Experiencia negativa: Was seriously considering one of their apartments until we read the sheet they gave us. They frigging nickle and dime you for literally everything. A common area electricity? You mean lights in the parking lot. Internet weather you want it or not. Administrative billing fee? Guess someone has to pay for the lady to sit in an empty building for an open house

Hi Bob! Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback on our community of brand new townhomes and apartments located at 1580 W. Main Ave. We list our fees individually rather than folding them invisibly into a higher base rent the way many communities do. Our goal is to let our residents know exactly what they're paying for — we think that's the best way to offer real transparency, even if it means a couple more line items.

I encourage you to look at the full picture: 1580 Main features geothermal heating and cooling, which is cleaner than conventional systems and keeps utility costs down and comfort consistent year-round. The community also offers quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, soft-close cabinetry, full-size in-unit washer/dryer, 1 Gig Internet, and attached 2-car garages with plenty of room for vehicles, storage, and gear.

The overall value here speaks for itself, and we're sorry you felt a one-star review of our management company was warranted simply because of our efforts to be transparent at our community. Experiencia fantástica: I have lived in two different Alliance apartment communities and loved them both! They are well maintained and staff if friendly. The Cove is very modern and the spacious apartment and attached 2-stall garage make it feel like our own house. The property goes above and beyond to make it home for the residents. We have a pickleball and basketball court, a gorgeous clubhouse with a community room, gym, movie theater room, and an adorable library. Pets are welcome, and our cat loves lounging by the patio door! Neighborhood dogs are well behaved and neighbors are good about picking up after pets. We plan on being here a long time!

Experiencia negativa: Highly recommend reading your lease in detail and asking questions to things that may be confusing for you. My husband and I recently bought a house with our lease ending July 31. “According to the lease” you need to submit a whole separate form within 60 days stating that you will be moving out on your lease date. A lease ending means you move out correct? Well not according to Arvada apartments. The lease “60 day notice” is super confusing and does not clarify this. We have to pay an extra 60 DAYS or until someone rents out the apartment. Let me remind you that we still need to move out by July 31, yet we will have to continue to pay rent and utilities, without even living there. What a joke to get the most money out of me possible. Arvada, you have done me dirty and I’m sure many other people who aren’t aware of this situation.

Hi Haley – we're sorry to hear that you felt the need to leave this review. While we’ve already been in direct communication with you about your concerns, we’d like to provide clarification here for anyone reading.

Our lease agreement clearly outlines the requirement for 60 days' written notice prior to move-out, and this is referenced multiple times throughout the contract. We strive to be transparent in our policies, and we encourage all residents to reach out with any questions before signing their lease.

In your case, your move-out notice was received on June 23, 2025, with a stated move-out date of July 31, 2025. Per the 60-day notice policy, your rental and utility responsibility extends through August 22, 2025. This was not only outlined in your lease, but also communicated in multiple reminder emails, which included detailed instructions for both renewing your lease or submitting notice properly.

In an effort to support you, we offered helpful solutions such as a payment plan or the possibility of re-renting the apartment early. If a new tenant is found prior to August 22, your responsibility would be adjusted accordingly.

Given the clear terms of the lease and the proactive communication on our part, we must continue to uphold the agreement both parties signed. We genuinely aim to treat all residents fairly and consistently, and appreciate your understanding that lease obligations apply equally across the board.

Experiencia fantástica: I just moved in to the the Emerald Park Villas apartment on 8/1/24 and i just absolutely love it, the apartment is really well maintained and is a very beautiful spacious apartment, it even has a built in desk which is a plus. And the management team AND Maintenance Team responds very quickly to any questions or issues I may have, so they are very helpful. So overall I am very pleased with this apartment and would recommend it to anyone that is looking for an apartment. Kathy

Experiencia fantástica: We had a wonderful experience moving into Crystal Lake Apartments - all thanks to Stacy (Apartment Manager)!! Sometimes things don't go according to plan when you choose to move to a new apartment, and yeah it stinks, BUT when that happens and someone steps up and listens to you - hears you out - understands how the issue(s) impacts you - and makes sure that you are not only taken care of but does so PROMPTLY and with absolute kindness....that makes all the difference in the world! Our new apartment, the Crystal Lake Community, the Management Team led by Stacy, and the phenomenal maintenance team here are ALL wonderful...we are truly happy to be here and we love our new apartment too. We've been renters with a few companies in the Depere/GB area over the past 4yrs and though we've only been here for a couple of months - Alliance and Crystal Lake has been THE BEST by leaps and bounds!!

