When I was looking for my house I wasn’t sure where to start, the entire process was new and a bit nerve racking. I reached out to Cheryl and she was the best. I’ve know Cheryl since I was a kid. There was no question or hesitation when deciding to reach out to her for help. Cheryl went above and beyond to help me and treated me like I was her own child buying their first house. Fantastic experience: We had Noah as our realtor assigned by my employer. Originally we were supposed to have fFank but we never got to meet him. From get go Noah had made our house hunting process svery seamless and stress free especially we lived 2 hours away from Rockford and so it was not that easy to just come and see a property. Noah, always had up beat spirit and enthusiasm whenever we requested for a virtual tour or in person. Always responded to our texts and eventually made a deal come through for our dream home being persistent with proper communication. Noah, never pressured us for buying something we didn't feel right about. He is very honest and kind soul and now a good friend whom we can rely on in a new area and town. Thanks Noah!

Fantastic experience: Brittany was amazing to work with in purchasing our dream home in Churchill's Grove! She is so communicative and quick to respond. Brittany made sure that as a first time home buyer, I understood the in's and out's of the process and kept us on track. Negative experience: We are requiring a preappproval letter or proof of funds for buyers who wish to view our home, which is entirely within our right to request (i.e. expectation that buyers are prepared). Not only did Bobby Walsh attempt to 'big league' my realtor by trying to circumvent this requirement, but he then left negative feedback expressing how out of line we are for requiring a reapproval and indicating that it is not "standard protocol." He is upset because his personal accountant "can afford the home" as if somehow we are supposed to know that or make special exceptions just because this person happens to have signficance to him. I saw all the text messages between he and my realtor, as well as the time request for the showing (which came back in the feedback), however he repeatedly denied leaving the negative feedback and then told me not to contact him further after I addressed this with him, which further underscores the fact that he left it. I do have all the screenshots and dialogue if anyone from Dickerson Nieman would like to contact me further to review this situation. Bobby reflects emotional immaturity, lacks professionalism, lacks integrity, and is an outright liar. His ego precedes him and he does not reflect well on Dickerson Nieman.

Negative experience: We keep getting harassed by Keith Kelly. We don't want to sell our house. Not to him, not to anyone. I don't care how many times I get a "fast closing cash offer". We have asked to stop. It is not stopping. Absolutely will not consider any business or interaction in the future. Stop harassing us.

Negative experience: Realtor didn't really work for her commission. I looked up the houses I wanted to look at and she turn the key. When it came to signing the contract, the sellers wanted me to pay part of the commission. For what? I told her absolutely no. Plus the home inspector that she referred was awful. All she could do was say sorry. No a good experience at all

Fantastic experience: If you want a good realtor from Dickerson Nieman, consider Felicia. She did amazing work for my family and I for our very first home purchase. She was always working hard, quick to respond, and connected us with the best people to make the process go quick.

Negative experience: Future renters beware! My wife and I recently moved out of a rental property located in Machesney Park, IL that is managed by Dickerson Rentals. Compared to other properties that we have rented in the past with different property management companies our experience with Dickerson Rentals was subpar to say the least. Upon viewing the home initially we thought the property would be a good fit for our family, however, shortly after moving in we realized that would not be the case. Many of the fit and finishes of the home are of poor quality and the street, that is not a through street, is treated like a racetrack. Cars and trucks often travel way above the speed limit with no regard to neighbors or their small children. Upon our exit of the property Dickerson Rentals informed us that of our $1,600 security deposit, they would be keeping $800. Their justification for keeping the amount is absolutely ridiculous. First they are claiming that we were not to fix and repaint the walls. However, we were told the complete opposite during our initial walkthrough. When we brought this up to Dickerson Rentals, we were told there is nothing that can be done. Additionally, we were told that they are going to retain money for cleaning the toilets and stove and basement. All these were cleaned and nothing was mentioned during the final walkthrough inspection but only after the fact. If you and your family are looking for a property to rent, I would highly recommend avoiding a property that is managed by Dickerson Rentals

Negative experience: Ask about solar panels on their listings. They hid the solar panel contract details till the very end when we tried to buy a property they were selling, and wasted our time and money (almost $1000 on inspection and gas money) . property was in Poplar Grove. Thankfully , the seller's attorney sending a document for us to sign to take over the contract on top of the contract, helped us understand the Sunrun contract is a scam and bad service (LOL funny how them trying to secure their client actually helped us). Not very transparent to buyers unless you ask them the EXACT questions.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Seaver Sisler as a realtor if you are looking to buy or sell your home. He will go above and beyond for you. He was very responsive and willing to answer any and all questions we had.

Negative experience: I submit this review for awareness and understanding of how a business can operate. A tragic motorcycle accident took my first wife of 28 years and left my two daughters, three grand children and I trying to deal with the overwhelming pain. We needed to sell her home. We listed it with Dickerson and it sold in less than 24 hrs to the first person that looked at it. My daughters and I felt the home was going to a good family. We were so thankful. Through the logistics of closing I felt some of the charges for my daughters to electronically sign from their out of town home states were ridiculous. My two daughters entrusted me, their father, to take care of them through this crisis. I didn't want to except what I felt was borderline unethically high charges. I was not alone in this thought. I asked Dickerson to assume half of this responsibility and to give back $225 (half) and I would assume the other half. Remember this home sold in 20 minutes. Dickerson collected 7% or $17Plus thousand dollars. I thought it was a fair request. They denied me. When I say "they" I do not mean my realtor. I mean Dickerson denied me. I would have walked away immediately had it not been for my two daughters. This was my responsibility to get this completed for them. They entrusted me. I needed to get through this for them to get closure. They just lost the mother they both dearly loved. So I moved forward. Doing the right thing is rare in business but certainly not unprecedented. Dickerson chose profit over compassion for $225.

