Fantastic experience: I have been working with Shoreway for some years now – they are great in every aspect – buying the houses, renting them to good tenants, fixing maintenance issues with a breeze, selling, they just excel in all. House management is supreme – everything is dealt with an instant, honest, straight forward, best prices – couldn’t ask for more. Katheleen, Stephanie and the whole team is just great. Negative experience: I have been in my home for two months. I moved in, and the hot water tank needed to be replaced. I took the necessary steps for them to fix it, which took them a few weeks to complete. Thank God it was the summer. Then, as it was repaired by N&J plumbing, my side entry door window was busted by N&J moving the old hot water tank out. The window is boarded up with a thin piece of wood and flex tape. I was told to put in the order to Shoreway by N&J. He also stated that "he is just the plumber" and can't fix it. After numerous calls and messages to Shoreway and N&J, my window still needs to be repaired. That's just one of the problems, and there is a plethora of concerns that need to be addressed that Shoreway knows about but has yet to have repaired. I am not pleased with them at this moment at all. I love my home, but this company currently has an aggregation set up with me. Many calls and text messages have been placed to Andrea and the office, and I am still waiting to receive a callback, even after I went into the office on the fifth of this month. During my walkthrough, a few items needed immediate attention, but no one has reached out to see what items should be prioritized. Surely they will want the rent on time. The owners need to uphold their property at this point.

Fantastic experience: i have been rented from this company for 6 yrs and i enjoy walking into the building to see Stephanie T smiling face. She is very helpful and will go above and beyond for you. Mike the handyman has been a good person with repairs when things go wrong in my unit. Andrea is so helpful when it is time for the renewal of your lease. if your looking to rent or sale these are the best people to do this with.

Positive experience: Update: I have seen so much improvement from Shoreway over the last few years. From better communication to consideration for the needs of tenants, I am truly grateful I stuck through the rough times and now I get to work with true professionals. One thing I will say about Shoreway is that it is consistently inconsistent. I have worked with three different people on the team and have received different answers from each of them. They do not answer the phone unless you call 10 times. They change their policies whenever they feel like it. If you pay your rent early, they misapply it. Heather has been fired twice since I've lived in the property, yet she was the only one responding to my needs. I've never been late on a payment in two years, yet I have to keep dealing with changes in charges and inconsistency just to enjoy my home. I cannot wait to get away from this company.

Negative experience: I personally have a terrible experience with them because they are a third party management company any work orders you put in have to be approved by the owner. That means it can take 30 days for you just to get approval before parts are even ordered or work is done. This is very uneffective.

Negative experience: I applied for a place no one returned my calls every time I called I was given an excuse the leasing agent would call me back. Spent money on application fees no return call. I even tried emails no return, to try to see the property, NOTHING. All I kept getting we have been busy. No excuse, you are running a business. Very unprofessional!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: September 20, 2023. Please do not rent from this organization. Save yourself a lot of frustration!!!!! Update date September 2024... Do not rent from this organization. This organization does not repair anything. Save yourself a lot of grief. Do not rent the property at 13103 Grannis Road Garfield heights Ohio 44125. I have been in contact with the attorney General of Ohio about this property. Save your self a lot of frustration and loss of money I was told you could actually put a queen size bed upstairs by Andrea Jenks who is employee of Shoreway Realtyno true. Stay away from Shoreway Realty!!!!! As of August 2023 @ Update 7/13/2023......Shoreway Realty does not fix anything. My toilet is leaking into the basement. I contacted them in April. Took them more than 2 months to reach out to me if the contractor had fixed. I was told by the contractor that he would submit information to the office. And would schedule a time to come out. Do not rent from Shoreway and do not rent property located at 13103 Grannis Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio. If I could give this rental company zero stars, I would. Take my advice and do not rent from this company!!! I pay well over 1,200.00 a month for this place. I was just informed today that the owner of the property only allows a certain amount of dollars for repairs. If you are considering renting a property from this company please save yourself some grief. This company only collects a rental check. They also require an inspection every 6 months of the property. Also there is no insulation in the upstairs attic, Also Mike Wyse, a supposed maintenance person has no clue, he only comes out to property to see if you're destroying the property and reports back to office. He also takes pictures of all your belongings. He doesn't even know how to install a new door knob with new lock for entrance. Also at this address you can not unlock the front door from the outside. I also reported this, nothing every done. Also you cannot put a queen size bed with a box spring upstairs. I was specifically told by Andrea Jenks one would fit upstairs through the doorway. Not true. Horrible gas, and electric bills. Windows leak horribly. you cannot park in the garage. I was told by Andrea Jenks there was a garage door opener. I should have known when she had no way of getting into the garage there was something odd about this company. Please stay away from this company and property.

