As an out of state investor, I needed a team member who could help me deal with a difficult property manager to get the property sold. River Root Realty was the correct choice! Santiago understood what I needed, and used his network to help me with a quick and well-done bath remodel for a fraction of what the property manager would have charged. He was able to use his relationships with the property management company to get information and property access to keep the process moving. Never once, was I concerned he would drop the ball or forget details. I felt secure in knowing he was doing everything possible to get this property sold before the winter. What you get with them that you won't with others are coordination with PMs (typically not a fun thing for anyone), coordination with tenants, aggressive but realistic pricing, and they have a massive buyers list! Fantastic experience: I have personally known and worked closely with Holly and Santiago over the past 18 months, and successfully closed on 20 investment properties valued in excess of $1M. They, along with the entire Root River Realty team are true professionals, providing outstanding service and support through all phases of these transactions—many of which were complex. As an out of state investor, they made my business partner and I feel comfortable right away and truly had our best interests at heart. We spent over six months building the relationship, getting to know the area, analyzing property types, neighborhoods, etc. They were always helpful in answering questions and provided sound advice and analysis of the portfolio we built together. We never felt pressured to make offers that did not fit our purchase criteria and felt they truly understood and met our requirements. Most importantly, Holly, Santi and the entire Root River team remained supportive and helpful well after the transactions closed, ensuring we had all of the tools and resources in place to succeed. Incidentally, I was shocked to see a negative review on here and do not believe the allegation this obviously disgruntled buyer made against Root River Realty. It is unfortunate that this person was unable to resolve whatever issue arose and chose to air their discontent through a negative review. Negative experience: Avoid them if you could. I was to buy 5 duplexes but thankfully ended up buying just one. Since I am an out of state investor I was told I would be given a post closing walk through. The moment I closed everyone just changed. The references they gave were even more unreliable. It's all sweet talk while they are waiting on you to close. They also shared numbers from my settlement statement to their property management company contact without my permission. Be glad I am not reporting them to real estate commission.