He has put in evening/weekend hours to make this deal happen. If you are looking for a dependable real estate agent. I would go with him.

I have bought and sold more than 3 homes in the past, and NEVER had someone work as hard as she does for her clients. She has a delightful personality, keeps in phone and text communication with you every step of the way. You will need Deb in your corner to know the ins and outs of the market, and to feel confident in your decision of taking that big leap of faith of signing on that dotted line. Fantastic experience: After Bob Grzelak helped me buy me home back in 2016, he was my first choice for helping me sell the home 6 years later. There is no challenge he cannot meet, no mountain he cannot climb. I was continually amazed by the lengths he would go to ensure an expedient and successful experience. He made me feel like he was on my team through the whole experience. If I could, I'd rate him 11 out of 10; I'd give him 6 stars out of 5. You cannot go wrong with Bob Grzelak, you can only go right!

Negative experience: Whatever you do do not try to contact them over the phone during their office hours as they will not answer the phone. The contact information on their realtors is wrong for some of them and they have not fixed this mistake in over a year.

Fantastic experience: Lynsey Faraher is the absolute BEST hands down, more than we could have hoped for! She was our rock-solid support & guide from our first initial home showing to the final day of closing. From day 1, Lynsey was extremely rapid in all of her responses, knowledgeable, hardworking, ethical, patient, gave first class advice, used all available technology superbly, and kept us informed thoroughly at every stage, giving us the peace of mind that we were in good hands. We never once felt forced to make an offer, encouraging us that we'll know when we find the "one." Wow, was she right! My fiance' & I purchased our 1st home in December 2021, where the market alone was incredibly aggressive, add in the challenge of competing against a home with multiple offers due to the location & amenities (a beautiful pond in the back yard, surrounded by wildlife) outside of a small town, where homes sell quickly in general, we knew we were up for a potential challenge, a challenge she navigated us through every step of the way. I truly believe Lynsey's knowledge of the market & negotiating techniques is what landed us our dream home as she is well respected & appreciated. The largest & most expensive purchase of our adult live was also the smoothest & stressfree transaction. How many people can say that? Lynsey: Again, we can't thank you enough. He had a photographer take wonderful pictures for marketing, but we didn’t even need them because he sold my house so fast. He was quick to answer my questions and kept me informed at all times. Negative experience: One of the worst experiences I've had from a rental company. When you bring up a concern or issue, the woman that responds is short, passive, and at times just rude. She will also never apologize for the way she talks to you. I would never rent with them again just because of her. They definitely need someone that actually knows how to talk to people and has worked in customer service. I wouldn't hire this woman to take orders at a drive through. Also, If they have to do a repair on your place, just be prepared to clean up after them. Rent from Terra Creek instead, they actually care about you. That's where I'll be going back to after my lease is up

You really fight to get the best deal. D&N Rockford wouldn't be the same without Ginger Westin. When conventional wisdom says no, she's unconventional. Negative experience: I trusted the good reviews, however it was a very big mistake. I was given a newbie for agent and ended up paying charges for which I was not made aware of prior the end of the deal. I should not have given Sarah a chance. As most the time she didn’t have an answer to my question, she told me she had a mentor to help, more like a tormentor.

Negative experience: I'm reposting this for both locations....because they are awful. This is a long over due review of this so called "company". If I could give ZERO or negative stars I would. When I moved here I was recommended by an agent that knew the owner. However upon moving out they tried to charge me for double coat repainting the entire unit $850, as well as replacing the "very old carpet" as stated by Stanley Steamer a professional carpet cleaning company. I was also blamed for "dead grass" that I paid their lawn company to maintain, during November in northern Illinois that had multiple feet of snow and I was charged for dead grass and lawn care I paid them for. My pipes froze in the winter because "mine were buried 5 feet deeper than the other units." I wasn't told about this and they didn't offer help when I came back from business all they said was "I can use the vacant unit to shower and maybe do laundry."(since I bought my own washer and dryer). When I called the emergency number that was the owners cell, he told me to "just drink from a hose." He also hung up multiple times and would not address my issues. You do not want to be with this "rental company. I was told that the buyer "got in over his head and didn't know how many repairs were needed and he couldn't make them all." Their plumber/electrician/repair man is the same person. I was also charged for the shower he couldn't repair and never did. These rentals are a joke and are not recommended. I have all the email/statement and photo proof to back all of this review up. Do not rent with them. There are better places that won't screw you for money in the ROCKFORD, mechesney, loves park area.

Fantastic experience: Met Dawn at an open house in my neighborhood and just loved her energy. When we decided we wanted to start looking I remembered her and contacted her. I have not regretted it! Dawn has been supportive and a great listener to what we are looking for. She also recommend someone to us to help with first time home buyers program and we also have not been dissatisfied with him. I would recommend Dawn from D&N any day!

Negative experience: Wish I could provide a 0 star review. Customer service sucks just as it did when it was Bice Rentals, charging us late fees over a day or two but also waiting almost 4 months as the fee's racked up before even saying anything about it. Attempted to resolve fee issue with home office and was hung up on, then told it was my fault that I couldn't get a hold of them after calling the number listed on their website for over a week and finally e-mailing the office manager without response. Fiance called and was also hung up on and then told to shut up by the gal in the office. I'm starting to regret ever re-signing our lease, wish we had the means to move right now because they can shove this apartment up their a$$ without lube.
