Negative experience: They’re good at selling their buildings and pretending like they’re not collecting any rent money. Be careful dealing with them.
Hello Anthony, I believe you have the wrong Compass Management. We do not own any buildings nor do we collect any rent. We only manage homeowners associations in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. We would appreciate if you would remove your review and post to the correct company you are looking for. Respectfully, Ben Kieffer, Owner
Fantastic experience: Very responsive property manager
Kris, thank you so much for the positive review. Very glad to hear you enjoy working with Compass, the feeling is very mutual. -Jared Lawrence, Owner
Negative experience: Not a very impressive company. The management team seems disconnected from what’s happening in their own departments, especially accounting. There are clearly ongoing issues with communication, follow‑through, and basic organization. Multiple complaints from residents especially senior communities who feel their concerns aren’t taken seriously. Definitely a company that needs stronger oversight and better professionalism. Highly recommend researching this company beforehand.
Hello Sammy, unfortunately we cannot find any records that you are a resident of any community we manage. Additionally, we do not have any context to reply directly to the concerns you have shared. If you are in fact a resident of a community managed by Compass Management Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota - please contact us at [email protected] so we can assist you.

Negative experience: Got informed that we owe a $3000 for a special assessment for painting, wood repair and for their 10% "project management fee." I told them we can afford it and if there was a way to spread it out for more payments. This was their response.
Hello AJ, Thank you for contacting us, however, this is not the proper channel and it appears your review is misguided - so allow me to clarify. First, details of this project (repairing and replacing rotten and damaged wood siding and repainting) were included in a notice sent to all homeowners in December 2025. The history of what brought the project on, as well as steps the Board and Compass took were included in the notice, as well as details for the meeting that would be held to vote on the special assessment. That meeting took place on January 13th where over 50% (17+) of the Unit owners/members voted in favor of the special assessment, as is required by your Association's governing documents. I do not show that you attended that meeting. Following the meeting, on January 22nd a letter was sent to all Owners as official notice that the special assessment was approved and the cost per Unit, and again included a "Special Assessment Fact Sheet" providing details of what work was included and why it was necessary. Lastly, your Board of Directors approved two (2) payment options, either pay the amount in full by March 1 OR pay in 4 installments from March 1 through June 1 - details of this were listed in the January 22nd letter. Be advised that Compass does not have the authority to authorize or approve any different payment arrangements, these are set by your Association's Board of Directors, and as such, all Unit Owners must select one of the two options provided in the letter.
And yes, the total project cost includes a project management fee that is charged by Compass Management Group, again as approved by your Board of Directors. Projects of this scale and nature are above and beyond the normal scope of work and we charge a fee to provide services to assist the Board and Community navigate the planning and execution of large projects, which was disclosed to the Board and again approved by the Board, as well as disclosed in the multiple notices sent to all Unit owners.
As for our response to your inquiry about payment arrangements, I do show you contacted our office on 1/26 requesting alternate payment arrangements, to which we responded same day and advised that there were not any alternative arrangements offered for this special assessment.
Should you have any further questions, please direct them to us at [email protected].

Negative experience: BEWARE!!!!” We are in the process of a suing this company in a mass tort law suit for illegally fining residents in our building with zero evidence of wrong doing. They also let many of our residents get very sick by doing zero maintenance on our building until our water heater literally exploded because it was overflowing with toxic sludge. Here’s the kicker, they put a hold on our condos so we can’t even sell them right now! If they are about to buy your building GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!
Hello Mark, I am not sure any of your statements are correct or valid. There is no law suit and any fining to members is done in accordance to state statute. Water heaters are a homeowner responsibility and maintenance responsibility. There is also no 'hold' to sell your condo. Many units have sold in your building without issue. To better assist you please contact us directly at [email protected] so we can further respond and work to resolve it for you.
Negative experience: Another disconnected greedy corporation. They bought our building and immediately started adding fees and fines for residents who own these condos, for example they fine people THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS whenever the HALLWAY smells like smoke or they HEAR someone has been using a vape pen with ZERO proof or evidence who is behind it and on top of their already outrageous association fees. They collect the cash and do zero maintenance, they are literally letting our building fall apart while they tax us as much as they can, last month our buildings water heater exploded because it was FILLED WITH SLUDGE! Yes toxic SLUDGE they had us all showering in! BEWARE: if this company buys the building you live in, they will slowly bury you in fees and fines while they let your building fall apart and crumble and eventually become worthless.
