They seemed more concerned about closing the deal at whatever price, then really working for me. However, my experience with BHG Paracle was very different. They were professional, responsive, communicative, empathetic and overall, made me feel important throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough wonderful things about BHG Paracle. I also want to give a very special thanks to my realtor- Kim Anderson. Without her, I honestly don't think this deal would've been possible. If you EVER need someone that truly exhibits everything you'd want in a realtor...and friend, look her up. She is awesome!

Fantastic experience: This is our second time using Emma Walker and not only is she one of the hardest working agents I know, but always makes you feel like you are her only clients because she is so attentive and answers all questions/concerns almost immediately throughout the rigorous process of buying a home. I felt at ease knowing she would advocate for us and she absolutely did.

Negative experience: I had a poor experience with Steven Morgan. He was the selling agent and I was on the other end of the deal as a buyer. Steven was unresponsive for 5 days. We were told we would know the outcome of the sale on a Saturday, Sunday night, Monday afternoon, and Monday evening; but did not hear anything. (4 different promises). Our agent had to contact him via multiple calls, text messages, and emails to see what was going on. Tuesday afternoon after more sent calls and messages, he responded “it’s uc”. As a first time home buyer, this really affected my outlook on the company, and after reading some of the other reviews, I am not too sure that the sellers were ever presented with our offer.

Negative experience: Steven Morgan has been by far the worst realtor I have ever had the displeasure to work with. Not only has he been rude and abrasive, but he has also hung up on me. In a growing world of realty, his attitude is unacceptable.

Negative experience: Steven Morgan is the worst Realtor that I have had to indirectly work with in any Real Estate transaction. I have completed several deals over the last 20 years as a buyer or seller, but my most recent transaction was very hard and frustrating. This frustration came from Steven's constant lies, miscommunication, and lack of communication. I believe that my Attorney and Realtor both were appalled with his behavior and lack of communication with his seller. As a Realtor he has absolutely not upheld the code of ethics that are required with regards to working with clients and other Realtors. I hope that Better Homes and Gardens looks further into his contracts and negotiations as I can see in the previous reviews I am not the only person who has concerns regarding his work.

Negative experience: Steven Morgan initially gave us a very compelling presentation on having some investors lined up already to give us cash offers on our home as we were wanting to sell quickly. However, there apparently weren't any investors and we had to sell the conventional route which is what we were not wanting to do. It was hard to get him to even send all the offers over so WE could decide on what offer to pick. Communication was very lacking and he didn't come to the closing with us. We are thankful our house sold but his communication and approach were very unprofessional especially not even alerting us to when when inspectors were coming out to the house. However, his assistant Jamie was wonderful and was very helpful. Just word of caution, if you are wanting to sell quickly cash only be cautious of what you believe because more than likely it is too good to be true. Thankful we did have offers and sold but communication with our agent should have been better.

Negative experience: Tried to get in contact with Steven Morgan over email multiple times no response, call him to get more information on a house he was super unprofessional and rude. Not a good look when someone is trying to do business with you.

Negative experience: I used them to sell my house. Lots of problems along with the buyer have the code to the key box and sending contractors in while I was still there. DO NOT TRUST

Negative experience: If I could give a zero I would. Absolutely terrible ethics with Steven Morgan. He shouldn’t have license.

Positive experience: I found the website difficult to navigate. Very glitchy.

Negative experience: Changes depending on who you get. Jamie Woodward is amazing and incredibly ethical and responsive. Allison McDowell, on the other hand, would shove her grandma down the stairs for a listing then bail when the paramedics showed up. 5 stars for just Jamie, down to 1 with Allison, and a further star down because when you get an Allison, there is nobody to call for help. That said, when I sell my house and buy a new one, Jamie will be my first call.

Fantastic experience: Ruth Caleca was a pleasure to work with. Having 2 jobs, I wasn't sure I had the time to dedicate to house hunting but on the days I had off, Ruth would ensure we looked 4-5 houses. She met my family, she did the market research and helped us find properties that would fit our family needs. Ruth dedicates her knowledge and experience to make sure your able to make a good decision. The kids and I thank you for helping us to find our home. We love you.

Negative experience: Steve Miller was an extremely dishonest and not a good person. This may be a legal issue so I won't go in detail

Fantastic experience: Awesome realtors!!

