Fantastic experience: While we ended up buying in Michigan, we did start to use Steve Lau for our Indiana hunt after having zero luck with a different Indiana agent. Steve was great and very attentive and easy to work with, as well as driven to help! We really wish we had of known about him earlier as he is a stand up guy and really did put in the work, we just had too many options in Michigan with a realtor who hit the ground running full speed. We highly recommend Steve and if we ever end up looking in Indiana again, we'll be using him!

Fantastic experience: I am thankful that my coworker recommended Wayne Birkey to us. My wife and I originally used a terrible realtor that was randomly assigned from Trulia, but after complaining about how horrible she was, my coworker gave us Wayne's information, and he is the best realtor in town. Wayne is a guy that cares about his clients. He wants them to be in the best house, for the best price. He is always there if you have questions. He will also answer calls and schedule viewings even outside of his normal work hours to make sure you get the home you are looking for. The man truly cares about his clients. He is the best realtor in town, and we have already shared his business card with multiple friends. This company truly has someone special in Wayne Birkey.

Positive experience: They do their best to find the best places for the right people

Negative experience: Well, this was not a match made in heaven, for me any way. Our mother died, leaving her condo to us through a trust. A sibling was named executor in the will and so was the one to interview realtors and select one to list and sell the condo. Denise was selected to be our realtor. We signed a contract with Denise/Cressy and /Everett on May 24, 2022. Cressy and Everett, in my opinion, has had a great reputation in South Bend so I was happy with the choice. Things started going sideways the next day when Denise had the wrong asking price on the listing. After that, she had my email address wrong 5 times so I was missing out on critical information regarding the condo. A sibling kept forwarding the emails to me, and telling Denise she had wrong email addresses. I also mailed/texted Denise and told her she had wrong email addresses for me. She got one sibling's email address wrong as well. There was a number of different email addresses that were being used. Denise's reason each time was not having her glasses with her. Denise also had my phone number wrong 3 times (I thought it was 4 but I only find documentation of 3 times, so 3 times it is). It was the missing glasses reason again. Then I went to the title company a few days early to sign the closing paperwork. Denise emailed me the night before (the original date I was supposed to sign) that she would be showing up at the closing. I didn't check emails that night so I emailed her back that morning that I had already signed the paperwork. She called me and ripped me a new one, telling me that I should have told her I signed the paperwork early, that she had spent 30 minutes driving to the title company. I told her that was the title company's job, not mine. She mentioned that she knew a sibling and I were unhappy with her. I told her that was true and went through the list of issues (listed above). I told her I had never had so many problems with a title company and realtor before. Right before she hung up on me (who hangs up on a client, no matter how upset one is?), she told me I hadn't shown her "grace". I thought I had as I had put up with all the mistakes she had made. I decided to not rate Denise and to let it go, showing some "grace" towards Denise. But then she sent a thank you email to my siblings, and not to me. One third of her commission came from me! This rating would have been one star except for Lindsay. Denise went on vacation and Lindsay helped us out while Denise was gone. Our initial buyer backed out on his offer. Lindsay handled getting the condo back on the market quickly. In talking with Lindsay, she was professional, knowledgeable and personable. I'd like my 1/3 of Denise's fee back.

Negative experience: DO NOT DEAL WITH ROBBERT!! When though the whole home buying process only to be told 1 day before closing that they needed more money than agreed. After miss listing the houses Sq foot miss listing a 06 AC unit as "new ac in 2020". Agent said he sounded drunk or high ever time she could get a hold of him which she had a hard time doing. Finally resorting to calling his manager to get us our earnest money back( took 15 days).

Negative experience: I've called them a couple of time's about a rental and never have returned my calls if that's the way they handle business it's not very professional in my book

Negative experience: Poor communication, very unprofessional, only showed us dirty properties covered with litter and dead bugs and somehow they Charged us to apply for that... Came off as some old redlining tactic because we were people of color... when we found a house that wasn't completely abandoned it still had property damage outside that we would have to be responsible for... after we moved we cleaned and disinfected the entire house due to covid 19 (cleaner than we got it) for that they charged us extra $$$ money and haven't explained why over a month later... during the middle of the pandemic too, terrible business. Would definitely NOT recommend.

Fantastic experience: Showing was thorough and informative at both places with plenty of time to ask questions.

Negative experience: They keep their listings online even after the property is no longer available so when you apply they will tell you the home is not available and the application fee is non refundable. The listing wasn't removed until this next day. Highly unacceptable for a company like this. I'm 8 months pregnant and do not have $50 to waste because your company can't remove listings in a timely manner. I will never do business with this company based on the way they handled this situation. They literally never ran my application because the home I applied for had already been taken and yet they wouldn't give me my money back. Julianne Morris responded to my review and acted like she wanted to help but when I emailed her like she asked, she never responded. Awful company to deal with.