Experiencia negativa: Prospective renters, beware. My experience with Bay Pointe Apartments and their management company, Alliance Management LLC, has been nothing short of frustrating, unethical, and outright unlawful. Bay Pointe wrongfully denied my ESA accommodation request, despite providing proper documentation from both a licensed therapist and my primary care provider—both of whom meet the legal standards set by the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and HUD regulations. Instead of following the law, they imposed arbitrary documentation requirements, ignored legal protections, and made the process as difficult as possible. Their poor communication (one response per day, vague and riddled with grammatical errors) made the situation even worse. After weeks of back and forth, it became clear that this property had no intention of complying with federal fair housing laws. They refused to acknowledge their legal obligations, then suddenly claimed my dog was a restricted breed—despite breed restrictions not applying to Emotional Support Animals under federal law. This was just another excuse to deny my request. Upon researching further, I found that Bay Pointe Apartments is managed by Alliance Management LLC, a company with a track record of ignoring tenant concerns. They are NOT accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and have a formal complaint against them that they failed to respond to, even after being contacted by the BBB. This speaks volumes about how they operate. Additionally, they have yet to refund my application fees, despite their improper handling of this process. If they are this dishonest and difficult before you even move in, imagine how they will treat you once they have your money—delayed maintenance, deposit disputes, hidden fees, or more outright refusal to follow the law. If you’re considering applying here, I strongly urge you to do your research. There are plenty of better-managed properties in the area that actually respect their tenants and follow the law. If you have had a similar experience with Bay Pointe or Alliance Management, I encourage you to share your review and hold them accountable. REPLY TO OWNER: Thank you for taking the time to reply. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I’d like to offer some clarification regarding my experience, as it reflects broader concerns that potential renters deserve to be aware of. My frustration stems not just from the denial of my application, but from the dismissive and inconsistent communication throughout the process. Replies were slow (often once daily), and messages were frequently vague or contained poor grammar—creating confusion instead of clarity at several key steps. Regarding the ESA documentation: While your response claims my letter "did not meet the necessary criteria," the language you required is specifically cited by HUD as not permissible. HUD guidance makes clear that housing providers cannot require certain diagnostic language or specific phrasing to validate an ESA request. This blanket denial based on arbitrary requirements suggests a lack of understanding—or disregard—for federal Fair Housing regulations. As for the application fee, I was offered a refund if I chose not to move forward. I made good-faith efforts to clarify and work through the ESA concerns, only to later be told that the application had been processed and the refund was no longer available—despite no clear or documented notice that doing so would forfeit the refund. This felt misleading and unnecessarily punitive. I also noted in my research that Alliance Management LLC is not accredited with the BBB and has previously failed to respond to at least one filed complaint. While accreditation isn’t required, this pattern—alongside my experience—raises red flags about accountability and transparency. To prospective tenants: I encourage you to do your homework. My experience may not reflect everyone’s, but I feel it’s important to share when housing providers create unnecessary barriers, ignore federal guidance, and offer minimal customer service along the way.

I’m sorry that you felt the need to post these defamatory claims about the company across multiple platforms. While I would prefer to respond in private, you have brought false information about Bay Pointe Apartments and Alliance Management into a public forum, so we are compelled to respond accordingly.

First, we are sorry that you felt a part of our mandatory application process was frustrating. To be clear, Bay Pointe Apartments did not wrongfully deny the ESA letter you provided. If ESA letters do not meet the necessary criteria, they will be denied. You were given multiple opportunities to remedy this, and we even provided you with the required language that needed to be on the letter for the letter to be approved. Per your email to us, your physician refused to include the required language in their letter and there is nothing we can do about that.

Your claim that the company has no intention of complying with federal fair housing laws is simply false. At Bay Pointe Apartments, managed by Alliance Management, we strictly adhere to all Fair Housing Act (FHA) guidelines and HUD regulations. We take immense pride in ensuring that our policies and procedures comply with both federal and state laws. All decisions are made in accordance with these legal requirements, and we stand firmly behind our commitment to fair and lawful management.

If you believe your rights have been violated, we encourage you to file a formal complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/fair_housing_equal_opp/online-complaint

Regarding BBB, if you research apartment communities accredited with BBB you will see that more apartment communities are NOT accredited with BBB than are accredited. This does not mean that any of these companies are not reputable. It simply means they did not go through the process, and pay the fees the BBB charges, to get BBB accredited.

