Fantastic experience: We first "met" Charlie through his YouTube videos, which made us feel like experts on the Connecticut market before we even arrived. What started as a casual meeting while apple picking turned into finding our dream home in just a few weeks. Charlie understood our preferences better than we did, even before we felt ready to move. He is much more than a realtor; he acted as our guide, teacher, and "therapist." He made the home buying process so seamless we actually thought we were doing it wrong. We also didn't expect his construction and home improvement knowledge to be on par with his real estate expertise—it felt like having a realtor and a general contractor in one. Beyond the technical side, he is incredibly kind—you know you’ve found the right realtor when your toddler asks for him at Christmas! Our advice is even if you aren't ready to move, connect with him now. Charlie takes the time to truly know your family and find that "needle in a haystack."

Fantastic experience: My husband and I worked with Charlie on finding our home in New Canaan, CT. Charlie’s background in construction management was immensely helpful as, due to the competitive market, we pivoted from turnkey homes to ones with room for improvement. He could walk into a house and advise us as a first opinion of what he thought could / could not be done to make it better. Real estate is both an art and a science - Charlie understands both sides. He also has lived in the area for a long time and understands the nuances of locations within each town on Fairfield County (proximity to trains and how that drives resale value, etc). We highly recommend him!

Negative experience: Had a very bad experience with Charlie Vinci. Charlie, despite knowing the agent’s access key wasn’t working, refused entry to the client despite the listing agent telling him to allow access. Let me be clear: the accompanying agent WAS there at the showing, communicated to Charlie her access key wasn’t working, called the listing agent to relay to Charlie the issue and the listing agent requested Charlie to leave the property unlocked. Charlie still refused to open the property. This went beyond any “security” concerns by Charlie. This was a flat out refusal despite the listing agent directing him and the buyer’s agent being on the property. So based on Charlie’s inaccurate depiction of events claiming the buyer’s agent wasn’t there, it now appears to me that in addition to Charlie having an issue with speaking to people in a disrespectful manner, he also seems to either have an issue with being honest since his claim no buyer’s agent was there is a lie OR have an issue listening to people to understand the situation. Consequently as a result of Charlie’s actions, a 4 year old and 2 year old were crying hysterical since they were refused entry to see the property. Charlie was extremely rude throughout the entire process and did not seem to care whatsoever. I Would not recommend Charlie and I would suggest he spend more time learning how to listen and communicate respectfully and less time making YouTube videos to gain new clients.

Fantastic experience: Charlie is a truly fantastic realtor -- he went above and beyond to find us our dream home amidst a crazy market and was a great advisor throughout the process. His deep knowledge about local nuances and the best strategies for each step of the home buying journey made a huge difference. And his local connections also meant that he found us properties to consider before they even came on the market. Fantastic experience: The Truth about Charlie. A hint, he’s better than they say. He made the impossible happen, he got our family into a house in Darien while we were living in Los Angles. It happened when the market here was out of control, no inventory, somehow he found a way. Over the summer our family visited the area to see what life was like. As so many others did, we found Charlie online. His YouTube channel was spot on and incredibly helpful for someone not knowing the market. We felt like we already knew him when we arrived and were pleasantly surprised to find out he was as kind as he was knowledgeable. A needed combination for someone in his role. When Charlie found a house that met our needs, he quickly made an evaluation, gave us the pros and cons and came up with a price point that made both our family and the seller very happy. Fantastic experience: Charlie has a great YouTube channel. I benefitted greatly from his free educational videos so when it came time to choosing a realtor for my purchase I naturally thought Charlie is the one who deserves my business. I am glad I did. Besides being knowledgeable, I especially respect Charlie putting his client's interest first (we all know that conflict of interest is inherent in the real estate brokerage business). You see, there was a little hiccup in my purchase where the seller couldn't produce any documentation of the claimed legally abandoned underground oil tank. Given the strong seller's market, I was tempted at first to be sloppy and accept a contract language that favored the seller. However, Charlie advised that I should not accept an underground oil tank if not legally abandoned. Of all parties at the table, Charlie (buyer's agent) is actually the one with the most to lose if I walked away from the deal so I took his advise in fighting for a more equitable contract. Fortunately, the oil tank inspection came out as claimed and I am a happy home owner now. A realtor who puts his client's interest before his fat commission is a gem in this business. I highly recommend Charlie.

Fantastic experience: Initially, we planned to settle in Westchester County, New York, until I saw Charlie's YouTube video comparing Westchester and Fairfield. Based on property tax considerations, we decided to settle in Connecticut. Since we had never lived on the East Coast of the United States, Charlie's YouTube content was very informative.
