Negative experience: Do not rent with them , got approved for a house in Lancaster Tx 75134 the house looked ran down looks like they did put no effort into fixing this property! It’s a 3 bedroom converted into a 4 , told me he was going to put a A/C unit in the 4th room (garage) but he didn’t do it and when I asked him again at signing he said Lancaster tx require permits just to put a window unit in witch is a lie because I have a window unit at my house now and the city don’t say anything to me about it ! , once I did my due diligence after having bad feels about this company, my gut was right they are slumlords and liars. Took me to go to there office and demand my money back immediately and I said till I got it !!! Please believe the reviews and just google there names everyone has the same story nothing different!!!!

Negative experience: Do not rent from this company, he’s kept my money and I didn’t even move in. Houses are are roach infested and he will still try to make you live there in that horrible condition.

Negative experience: This has to be the absolute worst law breaking company you could ever rent from. They demand unnecessarily high payments for run down properties. When I moved in, they installed some kitchen appliances, one of which being a refrigerator. Inside, the shelving at the bottom was broken, and it was accompanied by roaches. 2 days after I moved in, I’d walk in and see a MINIMUM of 15 roaches crawling around in the kitchen. This happened every single time I’d step foot in the kitchen. This issue persisted for months. Upon bringing this to their attention, they sent out pest control, who also verified that the refrigerator was the issue. He visited on 2-3 separate occasions, and Mexell told me that one - they don’t typically provide pest control services & two - following services would be $295/visit coming out of MY pocket. When I questioned this, I was never given an answer. Mind you, the lease states that any issues caused by landlords must be fixed at their expense. And guess who put in a refrigerator infested with roaches? Not me! Also, when I asked who was responsible for inspecting the appliances, I was ignored. Anywho, the roaches made their way all throughout the apartment - to the living room, dining room, bathroom & bedroom. I even found one on my pillow once. This was all after pest control came by btw. The issue persisted throughout my stay (Feb-June) with zero resolution. Nobody should have to be tense and walk around with a shoe in one hand and a bottle of raid in the other. You shouldn’t have to sleep with one eye open in hopes that roaches don’t crawl around your bed at night. I couldn’t buy any groceries because of how bad it was. I couldn’t use anything my kitchen at all. They crawled out of the cabinets, behind and under the oven, the microwave. Anywhere you can think of. Did they take accountability? No. Any type of concessions for their health violations and loss of use? Of course not. I literally had to go out to eat every single day for months, and spend so much unnecessary money. And in an attempt to minimize the problem I had to keep my AC blasting at a low temperature nonstop. Side note - I was well into my pregnancy throughout this time period, so health concerns were at a higher stake! I had to have my newborn exposed to this environment as well, which is extremely shameful but of course they didn’t care. Legal action had to be taken and at the court house, the leasing agent (CHRIS) I had worked with to get me in the apartment in the first place argued, raised his voice & even laughed in my face. He also said that the roaches were just going to stay there and if I had a problem I could leave. So what that means is the next tenant will have them and he nor the company will care..yikes! I had even gotten the city involved, and the inspector was ignored by the company as well. It’s impossible to get in contact with anyone that works for this scam of a “company.” Texts go ignored, calls are unanswered and when you finally do get ahold of someone, they are argumentative, it takes at LEAST 2 weeks to see a “manager” in the office, their email box doesn’t accept receiving emails, they don’t acknowledge certified mail. And they have a tendency to give your personal phone number out without consent. I have a whole album of 80+ pictures and videos of roach sightings. Imagine how many I DIDN’T see. And these aren’t just one singular roach per picture, no it’s bunches of them. I could go on about my experience, but do NOT give these a holes your time of day, and especially not your money.

Negative experience: *notice how most of the 5 star reviews this place has are from people with one review only (they clearly work for mexxell) I moved into a unit that was vacant for months before I moved in and neither the shower nor bath tub was working properly. It took me 2 months of multiple phone calls as well as mentioning a lawyer for them to finally put effort into fixing it. They don't fix things properly. I had a shower the would leak downstairs into the living room for over half of my lease. Everytime they said it was fixed it would happen again shortly after. The mexell employees are extremely unprofessional. Would reccomend not signing here. They don't deserve any business. L

Negative experience: Son unos estafadores. Aparte de que la casa que alquile me la alquilaron en 2500 extremadamente bien cara. Nunca atendían al llamado de reparar el aire acondicionado ni los botes de agua que tenía la casa. Al momento de entregar la casa no te devuelven el deducible del depósito. Deje la casa en óptimas condiciones de limpieza. Y salen con un formato predeterminado de cobró abusivo de dinero que NI EL DEPÓSITO DE UN MES ALCANSA LA SUMA ESTUPID@ QUE TE ROBAN... SI HAY UBA CALIFICACIÓN MENOS DE UNA ESTRELLA SE LA DIERA. SON LO PEOR.

Negative experience: Very confusing address for Google Maps to find . The lady who answers the phone had absolutely no cuth and was not helpful at all. But instead very rude. Obviously customer service is the thing of the past at this place.

