Fantastic experience: After moving to Maryland and having felt so overwhelmed and bummed out by the countless options for renting I had previously seen. I felt so poorly equipped to find a suitable place to live. Then after requesting to view an apartment from the fort Meade homes website and having spoken with Laura she quickly made all worries subside. Not only did she help me build out a curated search but she ensured me that they would find a place best for me and not just try and get me into somewhere just so they could get a cut. I actually felt like they put me first. Jessica was the agent who went around with me setting up viewings and taking in all of my input to find me the best place. Negative experience: Probably the worst realtor team to work with. I have bought and sold 6 homes and this team is so entitled they don’t need your business. 4 days to respond to a text and email. I guess they make too much money.

Fantastic experience: The Roskelly Team recently represented our family in selling a house. Our agents, Jenn and Jessica, are extremely knowledgeable about their business. They were helpful and patient answering questions from our group and providing excellent guidance. They worked tirelessly on our behalf to sell our property, staging the house beautifully and recommending relevant pre-listing repairs. Throughout the sale, they kept us apprised about next steps and timelines, provided feedback from interested parties, and helped to efficiently address any issues that arose. They did a fantastic job negotiating on our behalf, providing wise counsel and advice. Behind the scenes, Darby was helpful, responsive, and efficient in managing administrative issues associated with the sale of the property. They made the whole process less stressful. We cannot recommend them highly enough. They are a team that gets results!

Negative experience: If I could give a half star I would, but Google does not allow it. Jessica Hood was the Seller's agent for a recent home purchase we completed in Crownsville, MD. Thus we were the buyers. I have never worked with someone in real estate who was so unprofessional, unresponsive, blatantly lied and was just all around difficult to work with. It was such a tumultuous transaction because of her for our lender, our title company and us, we all questioned if we'd make it to closing. Here she was the day of closing only then starting to coordinate with our Realtor RE the required repairs for settlement. So much for the walk through the day before. It is always great when you show up at the closing table to learn there are two utility boxes for the property. She only informed our Realtor of one which we placed in our name. If you want to say it was her clients responsibility, I'd argue that point. If your realtor doesn't know everything about the parcel she is selling for you, then I'd say she is incompetent and hasn't done a thorough job .

Fantastic experience: We were moving into Maryland from Florida and needed to find a suitable rental. We were lucky enough to come across the Roskelly team and were able to work with Renee. We had a few specific needs and Renee was a great asset in helping us find what we were looking for. We had the challenge of renting a place without seeing any of the available homes in person. Renee was very accommodating and went out of her way to get showings and provide us with video walk thru's of every place we asked her to. She went above and beyond once we found a place that we liked. She made extra trips to ensure it fit our needs. She also engaged the landlord enough that when the rental finally came available, we got the first crack at it. Negative experience: After scheduling an appointment to view a property, the agent failed to show up. I was not provided the common courtesy of a call to cancel or postpone the viewing. When I called the agent after the appointed/scheduled time, she told me she would message her colleague. Five minutes later I received a text, not a phone call, informing me that she was out of town, left a message for her colleague, provided me her colleagues number and stated that there was an offer this morning. No apology for the no show, nothing!! In my business, had I acted similarly, I would have lost the client and justifiably so!!

Fantastic experience: Crystal Sullivan is AMAZING! Being out of town buyers, it was very difficult in today's market. We couldn't schedule a trip to come view properties because they were gone in a few days. Enter Crystal; she went above and beyond in helping us understand the area, commute times, FaceTime toured houses with us, when cell coverage wasn't great she would video the houses in extreme detail and send the results over. Fantastic experience: Crystal has been a dream! We just closed on our house and from the very beginning, Crystal has had our trust. As a military family we are used to signing leases and moving into homes that we never set foot into but it feels so different when you go from renting to buying. It’s much scarier! She was our eyes and ears (and nose) throughout the process. From driving all over, to FaceTime walkthroughs, including multiples a day, to staying up late to put in offers and answer questions we may have had, we felt that she had our best interest in mind. She listened and really got to know what we liked and didn’t like and helped us find our dream home. At one point my husband and I were feeling pretty anxious and unsure and she stopped us and said “let’s just do what you’re comfortable with. And if it doesn’t work, then it’s not the right one for you and I promise you we will find your perfect place”. It was so simple but it helped us so much. Never did we feel pressured to throw a bunch of money at a property out of our comfort zone or that we were silly for considering a certain offer. There was no condescension when she answered my millions of questions. It was like having a friend do this for us. All of the ladies there are honest and always gave us the information so that we could make the best decision for ourselves rather then being pushed into something. We never felt pressured. We were looking for something very specific and went out countless times over the coarse of at least a year looking for our perfect home. We looked at many that came close but again we were looking for something very specific. We never felt any frustration from our agent about how picky we were and she made the outings fun rather than stressful. We finally found our perfect home and they helped us negotiate the price down to what we needed to be able to purchase ambit was a bit out of our peice range. They also did a great job with selling our house. Letting us know what we could do to help sell the house faster and what wouldn't be worth it because we wouldn't get the return on our investment. Staging, a digital floorplan, and professional pictures are all included in their services. I thought that was great because the staging made our house look nice and when searching for a home we found the layouts very useful and were happy that we could have one on our listing. Fantastic experience: Oh my goodness! I wish I can give Laura and Jessica 10 stars! These ladies as a team made my second time and as the only buyer this time around stress free and enjoyable! I was very impress on their "Home buying agenda.": 1st you get pre-approve, you pick out the houses you like to go see and even if you don't put a contract on one, they get a feel what you are looking for. Then you go sit down at comfortable setting such as a coffee shop and discuss your qualified price range and how much your future mortgage payment will be including insurance, taxes, HOA fees, and they give you a cheat sheet so you stay within your budget. There agenda mitigated my worries of home buying and they didn't pressured me to settle on a house I was even luke warm about. During the month long house hunts, we bonded on a personnel (They still took care of me very seriously business wise.) level that Laura nick named her "Baby". As both my agent, she and Jessica made sure that I was getting the best house, deal, and a "Rent Back" contract that protected me as landlord. Her and Jessica kept me extremely well inform during the whole process and the both were at closing. I must say that settlement day was exciting and bittersweet because I wasn't going to see them much. But, I will definitely would call them to say as much as hello! Also, a shout out to Pete O'Donnell at Main Street Home Loan. The three of them are awesome team!

Positive experience: I was pleased with how well The Roskelly Team knows the market in the Ft. Meade area, and I was happy with our price point and how quickly we received a high-quality offer. But much of that was due to the legwork we put in to clean up and declutter our house before we ever contacted an agent. Throughout the listing/selling process, The Roskelly Team was very difficult to get in touch with. More often than not, we didn't receive updates unless we asked for them first. They just seemed too busy to keep us as in-the-loop as we needed to be.

Negative experience: We agree with the post that our agent was very hard to reach also. Never called back on weekends. I thought that was when realtors worked the most. I was very unhappy with our agent as she never told us about a kick out clause that we would have liked to used. Very unhappy our house is still not sold after almost 6 months!

We have known Laura Roskelly and daughter Jessica Hold since 2003 when they helped us sell our first home in Arnold, and purchase a new one.