Hello 'US pokemaster'; I believe you are leaving a second review from your other account based on the same issues. Here is the response from your other review:

Negative experience: Compass is an unprofessional, incompetent and unethical company. They charged me $5,000 for an incident that had nothing to do with me. Compass ignored and refused my calls, did not respond to emails, ignored evidence/facts, failed to address my questions or concerns as a homeowner and ignored their own rules, bylaws and declarations. Additionally, they continued to add late fees! Stay away from these guys, they should be shut down. They do not have the interest of the homeowner. Compass is Lazy, incompetent, unfair and most importantly unethical. I wish I could give 0 stars.
Mr. Hoffman, I am providing context for those that will come across this review - as this is seriously misguided and inaccurate.
In January 2025 there was a frozen pipe that burst in your stack of condo Units. The Association filed an insurance claim and per the Declaration for the HOA assessed the deductible equally to the Units affected. In May 2025 we provided a letter to you and followed up by phone to advise of the charge being added to your account and provided instructions for you to file a claim on your HO6 policy. In June 2025 you appealed this charge and we presented your appeal to the Board of Directors, who voted to deny your appeal. On July 7th we contacted you with the Board's decision. You immediately responded threatening legal action against Compass, even though your dispute is with your HOA Board of Directors - as they directed us to assess the cost between the two Units, as permitted in the Declaration. We re-affirmed this to you on July 9th, and again on July 10th, and made the Board aware of your continued dispute of the deductible assessment. You further disputed the charge on July 14th, and continued to allege that Compass was acting unethically, which we again replied to and provided reminders that we are not the deciding authority, the decision was made by the Board. We again provided your dispute to the Board along with additional evidence you submitted to make the case that the deductible should only be assessed to your neighbor. We again responded advising you to contact your insurance company so they could investigate and subrogate as necessary. The Board continued to discuss this over several weeks and reached the same conclusion as before, which was communicated to you on August 13th, August 15th, and again August 18th.
You continued to allege that Compass and the HOA "mishandled the situation from the outset." and that this "led to unjust billing practices" which is incorrect. Compass and the HOA are following their legal governing documents as to how deductibles are assessed in case of loss. The deductible was split equally between the two Units that were affected by the water damage from the burst pipe. We repeatedly communicated this to you and advised you to contact your insurance company - multiple times over several months. I show, at a minimum we communicated with you related to this matter on the following dates:
May 6, Jun 4, Jul 7, Jul 10, Jul 24, Aug 13, Aug 15, Aug 18, Oct 2, Oct 21, Nov 3, Nov 10.
The Board made the decision to enforce the policy that the deductible be split equally between the two Units affected, and that is exactly what we did. Furthermore, your dispute is with your HOA, not Compass. There are literally hundreds of emails between you and our office and our office and the Board related to this specific matter. I can 100% confirm that you were not ignored, nor did we or the Board ignore the rules, bylaws or declarations as you allege. The rules, bylaws, and declaration language were cited in our email replies to you multiple times, showing we were in fact adhering to them.

Negative experience: Rude people. Already threaten me twice over misakes THEY made. Caught them in a outright lie. They will not let you copy minuets from their web site. You have to download the info into your computer along with whatever "cookies" or whatever they send along. They claim it is for THEIR protection- certainly not ours. Can not directly contact the property managers, just write your problem/concern out & AI will get back yo you.
Hello Lauralyn, I am sorry you are having issues downloading information from your associations portal. It is straightforward as the document is a PDF and you are welcome to save to your files for future reference. I reviewed your account and looks like your dispute is over a past due balance which was from the prior management company. Your property manager does reply to you through our software system, we do not use AI for any responses at this time. If you have future concerns, we ask you contact us directly at [email protected] and a member of our team will get back to you. Respectfully yours, Ben Kieffer, Owner & Managing Broker
Negative experience: If you are current customer: check everything they do in details, everyone they hire to complete projects and how much they pay. If you potential client: run! PS I’ve been asking for a week a copy of the contract they claimed to have and the amount paid to the contractor. They sent me some weird proposal signed by no one knows whom. Their favorite expression is that they are advocating for us….. lol we need someone that advocate for us against you!
Angela, we appreciate the feedback but feel some clarification is needed. Be advised that Compass Management Group does not hire any contractors for your association, rather the Board of Directors (made up of five homeowners from your association) make all the decisions pertaining to hiring contractors, what projects to complete, and setting the budgets for those projects. We serve in an advisory capacity only. Thanks!