Negative experience: We were showed a house on Friday at 4PM. They told us to apply for the house because they go fast. We applied that evening. On Sunday a family moved into the house. They showed us and had us apply for a house that isn’t available. Unprofessional and unethical. Beware.

Negative experience: *UPDATE 04/04/2025 I’m not sure what me signing my lease and moving in has to do with the NATURAL ongoing damages over the timeframe that I’ve been living here. The point that I made is with maintenance being available and the option for repairs, I am not getting the service that I need or that I’m supposed to be getting. The roof In this townhome is going to cave in soon due to water damage from natural disasters that has not been repaired. It’s been over a month now since I’ve put in my work order in.This is absolutely ridiculous. I’m sure if it was your home you would expect repairs within a day or two or maybe even a week. Why do me and my 9 month infant baby have to suffer And stay locked in our room because the floor is damaged And flooded…? I can hear the all electrical current Through the lights. Also, my downstairs floor is flooded as well The picture of the stove is from water damage and leakage that I have been complaining about since December 2023.! That has never been repaired…… The picture of the man on the roof was a temporary patch. They literally did nothing because this place is flooded still I have been having a water leak in my apartment since December 2023 i moved in November!!! Every time maintenance comes out he just puts some white filling in the hole in my bathroom bathtub which comes off after i shower so the leek just starts happening again After 9 months of water damage and 3 maintenance request i am now being “fined” for issues in the apartment that the water damage has caused The kitchen cabinet literally was hanging off of the wall and the maintenance man came in and put white filling inside of it which leaves it looking really bad and still no fix to the mold that the water is causing The wall is disconnecting from the floor i had to temporarily fix it And guess what the maintenance man came and did FILLED IT WITH MORE FILLING And im being fined for something!!! Now they will not answer the phone or text message me back like they did this morning I will be contacting everyone possible to help me get out of my lease because unfortunately i signed for another year but i refuse to live here that long I have a new born baby and i should not be having to deal with heartless people like this !!!

Negative experience: Writing review for my partner My experience with Mexell Property Management was absolutely horrible from start to finish. When I first moved into the house, it wasn’t even ready. The property was infested with roaches and rats, something they never disclosed beforehand. On top of that, everything in the house was falling apart—cabinets wouldn’t close properly, and the flooring was constantly coming up. They ended up replacing it three different times, and each time it took months for them to even respond. The entire house was full of mold, and every time i submitted a work order, it took them forever to do anything about it—if they responded at all. Toward the end of my lease, they just stopped addressing our maintenance requests altogether. By the time i moved out, none of the major problems i reported had been fixed. To make things worse, they suddenly started being friendly and responsive when the lease was about to end—clearly trying to get us to renew. Once they realized i wasn’t staying, everything changed. They turned around and tried to charge me for a long list of issues that i absolutely did not cause, clearly trying to keep my deposit and charge me even more money. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Mexell Property Management. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and care more about money than their tenants’ well-being.

Fantastic experience: I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find these guys. I almost wanted to give up because my mom moved to Oklahoma to take care of my brother for chemo. I didn't want to go and they have worked with me and also provided a very safe place to live. It was a very tough year for me last year and I admit I wanted to cry when they said they'd work with me. I'm so thankful to have found them. I'm slowly but surely getting back on my feet and you guys have been very understanding. I work my butt off to provide and this is a place I want to stay. I got knocked down and you guys have given me hope. I hope in the near future when my lease is up, to continue renting from you you guys. Exceptional service and I needed better for my family and you guys have given me that! Great location, outstanding house. The people are great and friendly!!! I don't know if you guys really know how much you've done for me. It's been an honor renting from you. Thank you for everything and stay blessed.

Fantastic experience: I have been with them since last 3 years. They recently changed their maintenance team and now they are really trying their level best to satisfy us. Whatever work orders are created by me are being followed up by their vendors and the good part is their maintenance manager is directly following up till the vendor is not completing the job. I hope they keep this service level and don’t go back to the worst service.

Negative experience: The regret I have in my heart for moving here will make me think twice before dealing with any company again. Mexell should be ashamed. They are trying to cover up their tracks with fake reviews but listen (DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM) they will run your blood pressure up and they (DO NOT) inspect the homes like they will promise you.

Started making empty treats nothing happened so when things started going into motion that’s when they wanna send people to come fix things dang near a year later. I REGRET ever moving into this home. A home is suppose to be where the heart is well right now I’m empty and pissed all the way off. Slum landlord horrible to treat people the way they do.

They NEVER gave us the "Selling Price" of the property, NEVER fixed the toilets' or AC units on the property at 3707 Copeland St., Dallas for 2 years the several times we asked to take care of it and then they also tried to add a charge of Property taxes for us, as a Church to pay. Their customer service and how they speak to people was in such a way that we would NEVER want to do business with them again! Be careful dealing with this company and MAKE SURE you get EVERYTHING in writing!

Not a day later they finally come get everything fixed properly. But it’s taken 3 months and the city of garland to get them to do so. I’m definitely not going to renew my lease
