Fantastic experience: Andrew gets a 100/10! We took him house hunting with us for 6 months before we finally found the house we wanted. Each time we contacted him on a house we were interested in to go look at he made himself available that same day and always accommodated us. Sometimes he would even make suggestions and add extra houses to our list we didn’t know about that we’d potentially like and never not once made us feel like a bother or waste of time every house we visited that didn’t check our boxes. Andrew is so knowledgeable when it comes to the market prices, neighborhoods, cost of repairs, and most importantly negotiating. He always had our best interest at heart and didn’t want us to overpay for anything and be completely satisfied with our purchase. I'd been scrolling Zillow for at least a year, but knew it was time to start seeing things in person. Those fish eye lenses and descriptions don't always accurately convey the truth of a property. I thought I was just setting an appointment with a listing agent through Zillow. I'd casually talked to a few friends in the business over the years and figured I'd reach out to one of them if I a saw a house I was excited about. Zillow actually paired me with Andrew Rusca. He reached out through the app and offered to spend the day with me looking at properties and seeing what was out there. I didn't want to waste his time, but figured I'd accept the offer and then see how the day went. Andrew was exactly what I was looking for. He isn't a pushy salesperson. He listened to what I was saying about properties that I liked. He listened to even subtle comments about properties to understand what was important to me. That first day turned into another. That turned into another. Each time we met I feel like we got into a groove and we both could tell what I would like or not like in a home. I had friends come walk through homes with me and he accepted that as if they'f been there the entire time. He lives in the area that I was primarily looking at, so he had personal opinions on houses. Around the same time, our friends had just closed on a house with Andrew and had an amazing experience, so we asked for an introduction. The very same night we got introduced via email, Andrew hopped on a phone call and quickly appeased any worries we had about the process. In just a couple of days, he answered all our questions about whether our budget and goals for a house were realistic, he helped us think about how we would deal with the current house that we own and even provided some selling estimates so that we could make the decision about timing for selling our current house vs. buying a new one. Over the next month, we visited houses all over the East Bay. Andrew was extremely helpful in telling us about each neighborhood, and also in talking through the pros and cons of each house - including additional expenses, possible resale value, etc. He was extremely attentive to what we wanted in a house, while sharing some considerations that we weren't even thinking about at first. He was honest about what he thought about each house, and made sure that we wouldn't end up in a situation that ultimately didn't meet our overall goals for a house. We knew he had our best interests in mind when we both really liked this one house that needed quite a bit of work. Through his experience and connections, he gave us an idea of what the remodel costs would be like and worked backwards to what a "good deal" would be for the property. When he called the selling agent and found out it would go for a lot more, he encouraged us to consider moving on from the property because with the renovations, it would not work well for us financially. When we liked a house that was put back on the market, Andrew acted fast to find out what was going on, get us to see the house and communicated with us promptly to try to get us accepted as a back-up offer. Although that house didn't work out, we loved how quickly he reacted. There was a point in which I felt quite hopeless in finding a house with all of our criteria. The house is small but cozy, and the property itself has a lot of potential and just the right mix of garden and garage for her nature loving and my inner tinker. I could not be more pleased with our experience with Andrew. He worked hard to keep us on time and informed of where we were in the process. When it comes time for us to move again, he'll be the first person we call.

Fantastic experience: I remember when my husband and I first met Andrew at a house tour we didn’t know if we could afford and wasn’t at all what we wanted. We were just window shopping really. We didn’t know if we should even buy a house, or even if we had a right to dream about what we want because we were worried about our finances. Andrew was god sent angel who changed everything for us. The amount of effort and time he put into walking us through the process and guiding us at every step of the way was unbelievable. He was truly exceptional. He was always available to provide us with the information that we requested (no matter how important or silly, but needed for the sake of our sanity) – every decision that we made, small or big, mattered to him. Not only did we feel like we had all the information we needed to make those decisions, but we also felt like we were in good trust worthy hands. Especially because, as a first-time buyer, we didn’t know all of the questions we should be asking (or do’s and don’ts, for example) and he would proactively provide this information, which made us feel like we were walking through this process with eyes wide open. With Andrew on our side, his good energy, kindness, patience, and co-operation made the potentially overwhelming process much simpler. Andrew was ALWAYS available for home tours (even under a very short notice) and very responsive to text message and calls. He is an exceptional top NEGOTIATOR too which is a huge plus to negotiate terms while home buying. Of all the people we came across during this journey, while we felt that others were pushy/driving towards sale etc, he was the one who was as a guiding mentor throughout the whole journey. It was a no-brainer for us to work with him and I’m so thankful we did. When I am looking to buy again or sell, we will not hesitate to call Andrew!

Our communication was highly efficient; he responded to my requests almost immediately and answered any questions I had big or small. Fantastic experience: If I could give more than 5 stars for Andrew I would ! Andrew is very experienced and knowledgeable which is perfect for a first time buyer. He is not aggressive or pushy like some agents but he will fight for you as his client. My girlfriend and I were anxious at times when purchasing our first home together but working with Andrew, who has a calm but confident energy, helped put us at ease. He is reliable and responsible and makes sure everything is accounted for. He also went above and beyond by getting measurements for us while we were out of town so that we could pick out furniture . Fantastic experience: I have been wanting to write this review for a while but kept procrastinating because I couldn't find the words to do Andrew justice. We are first time buyers and knew next to nothing going into this process - so intimidating. We still cannot believe our luck that we ended up with Andrew as our realtor simply by clicking “Request a tour” on a Zillow listing. From the moment Andrew began communicating with us, we could tell he was truly listening and hearing us as we stumbled through figuring out what we were hoping to find. Andrew’s communication style is the kind that makes you feel like you’re really working with a teammate; someone who wants to make sure you are truly happy with the home you buy. His expertise of the market, the area, and the process seamlessly guided two clueless new buyers through to finding the most perfect first home. Once we found the house (which we are absolutely in love with), Andrew’s approach to making an offer and negotiation abilities really showed us that he is truly one of a kind. I’d argue that this is his greatest strength, despite being such an expert in all other areas that I’ve already described, but I can’t say that because Andrew’s greatest strength is actually how genuine and down to earth he is. He is truly a good human who makes you feel beyond comfortable no matter how knowledgeable you are coming into the process and how many “dumb” or “annoying” questions you think you’re asking. We were anticipating an extremely stressful process and weren’t confident we’d even be able to buy in the area we loved, but Andrew guided us through so well that the process was actually more fun than stressful. He led us through it, navigated and helped us manage family opinions, met us for multiple viewings of our house with minimal notice, and all while we were living separately (me in SoCal and my boyfriend in NorCal) and on completely different schedules (typical 9-5 schedule and night shift) without skipping a beat. It likely goes without saying, but Andrew is our realtor for life. Anytime we buy or sell in the future, Andrew is our guy, and I cannot recommend him more strongly. He really is the best!
