Keyrenter Property Management Annapolis

Negative experience: I have been attempting to contact Keyrenter Annapolis via email regarding the return of my security deposit for several weeks without success. It's frustrating that they were consistently able to reach me for inspections and relay communications from the HOA during my tenancy, but now seem unable to respond to my inquiries. This lack of response is disappointing considering I paid over $30,000 in rent during my time as their tenant.This is inhumane treatment.

Positive experience: Did a good job getting a tenant quickly but had trouble reaching team multiple times. If the keyrenter team would have communicated better towards the end of our contract they would have gotten 4 stars.

Negative experience: We had an absolutely horrible experience with Keyrenter Annapolis. Any positive review on google is most likely fake. All of the negative reviews have a very common story. We entered an 18 month lease agreement and during our entire agreement they were unresponsive. I tried a handful of times to contact the management company on the phone and they never answered. My call and voicemail went unanswered more than half the time and the two times they responded was always through text ; just unprofessional. I actually only spoke on the phone with Mark twice when he called before we moved in and once with Kristine when she called from an unmarked number to confirm our move out date and I just luckily answered my phone that time. Keyrenter Annapolis also takes an excessive cleaning fee out your rental deposit once you move out, which although is ridiculous I was notified and accepted when I signed the agreement, but they also decided to take additional undisclosed fees out our rental deposit and these fees were not in the lease agreement. I’ve tried several times to contact the office to dispute and have been ignored. PLEASE BE AWARE ENTERING ANY LEASE AGREEMENT WITH A KEYRENTER ANNAPOLIS MANAGED PROPERTY.

Negative experience: Hello reader. I want to share my experiences with keyrenter. In nutshell it was poor service. I applied on June 18th for one of keyrenter managed units. They took 50$ per application Fee and $25 pet fee which is fine, but they never reached back with discussion until July 25th and that too just responding with “we are unbale to accept your application“. Luckily I found my place with some other fabulous management person, but I want to take extra minute to let people know that keyrenter needs to improve in there customer service. It took me 2 hours to connect to an agent in keyrenter to know about my application status and she was unable to help too. I mailed them like 4-5 times asking for application. Status but no one replied. I felt, Working with keyrenter is equal to waste of time and money. Thanks.

Negative experience: Had a fine experience for a few years, management and first time rental fees were reasonable. Between tenants, Keyrenter recommended some more extensive maintenance. We discussed the project, scoped it, but weeks later found they couldn't take on the project. They did refer me to new property management and after some time, I got the project back up and running. Tighter coordination in the transition would have been a big help.

Negative experience: Applying was such a hassle. I had to call and email like crazy to get a run around about the questions I had. Not only that they discriminate during the application process and won’t even try to help you until you apply. The easiest part was touring but good luck trying to get in touch with someone after that. Very disappointed as they have beautiful places to rent but it’s not worth the hassle.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. They rarely call you back or respond to e mails. They advocate for property owners and could care less about the tenants. No follow through when they say they will take care of something. Will flat out avoid answering questions you have. I hope to never do business with them again.

The last company left us with a less-than-marketable property, Keyrenter helped to get the property ready, list it, find renters, and are doing a great job managing things.

Negative experience: I rented a apartment last year in Halethorpe that key renter is managing, it honestly was such a horrible experience ever since I signed the lease. So, from the beginning before I moved in when I viewed the apartment and met with Mark I could tell nothing had been done to renovate the place, It was dirty, and the appliances weren’t even cleaned out. Also there were some blinds missing in the office room. I asked if the place could at least be cleaned before I moved in & to get some new blinds for the windows and I was told yes for both.. (neither ever happened) Also after I signed the lease but before the move in date they decided to go in and paint the walls a different color (didn’t even notify me) and got paint everywhere! All over the carpet and hardwood floors! It was such a mess. So, after a few weeks of living there I started having issues with the downstairs tenant smoking weed and cigarettes inside the home, also being very loud on purpose(slamming doors, & playing loud music once I got home) even though I had a 2 year old child in the house with respiratory issues..(which I told them) I’ve talked to the tenant ask her to stop but nothing changed so I called Mark a few times about the issues and absolutely nothing was done about anything he told me to call the police and even got an attitude with me?!? Even though I was under the impression it was his job to manage the property? Well, come to find out the downstairs tenant was related to the owner of the property.. which they told me after I signed the lease. So that’s why the whole year I was living there nothing was ever said to them.. even though the lease I signed said absolutely no smoking or disrupting your neighbors peace. The whole year I had to stay there was absolutely hell for me and my child. Then after the lease term was over they only refunded me a portion of my security deposit because they said I signed a document in the beginning that said $315.00 would automatically be deducted from my refund for mandatory cleaning of the apartment?! Which I never signed also the place wasn’t even cleaned before I moved in! So it took a month to go back and forth with them to get the rest of my money back. Overall it was a horrible experience I would never rent another property/ or recommend anyone to, that Keyrenter is managing!!

Fantastic experience: I rent a place and key renters Annapolis manages it. They are very professional, friendly and accommodating. Whenever I need them they respond quickly , always give me updates and fix any issues within a day or two. I really couldn’t ask for a better landlord . They make sure I’m always good and comfortable living in their rental.