To prospective residents, we invite you to visit Bay Pointe Apartments, as well as any property within our Alliance Management portfolio. We have a strong track record of prioritizing resident concerns. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where residents feel heard and respected. Regarding the $60 monthly charge, we want to clarify that our communities have special agreements with select internet providers offering exceptional 1G fiber internet service. The price for this high-speed internet includes the cost of necessary equipment, which some providers charge extra for. This rate is a fantastic value when you consider the quality of service, speed, and reliability you receive. While some providers may advertise lower rates, please note that the $20/month option would not offer the same level of internet speed or include both internet and TV services.
It's also important to mention that many providers run promotional offers that may only be temporary, and the full cost of reliable internet and TV packages typically ends up being higher.

Experiencia negativa: Just bought a condo and moved from Howard Commons. Although we enjoyed our time there, upon vacating they are trying to charge me 3800.00 to replace the carpet and vinyl I am a TYPE A OCD VIRGO. And extremely upset I spent three days cleaning after the movers left. There were no stains or problems with the vinyl. Apartment was immaculate

In fact, these images are from when the former resident was living here and enjoying Howard Commons, and she initially left a 5-star review. It's important to note that this resident was provided with over 150 photos supporting the charges and did pay the balance in full.

However, if prospective residents have concerns, we invite them to contact us directly. Experiencia fantástica: Great experience at Howard comes. Maintaince fantastic as they answer requests within 24 hrs. Snow plowing great w plows out by 4 am. Howard Comns hosts a diverse community of all ages and backgrounds.Enjoyed the summer farmer mkts ,weekly entertainment at pavilion,ice & roller rentals,splash pad and beer garden . Considering all the events did not experience excessive noise or any safety concerns . Convenient with Walgreens, Kwik mkt, Breadsmith,coffee shop and smoothie venue within 1/2 mile.My favorite was 3 to 5 mile paved walking path that parallel a winding Creek with wildlife. Office staff particularly Betty was knowledgeable, available and friendly.

Experiencia positiva: The maintenance team is amazing. They’ve fixed all of our minor issues within 24-hours. I will say though that while their new 3-bedroom apartments are nice, there’s major design flaws that make it impossible to regulate the temperature in the apartment. The main heat vents are in the ~20 ft tall living room ceiling, so the warm air rises into the upstairs bedroom & staircase and hardly makes its way down to the main living areas. Our heating bill is ~$300+/month because the HVAC unit has to work overtime.. We’d recommend living here if you don’t mind temperature swings or have to worry about regulating a baby’s bedroom temperature, because the units are nice & so are the employees.

Experiencia fantástica: My boyfriend and I moved in a couple months ago to one of their properties in DePere. We had a horrible experience with our previous apartments management and so far, we have had nothing but positive things to say about them. They were incredibly easy to work with and we did have major issues with our fridge upon moving in. It was freezing everything in it and they were so responsive and quick! It was a frustrating ordeal (on both ends, I'm sure), but they made sure to resolve this issue as quickly as they could, and were also kind and communicative. The maintenance men were very nice and took special care to not let my cat out whenever they came. Special thanks to Cassie in the office at Arvada, she is SO kind and patient. She never made me feel like I was being a bother to her and was so prompt with responses. I look forward to continuing to rent with them!

Experiencia negativa: I have been a renter for 8+ years and have a strong credible income. I applied recently and the application fee was $35 a piece totaling $70. Application was not denied with no credit check alert and was given two options. Either pay 4x security deposit or have a co-signer with 720+ covantage credit score and 3x the apartment rent on top of there rent/mortgage. These are very strict guidelines and also appear to not be very equal opportunistic to applicants of such. I hate to give them one star but they should definitely "emphasize" the requirements and criteria before misleading applicants that are looking to apply...it seems to like they scam alot of people of the fees and deny them over and over. Very nice apartments but what's the point of having nice apartments when you are not willing to rent to people because of strict guidelines that probably only meet the 1% of Green Bay. *Update* First of all you didn't check our credit unless it was a soft inquiry. You failed to email us reasons for denial. The Rent at our previously place was half because it isn't a rip off even in this hot rent/housing market. We have text that prove that we explained the situation about "living with our parents" temporary because they live out of state so taking care of the home while we wait on the housing market to buy. Decided to apply at this overpriced apartment because it would accommodate our family. But since they pick and choose who to rent to they don't bother running credit and just deny you based on first glance of the application. I applied with another renting unit that cost more than this place and they approved me for rent because they actually looked over my renter history thats shown on my credit report. I'm glad I'm not gonna waste my time paying 4x the security deposit and then more to live here because based on how they treat and talk to people imagine when you have to move out! I rather keep that for a house down-payment instead. Beware and rent elsewhere because you might not get the 4x security deposit that is required when you move out. If they give you a hard time now imagine when you move.