Fantastic experience: As the President of a 150 unit Condo Association in Roseville going through a complete update to our property and battling increasing association expenses, we have had a pretty heavy workload for any management company to take on, and yet through it all, compass and our property manager Steve have been invaluable. We greatly appreciate all the work they do for us, and have made life as a board member significantly easier to bear. We can make requests and walk away knowing that it will get done. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a management company
Negative experience: The most incompetent, selfish, and careless property management group. They were finally fired recently from my mother’s HOA for, “ Board felt Compass did not meet the needs and expectations of the board and homeowners.” My mother has mold in her bedroom due to exterior issues that were addressed June 2024. Compass management failed to address the concerns, and it has now been 10 months with still no resolution. They tore out the carpet and drywall and have left the house in this state for over two months. My mother has not been able to use her bedroom since last summer, and now all of her bedroom belongings are in the dining room area. No one should have to live like this in their own home, and have to sleep on their couch of nearly a year. These people have no empathy or professionalism. They would ignore phone calls and emails, and when they were responsive, it was nothing but excuses. We went as far as to get the city of Eden Prairie involved to come take a look and confirm that what they were seeing appears to be an exterior issue, while compass kept insisting this mold and dampness was caused from the inside of the house, which is illogical. I would strongly recommend considering other options for property management.
Hello Nina,
Thank you for responding about your mothers issue. I would like to make sure the facts are correct for the public, however. We have had three different vendors look for a 'leak', and none have been able to replicate such leak. The board has taken this project on, and we are no longer involved with this matter as of February, 2025. We also noted from one vendor that the 'mold' that was reported was actually splattered paint. The association received a proposal that has been relayed to the board for approval. No approval has been made at this time. At this time there is nothing further we can assist you with, as your compliant should be against your mothers HOA board.
Negative experience: Over a month and the billing dept gal still has not fixed/addeessed the online payment concerns. Not very friendly or polite.
Hello "L" - Unfortunately, we are unable to verify that you are a member of a community managed by Compass Management Group based on the limited information you have provided and lack of name. To better assist you please contact us directly at [email protected] so we can understand the concern and work to resolve it for you. Thanks! -Jared Lawrence, Owner & Managing Director
Negative experience: Worst HOA company we’ve had. They send notifications of violations without having any proof. One of the notifications was some people were parked on my lawn. Not my friends but because it was my lawn I should have somehow known? They could have run the license plates to find out they weren’t my vehicles. But no. Guilty without question. I got another notification about dog feces. I walked our whole HOA area. 17 lawns with dog feces and I’m the only one who got a notification. Then I get another “violation” saying my dog is leaving “remains” on other peoples property. My dog is leashed at all times and has no way to find “remains” to leave on someone else’s property. Again, guilty without them asking me a single question and them having no proof. Maybe they should worry about fixing everything that’s been promised? In one of the notices it says outside property is community property. Today’s notice says someone else property. So which is it?
Ms. Hughes, our records do show that you received three (3) recent courtesy notices for alleged violations. Be advised that we are responsible to enforce the rules as approved by your Board of Directors. To respond more directly: 1. We do not have the ability to run license plates, that information is not public, and regardless, the photo that was attached to your parking violation was provided as "proof" that there were vehicles parked in your yard. We have no way to know who the vehicles belonged to, so a courtesy notice was sent to alert you of the situation. 2. As you indicated in your email reply to the pet feces violation: "Dog waste is cleaned up weekly, every Wednesday or Thursday night prior to putting the trash out for weekly pickup" which is not compliant with the rules that state pet waste must be picked up immediately. Weekly cleanup is not sufficient. 3. We are not at liberty to discuss specifics of other violations that have been issued to other Units, but we can confirm that you are not the only resident within the HOA that has received courtesy violation notice(s). 4. A full copy of the Association's rules, which have been in effect since September 2021 (prior to us assuming management) is available on your Association's secure portal.
In closing, we just wanted to be sure that you and anyone else reading this review had all the information to make an informed decision on whether we were the "worst HOA company" or not. Should you have any further comments you can contact us at [email protected].