Negative experience: They do not care who they rent to as long as they get somebody in there they were run down your neighborhood

Fantastic experience: Tammy Kmitta was and is the best realtor you could ever ask for went well beyond the norm to help us secure our first home, she genuinely cared about us and offer us advice even if it did not benefit her. Fantastic experience: Our Agent, Shawn Herbster was AMAZING! She worked with us even through the craziness of the pandemic, looking at house after house until we found the perfect one. She never seemed annoyed and was always super nice and helpful with all of our questions (and the hubby had a LOT of questions!) Her responsiveness to any calls or questions went above and beyond! Because if our work schedules we would often text or call well outside business hours. Shawn was quick to answer and find answers for us. We were not always the easiest buyers. But Shawn went above and beyond repeatedly. She was always professional, patient, friendly, and dedicated. Always going with the flow and working hard to accommodate any requests or changes to the plan. We could not be happier with the service Shawn provided as a representative of Cressy & Everett. As we venture into buying newenew rental properties in the near future, Shawn will definitely be our Go-To! (So long as we didn't scare her off!) She has our highest recommendation! Thanks so much Shawn!!!

Negative experience: I would definitely skip Cressy. The services and quality they promise do not come through. Its all a listing gimmick. Go for the cheaper commission with another firm.

Positive experience: We sold our home through Cressy and Everett of South Bend back in December 2019 in Granger. We were back and forth as the buyers were financially strapped. To get us to close the deal, the listing agent on our home agreed to pay us $1000.00 at closing to help compensate our losses. We closed on January 17th 2020. We didn’t get our money at closing, contacted the agent several weeks later and was told we’d get our money that week, that he needed the money at closing to pay his bills. After several more attempts and more excuses, it’s now May 13th 2020 and still not paid our money promised to us. We have text messages to back our claim. While I don’t hold Cressy and Everett as bad business people, as I’m sure they know not what this agent is doing.

Fantastic experience: Quinn was excellent to work with. Very personable and knowledgeable. Made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole process. He was very thorough which we appreciated greatly.

Positive experience: I was able to get a lot of really good information about becoming a realtor.

Negative experience: Denise Graves apparently only thinks of herself. 82 year old Mother-in-law (with MS) moved to independent living with Father-in-law with Alzheimer’s in a different part of the state and Denise could not lift one finger to help with paperwork or minor details but expected the 82 year olds to handle it. The family expectations for the amount of “earned” commissions Denise received, would be that some assistance through the process would have been there. Denise is Pushy, demanding, too busy to help, always talking about her stuff (dinner parties, vacations) not asking about needs of her client and then delegating tasks to her “helpers” about sums it up. I would highly recommend choosing a different realtor.

Positive experience: Lots of very nice homes for rent and or sell

Positive experience: Been renting with with Cressy and Everett since February despite the multiple rent prices posted we still went with with it because 5 bedrooms was perfect and them allowing THREE pets nowhere else does that. Maintenance has also done us very good. With how much I pay in rent I wish the carpet would have been replaced like it should have been before we moved and I wish they would be on top of fixing the air conditioning with this heat

Fantastic experience: Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had not 1 home, but 2 homes to sell. Allen Grace sold them both. Although I am in a different state, he diligently worked with me to make excellent sales for them both. We communicated through phone calls, texts, and emails. If you want someone with patience, knowledge and understanding, Allen is your guy.

Fantastic experience: One of the best real estate agencies in South Bend. Everyone is very polite and very helpful. They also have a real estate school next door to the main agency, if you are interested in obtaining your real estate license.

Negative experience: Customer service is abysmal. Listings are inaccurate and misleading as they are listed multiple ways but not regulated on any site except their own page.

Negative experience: You have Nick Benninghoof as an agent who when I inquired about a house told me he was on the phone with somebody buying a 400k house and was way too busy for me. I love Allison Plaiser but given the recent service by Nick I will never buy a house that Cressy Everett is involved in. I will also be sharing this review to all social media sites.

She had it sold within 3 months. I HIGHLY recommend this firm, AND this professional. Don't waste your time with other slacker realtors who really don't care about the sale of your home. Kelly wasn't consumed with the fact that our property wasn't a high dollar parcel, she was consumed with the need for us to sell and she made it happen. We left our home to move to California for a job opportunity. It was extremely difficult dealing with this situation over 2000 miles away from it.