With all due respect, I need to address some misrepresentations you made in your review. We did run your credit reports, and out of respect for your privacy, I won’t go into the details of those reports. Moreover, you failed to mention that you put in your application that you currently live with your parents and only pay utilities. Additionally, you were applying to rent a very expensive apartment, which, based on your self-reported income, would leave you “rent burdened” according to the US Department of HUD. The only rental history you shared with us was a former apartment that cost half of the one you applied to rent.

I can assure you that we are in the business of renting apartments, not scamming people for application fees. We spend more than $70 to process an application and have no interest in wasting anyone’s time or money. We would be more than happy to rent to you, but your application didn’t reach the level of an unconditional approval. I understand that this isn’t the result you wanted, but we have the right to set our own leasing criteria, and those standards are inclusive enough to allow us to keep our apartments full. To be sure, we most certainly rent to more than just the top 1% of Green Bay.

Additionally, to respond to your concern about “misleading” you about our application process, I would point out that one of the first disclosures we have on our application form, before you fill out any information, is the following: "I agree to the $35 application fee. Security deposit amount required on approved applications can vary based on the content of your application.”

I'm not sure why it would be necessary for us to say anything more than that, however, given your concerns, I’ve updated that disclosure to say the following: “I agree to the $35 application fee. Security deposit amount required on approved applications can vary based on the content of your application. Co-signers may be required. Prior rental history, including length of prior residency, job history, including length of employment, income, credit, collections, criminal history, and landlord references all factor into whether you are approved, the security deposit amount required, and the cosigner requirements. Application fees are non-refundable regardless of the results of your screening and are charged to compensate for the time involved in processing the application as well as the costs of third party reporting.”

Experiencia fantástica: Great company to rent from. They are very on top of everything and go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and comfortable. They have amazing employees that are awesome to work with and they make sure your needs are met. I love that they are open to letting your larger dogs up to 100 pounds to be in these beautiful properties because this is a hard thing to find. Only complaint is that I wish they would make it more of a priority to plant grass in their new construction areas. It's very inconvenient for dog owners. Especially when it raining because the dogs are covered in mud every time you let them out. Overall would highly recommend renting from them to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: We rented with Alliance and had a great experience! They had a private mailroom with lockers for packages, and we never had any issues with deliveries. The maintenance management was always prompt and knowledgable. Mark was a huge help during the 14 months we lived here! We appreciated the good management, as well. We would often get emails of updates and important information. Julie was always quick to respond to any issues or questions. During winter, snow was always cleared quickly and well, and the area was well kept and always clean. We would definitely recommend renting with Alliance!

They gave us a excuse of your credit background wasn't good enough but our credit was 720 and up so it seems they are racist. Then they changed their excuses as we challenge them. They don't like foreign names to live here. They will approve Mike or George etc but won't approve Ahmet or Muhammad or Jorge. This management should be reported to the fair housing committee.

This type of review is extremely hurtful. We work very hard to be ethical landlords that treat everyone fairly. Being accused of racism, without any proof I might add, is retaliatory and unfair. We have a diverse tenant base throughout our portfolio and we do not discriminate. We use a proprietary mathmatical formula that takes into account your credit score, income, length of employment, and length of stay at your previous residence. I would also like to point out that we approved your application. Our application scoring formula can result in an approved application with a standard security deposit, an approved application subject to a deposit equal to 2 months rent, or an approved appliction subject to a co-signer. If you require a co-signer, we also allow you to pay a security deposit equal to 4 months rent instead of getting a cosigner. Your application was accepted subject to a deposit equal to 2 months rent. I would respectfully ask you to remove this review as well as the negative review your wife wrote. I can understand being frustrated and insulted by not having an application approved with a standard deposit, but these reviews that you have left are retaliatory and have an unfair negative effect on our business.

Experiencia negativa: There is no option for no stars so they are getting a pitty star. If you want you family and friends to get fee after fee after fee have them rent here. My girlfriend and I were tents here and upon moving out had been charge fees when we follow all guide lines upon moving out. Also before even getting to move out we found out they had a maintance person enter the building without giving us proper notice. Forcing us to have to rush our cleaning process upon leaving. So again if you want your family and friends to deal with fees and loop wholes go ahead but I WOULD NOT recommend this rental company.