Negative experience: Good sales presentation when interviewing for our listing. However, our experience did not live up to the self-promotion. Lucas Mudrey pitched us on being both our seller and buyers agent with a 1% discount on the sales commission if we also used him as our buyer's agent. Note: two other agents interviewed offered the same 1% commission discount without the requirement to use them as our buyer's agent. We were told we would get a full service agent for both the sale of our $900K+ home AND the subsequent purchase of our downsize home. Lucas emphasized that they are not “door openers” and would even “knock on doors” in preferred neighborhoods if necessary to help us find the right house. Aside from listing our house on MLS and waiting for showing requests, the only sales strategy suggested to us was secure a buyer was for us to offer an additional buyer’s agent incentive, and then eventually lowering the price of the home. Four days prior to our closing (after a 60-day contract period), we were surprised to learn that the closing date was one day sooner than Lucas had advised us. This caused a scramble to negotiate a move out date one day after closing and forced us to try to make last minute changes with our movers, which we were not able to do. This should never happen with an agent that is focused on the details to ensure a smooth transaction. Once the sale of our home was assured, Lucas took a passive approach towards locating our next home (primarily automated MLS emails) and did not act with a sense of urgency on our behalf. Except for one pre-listing by another agent in his home neighborhood, we were largely left on our own to identify prospective homes of interest. He did arrange for showings when we asked but more often than not these were handled by “door openers” who let us into the house but would not, or could not, offer their opinions. In the instances where Lucas was not at the showing, he rarely followed up with us after to get our feedback. We did most of the legwork to find pricing history, tax info and comps for homes we were interested in. On several occasions, we knew of price changes on homes before Lucas let us know. Because we believed there was a lack of diligence from Lucas in helping us purchase our next house, we ultimately decided to do it on our own. He was of no assistance in finding the home we ultimately purchased, yet the home is in a neighborhood that Lucas knew we had been focusing on from the beginning of our search. When we advised Lucas that we would be purchasing a home without his assistance, he only wanted to know when the 1% commission that had been discounted on the sale of our home would be paid. On a personal level, we enjoyed interacting with Lucas. However, he may have too many obligations running a real estate agency to effectively focus on his clients’ needs. We wish we had known in advance that so much time and effort would be required of us to find and buy our next home. It ultimately cost us an additional 1% on the sale of our house because we did not receive the “do whatever it takes” approach to finding our next house that we were led to expect from the beginning.

Positive experience: As a first time homebuyer, my husband and I were very eager to begin the process while preparing for our new family, but were also very resilient and cautious with our decision making. Our realtor Felicia switched from Keller Williams to BHGR, and in the beginning the process seemed overwhelming but the professionalism was superb. As the process continued, it appeared as if patience from our realtor began to wear thin and we, as the buyers, did more due diligence and research on the property and contractors along with their repair work than her. Not to mention I'm also 9mo pregnant with my first child so the added frustration did not make this a smooth process for us. Nevertheless, my husband and I closed on a beautiful property on half an acre of land and was finally able to exhale! What disappointed us the most was that before closing she stated she didn't need any additional information from us, she didn't need to sign anymore documents, and that would be the end of our client-realtor relationship after closing. However, after closing, we began to receive texts and emails from her of additional documents she needed signed- why wasn't this reviewed and in our file prior to closing? My advice to every first time homebuyer is to always educate yourself and remember due diligence is more than just hiring inspectors- do your own homework and always pray and trust your gut.

Fantastic experience: Lauryn Smith is absolutely the best! Lauryn spent so much time on the sale and purchase of our homes. She went the extra mile and was always available. She responded to all of our emails, phone calls, and texts within an hour (usually immediately). I would hire her again and again!

Fantastic experience: We are new to South Carolina and both Chris and Lucas were very patient with us, first showing us various areas in and around Charlotte and then spending time as we searched for a house in Baxter. Our search took about 18 months as we were looking for a ranch house and they are few of them in Baxter and thus rarely on the market. They both hung in their and were sure to show us houses close to our requirements on each of our visits to the area. When the house we purchased came on the market they worked quickly to let us know, and then efficiently to help negotiate and put the deal together. We were very happy with their services and we would use them again should the need arise.

Fantastic experience: Lucas Mudrey helped us with the selling of our old home and purchase of our dream home. He was attentive to every detail, listening to all of our requirements for our new home and being patient and thoughtful in picking the home that would fit our family best. He always had a smile on his face when we met with him, and the personal attention we received made the whole experience a fun journey. In the negotiation and execution of the contracts, repairs, and various expenses associated with both our purchase and sale, Lucas was always on top of things, taking care of every detail behind the scenes and keeping everything under control. We could truly let him lead the way, and he took great care of us through every step.

Fantastic experience: What a pleasure it was to work with Lucas and the team at Paracle. When buying out of area, you need to really trust the people you engage and they need to care enough to put effort into getting to know you and your preferences. Both were certainly the case with Paracle. They are true professionals and became friends through this process. For many realtors, the relationship ends when they get their commission check – not so with Lucas, he has been a great resource as we transition into the community - ensuring we have important information, recommending some great contractors and just checking in to make sure we are getting along fine. We can’t recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Chris and Lucas at the Property People Group did a great job as buyer's agents. I had very specific needs which made finding the right house a long and tedious process. We drove all over the Charlotte area trying to find the one house that would make my family happy. Chris and Lucas were very patient, even when I had them chasing red herrings 45 minutes to the north. When it came time to negotiate, they secured (what seemed like) and impossible price on a beautiful house. They used docusign to make the process easier and they even offered the use of their moving truck for free when it was time to move in. Highly recommended.

After the quick sale of our house we were under pressure to find a new home.
