Fantastic experience: We had no idea something as important and yet equally as stressful as purchasing a new home, especially being definitely senior citizens in age with a list of must have criteria a mile long, could be such a positive and rewarding experience. Suffice to say it pays to know somebody who knows somebody, etc. Two years ago, we asked a friend to steer us in the right direction of a good real estate agent who knew their way around the profession with skill because we were no easy fix. The friend referred us to a friend of his who was too bogged down with existing clients to take us on but was happy to refer us to Sarah Husby together with a glowing recommendation of her skills in the real estate profession. For the better part of the last two years, we have put Sarah to the test, calling her one time to show us houses in our price range with hopefully some or all of our "must have's" being met. Then we'd change our minds and say we decided to continue to rent until something perfect came along. Then we decided we didn't want to buy another home at all, etc. etc. etc. yada yada yada, and bla bla bla, rather more of the same. She never faltered or gave the least bit of a hint that she was getting sick and tired of showing homes to people who clearly found fault with everything they looked at. Fantastic experience: After about six months of having little luck finding a house with another agent, I had make a change. I found a house that had just come back on the market, Sarah got me a showing early the next day, we wrote up an offer a couple days later, we ended up bidding against another offer and ultimately won out. She crafted my offer so it was more appealing than another offer for more money than my offer. Sarah coordinated the inspectors, the septic guy and structural engineer, all within a couple days.
