence, say that she receives the highest recommendation possible if you are thinking of buying or selling!