Negative experience: Sharing my experience in hopes of helping other homeowners be aware of Compass's lack of professionalism, terrible communication skills and general disorderly conduct. At the new year, not two days before my monthly HOA was due, I happen to log into my HOA Portal as I was in the process of selling my condo. I was hit with a $5,000 charge. Zero communication, zero warning and no way to avoid the auto-pay function that was enabled for my regular HOA payment each month. After thinking about this, I realized it was for a water issue that had come up 3 months prior when we had to let not one, but two different plumbing contractors into our unit. Their conclusions each time were that they could not locate a leak in our unit and told us this likely won't be anything we would have to cover. Fast forward to that late December day, I never received any warning or communication about the $5,000 charge and I also never received an itemized receipt of the work that took place so there was no way for me to know what I was paying for. January comes around, my checking account overdrafts due to the inability to remove the auto-pay feature. The second (and biggest bill) came as I was under contract with a buyer for my condo. Terrible timing, the $13,000 mediation bill had come through rendering my impeding sale questionable as to whether it would go through. This bill also came with no warning or receipt. I had to contact both plumbing companies to obtain the itemized receipt and as expected, they could not give it to me without an approval from the person who ordered the work to be done and you've guessed it, that was our manager. Trying to get her on the phone or answer an email was harder than getting a camel through a needle (to quote the Bible) and after days of no response, I MIRACULOUSLY got Candy on the phone to allow the plumber to release the receipt. All-in-all, the insurance paid for the repairs but I learned that Compass's communication is incredibly lackluster, they give no warning about large bills and have very little professionalism. Do not recommend.
Shaun, my apologies for the delay in responding to this, I didn't realize it hadn't been responded to. I also apologize that you had a negative experience. For what it is worth, almost humorous to say this late (that's on me) we have completely revamped our operations, company structure, etc. all to provide better oversight and prevent these very issues from occurring. The service you received is not an accurate representation of the good work we do, and I'd say we'd love an opportunity to show you - but that's too little too late. However, we hope that Hunters Park has found a management company that is a fit, and we wish you and the entire community the best! - Jared Lawrence, Owner & Managing Director
Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say thank you to Compass Management. Last Friday night, I needed to call the after hours number (emergencies never happen at a good time, right?) I heard back from Jared right away – – he approved the repairs and had the issue resolved that evening. I’ve lived here for a long time so I can’t list all the people who have been helpful to me over the years, but wanted you to know how much it has been appreciated.
Jenner, thank you so much for the kind words! We are so happy to hear we were able to resolve your issue. Jared Lawrence, Owner & Managing Director
Negative experience: My experience with Compass Management (specifically, the manager who was in charge of the Hunters Park condominiums) suggests that they are lazy, unprofessional, dishonest, and uncaring. In the fall, we had at least 3 different plumbers come to our unit to assess for water damage, each time stating they couldn’t find the cause of the problem in our unit. Months later, my husband and I received two separate bills totaling over $18,000 for water damage to other units that did apparently start in our unit, despite never being informed of this. These bills were put into our HOA account with absolutely ZERO prior warning or communication from Compass. Nor did we receive a breakdown or explanation of the costs. When we needed information for our insurance to pay part of the cost, the Compass manager was not prompt in her responses and was unwilling to help us get necessary information. Compass should not be able to get away with not informing residents of a charge this extravagant. If you are considering this company to manage an association, let this be a warning.
Karen, my apologies for the delay in responding to this, I didn't realize it hadn't been responded to. I also apologize that you had a negative experience. For what it is worth, almost humorous to say this late (that's on me) we have completely revamped our operations, company structure, etc. all to provide better oversight and prevent these very issues from occurring. Negative experience: They were our past HOA company and I’ll give them 1 star because you have to give one. But they are terrible in what they do. They charged us extra hundred dollars for the damage that had already been repaired after receiving the first notice. The property manager that we had Shelby Thull never got back to the email that I sent her regarding this stuff. So I would request everyone to not consider this HOA company as they don’t know what they are doing.
Thank you for the feedback. However, to set the record straight we (Compass) terminated our contract with your Association due to our concerns over the number of violations and fines your Association Board of Directors were issuing which we felt was excessive. In each case of violation notices and fines assessed for your Association the direction came from the Board, not Compass. Our services ended on 3/31. If you require further assistance please contact us at [email protected]
Negative experience: Sent them an email on 4/3/2024. Still waiting for a reply.
I’m sorry Jordan, I don’t show you as an owner of an association we manage. Please send your request to [email protected] and we will respond within 2 business days.