Fantastic experience: I have just recently started renting a condo and had an unfortunate issue with a leak during a storm. This happened on a Saturday and by Monday morning everything was addressed and carpets pulled back and dried out. They were very responsive to the issues at hand. My carpet was put back the leak was repaired and the whole issue was resolved by that Friday! The management is excellent and I am super impressed with the responsiveness and professionalism!!! I give them an A+ rating in ALL AREAS!!! Thank you shoreway realty!!!

Fantastic experience: I got in touch with Kathleen at Shoreway this spring at the recommendation of a trusted friend. It has been an excellent experience every step of the way. I’ve had a few investment properties in my lifetime, but this was my first time doing so out of state (I'm a California resident). Kathleen & team spent extensive time with me - first introducing me to the company and team, walking me through considerations of being an out-of-state landlord, and familiarizing me several neighborhoods around the Cleveland area (which they later toured for me during a brief but highly worthwhile visit). Then the real work began - finding property(s) that satisfied both my return goals and Shoreway’s own qualifying criteria, all within a short 1031 exchange deadline. And despite the fact I was very ready to buy, Kathleen & team’s primary goal was to ensure my long-term satisfaction with my investment. They eliminated dozens of properties that on the surface looked like great opportunities to me, but based on any number of factors - renovation costs, neighborhood, type of likely tenant, (very conservative) rent projections, taxes or other expenses, etc - actually were not. And before any serious purchase consideration was made, Tom did a thorough on-site visit and gave me an honest assessment of projected renovation cost - which further eliminated far more options than not. I ultimately purchased two properties with Kathleen, one of which she negotiated a substantial discount despite no other serious buyer. For one property, Shoreway has already found a long term tenant (at a higher than projected rent), and the other is closing next month. While my relationship with Shoreway is relatively young, thusfar it’s five stars all day.

Fantastic experience: After several months of looking at apartments for rent, and dealing with property owners and real estate companies that rarely answered messages left on voice mail. Or attending the open house where 40 people attend, and you feel like you're entering a lottery just trying to acquire a new place to live, I finally found a realty office that was responsive and open and honest with us from the very first call. Stephanie T answered the ad on Zillow first call, asked me if we were wanting to see the place that same day and we did. We later decided we liked the place and wanted to rent it. And it was as easy as filling out the online application. Once approved, we paid the deposits and rent and it was ours. I say deposits "plural" because I have a small dog and an additional charge was required. But none of this silly monthly pet rent applies. Stephanie R, a leasing agent at Shoreway walked me through every aspect of the lease agreement and walked through the unit noting any defects so that we won't be responsible for anything that existed prior to our acquisition of the place. Both women are very helpful and professional. I wish I would have found this real estate company sooner.

Fantastic experience: I recently had the pleasure of working with Kathleen to sell my mother's property in Cleveland, OH. This was a huge undertaking since I was responsible for cleaning it out and finding a broker who would work with me from 1300 miles away since I live in TX. My only assumption is they did not qualify or could not pass the background check. It is sad because I have had the greatest experience with Shoreway. They are the WORST at communication, as they will not return your calls or texts after your lease is signed. They fail to acknowledge any mishaps and issues that the tenant has with the property.
