Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I recently purchased a home in Sante Fe, and I am completely certain that this wouldn’t have happened without the help of Rachel Rosebery at Coldwell Trails West. I was first referred to Rachel through a friend, who used Rachel as their own realtor a few years back. When I contacted Rachel, I told her that we had moved from New York, where finding a reasonably priced home seemed almost as possible as finding a realtor who would give you the time of day, if your budget was under $1mm (which ours was). My initial trepidation was immediately assuaged after speaking with Rachel. The housing market proved difficult, but working with her was anything but that. After our first meeting, my fiancé and I not only felt super comfortable with our interactions, but we also kept our fingers crossed that this cool, smart, detailed-oriented person, might someday become a friend (she’a that kind of person). After our first offer was rejected, I felt a bit in the dumps and was ready to rent for another year - no need on overbidding by $50-100k in this crazy market. And it was soon after this time that Rachel found us the perfect house that was within - actual under - our budget. Magicians pull rabbits out of their hat with less skill than Rachel used to help us find this house! After we put our offer in, Rachel’s real work started. I find myself to be detail oriented but she put be to shame! We never had any concerns about missing a deadline or having anything less than complete transparency when it came to the buying process. I could probably add another 10k words, but hopefully the sentiment has come through. Purchasing a home can be tough, but if you want to work with someone who is empathetic, compassionate, smart, and just damn good at her job, you really couldn’t do better. 11/10 - I hope this review finds a prospective home buyer, and makes the process a little more manageable. My wife and I wanted to see a property they had listed, and they recommended Robert as a possible buyer agent for us so we didn't work with their listing agent. That property didn't pan out, but for the next seven months, Robert proactively maintained contact with us until the perfect property came along. Because of COVID restrictions, we conducted the entire purchase (including closing) remotely from Ohio. Robert volunteered to coordinate all of the local activity needed - inspections, surveys, walkthroughs, etc. We could not be happier with the relationship we formed with Robert and how willing he was to do everything possible to get us in our dream home!

Negative experience: Yancy Whittaker was the buyers agent for a home I was selling. He is as incompetent as they come. Very unprofessional and as flighty as a jumbo jet. If it wasn’t for my broker Phil, from Varella Real estate, Yancy would have killed the deal out of sheer stupidity for non reason. The buyers were wonderful people and ended up getting a bad broker. He never even went to the final walk through. That on top of about 15 other miscues along the way. Don’t know about the other brokers who work here, but Yancy is the bottom of the barrel.
