Remember that fun time in real estate??) and needed to find a home during Seattle's two November blizzards...Cori found us a perfectly-located home for us in Bothell that worked so well for us that we lived there for nearly 15 years! This year, we had a sudden opportunity to move to Spokane and our very first step in the process of moving was to contact Cori *even though* in the 15 years since she had helped us buy this house, she had gone on to build a truly incredible and high-profile real estate team and booming business (we thought "she's definitely moved beyond our tax bracket, but maybe she can recommend someone...?"). I'd owned my Richmond Beach (Shoreline) house for over 40 years and didn't know where to start in preparing for a sale. Cori stopped by and suggested what should be replaced and what could stay without updating. Best of all, she recommended people she trusted to paint, do landscape updating, window cleaning etc. It would have taken me weeks to find competent workers! She also recommended a "stager" who made our house look amazing and definitely helped it sell fast. Because she knows the local market, the house was competitively priced and sold in under 5 days. And, it sold for over the listed price because 3 families bid on it. Her office staff also was helpful in guiding me through the escrow/title/sales process right up to the closing date.

Fantastic experience: I don't even know where to start about how wonderful Cori Whitaker is. My husband and I first met her when we were young newlyweds and realized it may be cheaper to own a home than to rent. We met her for coffee and she was just a truly genuine and caring person from day one. She helped us buy our home in 2013. Our budget was on the extreme low end of the spectrum and the market had recently tanked. We were going into some pretty dumpy houses. Many were foreclosures, and Cori always remained positive. She treated us as if we were clients looking at million dollar properties. We really appreciated that we got the same care and attention as someone who would be bringing in tons more money for her. Cori kept in touch and was there for us throughout the years whenever we had questions or needed anything. When it came time to sell and relocate to Colorado, Cori was invaluable. Fantastic experience: We brought Cori on board to help sell our Seattle house and search for and buy a new home in Edmonds. She was invaluable for both transactions. We wondered if a more traditional realtor was worth the expense, since there's so much information out there for the layperson, but Cori has such an in-depth knowledge of the neighborhoods, the real estate market, and all the itty bitty details, that we're convinced she was well worth it. For example, she knows how best to price your house and structure the offer guidelines to get the highest sales price (our house sold in a week for well over asking price). She even acted as a stand-in marriage counselor when we couldn't agree on some houses we were looking at buying! When we had some issues with the sellers of our new home, Cori was there for us when we needed it. We chose Cori because she was very professional and her comps appeared to be most accurate. She came in and made suggestions on what we could do to get the house ready for sale. She had the house staged and it looked absolutely beautiful. One of the other agents we interviewed came in significantly lower than Cori in his suggested listing price. With Cori as our agent, we got our asking price in 3 days and we listed our house in January, which is slow season. Fantastic experience: Cori helped me with the sale of my condo and purchase of of a townhome . I told Cori I was trying to downsize financially from my expensive condo to something more affordable and wanted to be in downtown Edmonds. We looked at several homes before finally purchasing , and they were the the type of homes that were close to ideal but not quite. Cori was very patient during this process and discussed the pros and cons of every home with us. There was never any pressure to buy any home home if we were unsure. When we did find a home that we wanted to buy, Cori was all over it. She negotiated a purchase price below asking price and because she knew the building was 30 years old there would be some potential repairs she also negotiated an extra $10,000 to be put in the HOA for our unit. For the sale of our home she did her homework, even conferring with other agents who had experience selling units in the complex. We ended up selling our home in 2 days for over the asking price and in 2 days! She brought in her longtime photographer who took beautiful pictures which of course helped the sale. Cori has a great team around her . She is very patient with her clients, an excellent communicator, knowledgeable about homes and the market,has an excellent eye for details, always available , takes the time to discuss details and an excellent negotiator . If something needs to be done like a repair, financing, inspection, she knows who to go to if you need the help. If you need a real estate agent , you will happy that you chose Cori.