Negative experience: Terrible company, sent me a ton of late fees on a invoice that I never recieved. I will talking with our accossiation president to push to get these clowns removed
Mr. Sleem, as per our previous conversation today via email where we provided you copies of all statements and notices sent to you via mail and email, and of which none were returned to us, we did remove late fees from your account as a courtesy. The reality is that we have attempted to contact you over a dozen times since April 2023 regarding your account. In addition we have mailed multiple notices regarding your account as well as a newly approved budget, annual meeting notices, etc. We cannot be held responsible if you did not open or read the information that was sent to you. We will be passing your comments onto the Board of Directors. Have a great day!
Negative experience: Maybe if they receive enough 1 star reviews they'll actually call you back. Incredibly rude when you call and unwilling to help with any issues. Please look for a better HOA management company because if issues arise you'll be left in the dark.
I am sorry you had a negative experience with our company. We trive to give our owners the best service possible. Please feel free to reach out to our Directors to discuss any issues you may have with us so we could address them accordingly. Please use the email [email protected] and we will review and respond accordingly.
Negative experience: -Compass was very good at doing the bare minimum: mailers, general announcements -Compass was awful at communication, this differed depending on property manager (I had good experience with some). I had to show up at the office to get in contact with someone due to property manager not responding to email and phone calls. I was very disappointed when I involved the owner and still no communication for general maintenance (weeks went by). -I appreciated Compass working with the association on rule changes. Their stance was always whichever caused less work for them which I did not appreciate as this was not always for better of the association.
Negative experience: I am giving this company one star because you have to give them a star. Their lack of communication their lack of understanding their lack of maturity makes me want to tell you to not utilize this company services. We have been through four property managers and it has gone downhill with each one. All they care about is collecting a paycheck and making sure you get this, but they will do nothing for your association. They have zero leader ship. They have zero compassion and zero respect for anybody that pays them for their services. I have dealt with a lot of property management companies, and this by far is the worst one I have ever worked with. They will smile at your face talk about you behind your back they will talk about your association poorly and then accidentally send an email where they spoke poorly about the people there and we’re sending it to one of your vendors. The professionalism is lacking 100% with this company.
Hi Leslie, and thank you for the feedback. We have been proud to partner with your community consisting of 17 Units since 2014. And yes, in those 9+ years you have had four different community managers assigned to your account, two of which were the owners of Compass. We feel the concerns are misdirected, and are rather frustrations with the Association's Board of Directors. As a former Board Member you understand that Compass has no authority to make decisions or take action on a wide variety of items without the prior consent of the Board. In a recent review of the services and communication with your community we notified your Board that we would no longer be providing administrative or maintenance related services, and instead will only be providing financial related services effective August 1, 2023. Thanks!
Fantastic experience: This company provides great service and is always a pleasure to work with! Highly recommend them for your HOA needs.
Fantastic experience: Outstanding group of positive minded people!
Negative experience: Their business model is to cater to HOA boards, and are not interested in serving the interest of homeowners, which they are supposed to serve. Most work from home. No one ever answers the phone or provides callbacks.
Hello Florent, I do not show you as an owner of any property we manage. If you could relay your concern to the ownership team, we would be able to assist you further. We strive to return any communication within one business day, and any emergency calls within one hour. Our business is to manage homeowner associations per the governing documents of each association.
Fantastic experience: Ben and his team are some of the greatest people to work with. I’d highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: The staff couldn't be nicer.
Negative experience: Update 2021: Compass has abruptly left my associations services. Myself and other neighbors Experienced a chronic lack of responsiness from premises manager and owner, when responses were provided they tended to be rude, curt, and intentionally obtuse and unhelpful. After 3 years of their 'service' there are no neighbors I've spoken to that would want them back. Update : Compass's response to my original review is misleading and absolutely false. Since posting this review the manager/owner admitted he did not follow our communities policy of having all architectural requests reviewed by the board. I was forced to contact the board directly and they confirmed Compass should have sought the determination on my request from them. The architectural board has not made a decision on my request to date. Additionally, in response to this review the manager/owner threatened to use his position in our association to deny future association requests from me. This is deeply frightening and unprofessional. I no longer feel safe in my own home and worry that Compasse's dangerous behaviour will be a detriment to my good community. BEWARE! Original Post: This firm was not well informed on policy and regulations for my community and provided contradictory and false directions for a very small new architectural change for sidewalk safety. They refused to answer respectful honest questions about decisions around my request and would not even return my phone call to provide simple clarification about the ruling for my change! I have lived in this community for nearly 15 years and have never seen such shady service and confusing, dubious direction from management. Beware. i am a reasonable respectful person and I was treated shabbily.
Hello, Thank you for your feedback. Owner was responded to per the guidelines of the Association. Their request did not conform to the Architectural Standards of the property, which we are very familiar with. Unfortunately, they would not accept the answer they received.
Negative experience: This is the worst company that I have ever had the unfortunate displeasure of having to work with. They were hired to manage our community after our original HOA Management Company, Associa MN, refused to renew their contract with our neighborhood. Some of the homeowners in our neighborhood had made managing our neighborhood such a nightmare for Associa MN by constantly voicing their displeasure simply because Associa MN was just trying to do their job by reminding homeowners to comply with the rules and guidelines that our HOA had in place, and enforcing them when needed. Compass Management is the exact opposite. This company does NOTHING except collect quarterly dues. They don't return calls or respond to emails. They don't look into concerns or complaints. They are very good at reminding you that they only have to come to the neighborhood 6 times a year. With that information, how much can this company possibly accomplish for the neighborhood when they only have to show up 6 days out of 365 days per year? The owner, Ben, has been copied in on emails, and he doesn't respond to them either. He has been left voicemail's and doesn't return the calls but I suspect that he will respond to this review though. ***Update!*** Of course the company responded to this review....well, kind of. They dodged directly addressing anything posted in my review. I see that my old neighbor AND an HOA Board member, "Foti", has now posted a review, almost a year into Compass managing our neighborhood, but yet right after I posted my review, and of course, it's 5 STARS! Is it a coincidence that Foti's review was posted at the same time mine was to offset my 1 star review? I think not.
We appreciate the feedback, as this helps us know how to improve. When we assumed management of your former HOA, as I do show you have moved, we inherited a legal situation between you and the HOA. Be advised that we take our direction from the Board of Directors of the HOA. Given the various restraining orders, and legal representation of the various parties, there were some topics that we could not comment on. This was communicated to you in writing.
Fantastic experience: We have been living in a HOA community managed by Compass for the last year and have been extremely happy with how well Shelby (the Assistant Manager.) manages the community. All our issues were addressed promptly and efficiently. The communication and follow-up is very thorough. Anybody looking for a property manager, I would always recommend them.
Fantastic experience: First and foremost: When reading reviews please evaluate if the review is from a discruntled homeowner or an association board member that has had the privilege of working with Compass Management. (Homeowners will vent about a policy authored by the board that the management company simply enforces.) As a board member I have been extremely pleased with my experience with Compass Management. One of CMG's founding partners was formerly with a company that managed our property. When we learned he was launching a new company it was unanimous that our property wanted to be a customer of Compass Mgt Group. This is the 3rd company I have worked with and hopefully the last! Benefits you will get by working with CMG: creative solutions to save homeowner's money, management style that keeps the board informed and educated and allows the board the final decision, CMG stays up to date with current rules/regs that affect associations and quickly communicates how that will affect us. This is just a glimpse of the personal service that CMG provides. They manage our property as if they owned a home in the association. I highly recommend CMG to associations!
Fantastic experience: Compass Management does an excellent job here at Gleason Farms. They do what they say and get it done on time. There is a weekly walk through to check that everything is in order. I think this shows pride in what they do.
Fantastic experience: Gleason Farms has been my home for almost 15 years. In that time we have had three management firms, and Compass Management Group is far and away the best. The managers are on site at least once a week, taking note of conditions that need attention. They respond quickly to problems, and are always professional in their interactions with residents.
Negative experience: What a bunch of GREEDY HOA managers. I bought a foreclosure and because their attorney would not tell me where to send the payment I got hit with a late fee. I disputed the late fee and then they started charging me late fees for not paying the late fee! I have always paid the regular dues on time!
Laurie, I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy the Association's collection fee policy, which is determined by the Board of Directors of the Association, rather than Compass Management Group, Inc. We are required by our contract to enforce the Rules and Regulations of the Association, which includes assessing late fees for accounts that are not paid in full each month. I provided you very detailed breakdown of chain of events, charges applied and payments received via email yesterday, and account statements were also provided in November and December, which you confirmed receiving via email. I encourage you to read through the details previously provided to understand the charges and why late fees were applied . In addition, please consider familiarizing yourself with the laws of Minnesota when purchasing a foreclosed property and the policies of the Association you purchased into to ensure there are no further misunderstandings about your obligations as a property owner and Member of the Association. Thank you! - Compass Management Group, Inc.
Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have enough good things to say about Compass Mangment Group - very professional and quick to help when needed.