Upon move out you were charged $184.63 for carpet cleaning because there were stains throughout the apartment. We've sent you 13 pictures of your carpeting with significant stains. Your argument is that your legal advisors have told you that stains are considered normal wear and tear. I'm sorry but that is not correct. Stains in the carpeting are not normal wear and tear. Beyond the carpet cleaning you were charged a total of $65 for patching and painting nail holes and replacing damaged stove drip pans. These are also valid charges. I'm sorry you've been given bad advice from your legal advisors but we stand behind these security deposit charges and believe they were fairly assessed. You also mentioned that we would be hearing from your lawyer. We are happy to also provide them the photos of the damage to the apartment when they contact us.

Additionally, I'd like to respond to your comment about maintenance entering without giving proper notice. As it states very clearly in your lease, you are required to be moved out by noon on the last day of your lease. We attempted to enter in the afternoon after your lease had expired to start getting the apartment ready for the next tenant and we found that you had not finished moving out yet. We immediately left and called you to find out when you would be out. We do not need to give notice in that situation because your lease had ended and you were supposed to be moved out already. We let you take the rest of the day to finish moving out your belongings and we didn't charge you for any extra time. I believe we handled this situation correctly as well and I don't really understand why you're unhappy about this.

I would definitely recommend living in one of their complexes; quiet, clean and friendly. Maintenance: Anytime we had a maintenance issue they would be there within 24 hours. Every concern we had was taken seriously and if they couldn't fix an issue in the apartment they would give us a replacement appliance. Communication: When living in one of their apartments they will email you frequently with updates on construction in the complex, reminders and tips. AMAZING.

Experiencia negativa: My boyfriend and I toured one of the apartments for rent. It was great because we agreed on a place we both liked and it "was" affordable. We each had to fill out an application , both with a $25 fee, so $50. Well come to find out you need to make at least 3 times the rent a month, which we do but apparently we don't??? We both have good credit and great rent history. In the ad RENT IS $999 Security $800. That is affordable. Also the ad never said anything about income. So after the apps were filled out and paid for we were told we didn't make enough!!! What!!! We were told we could rent the place if we put down $1,998 for security! That is ridiculous! They basically stole $50 from us. They also checked our credit! Good way to lose points on our good credit scores! I will never recommend these scammers.

I’m sorry that you’re frustrated with our screening process and that you feel we tricked you. Please reach out to the leasing agent you worked with and reference this review response. I’ll have them refund your application fees.

We have three levels of approvals when we process applications that take into account your credit history, rental history, income, and job history. The options are an $800 security deposit, a security deposit equal to 2 times your rent, or a security deposit equal to 4 times your rent. The option you’re offered depends on a combination of all the factors mentioned above. Our policy may change over time but that’s what it is today.

I’ll make a change to the wording on our application form to make it clear that the security deposit amount can vary based on the details of your application. I agree that you should know that’s a possibility before you risk spending the application fee. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.

Experiencia negativa: I have a parent who moved into a brand new building and has only had headaches with this management company beginning the night before move in when we received notification we needed to move using the garage elevator - and moving trucks did not fit in the garage. On the day of move in, the manager was only available via text. She only came on site when multiple problems arose. Apartment was not move in ready - items not in working order, breakers not on, cable and internet not working just to name a few. Multiple calls and texts to the building manager went unanswered or we received a "we're working on it" reply. It was over 2 weeks to get the cable. The worst part is the lack of communication, no one from Alliance Management felt it was important to communicate with the residents as to when the things that didn't work would be in working order. Construction workers on site told the residents that the apartment was not ready for tenants yet and the place certainly looked like a construction zone on move in day and for a week later. I said earlier the communication was the worst part of my experience with this company, and that's not true - the worst part is actually the customer service! Not only was the building manager unresponsive but when she did respond she was snarky and passive-aggressive in her behavior. Completely unprofessional! Update 10/21/2020: My initial review called out lack of communication, responsiveness, and poor customer service skills. Today, 2 YEARS LATER, I receive a response from the owner. I wasn’t expecting a response at all, but certainly not one doubling down saying they “did their best” to communicate - if their best effort = doing nothing then I’d have to give them a 5-star review. I sincerely wish I had a more positive update, but I’ll just let their actual response and the 24-month timeline it took Alliance to even respond, speak for itself. Clearly, communication, responsiveness and service are still issues.

There were certainly some difficulties with some of the vendors and we continued to work hard to correct those issues as they arose. Experiencia negativa: Was asked to leave my apartment because of a minor infringement. They gave me a statement to sign and return to the office. They then added false statements to it and photocopied it with my signature on it looking like I agreed with it because I signed it. Then they sent it to the Housing Assistance Office. Real low lifes and mean and liars. They tried to screw me over but I found a much better place to live where I have been 7 1/2 years. The property I lived at was okay but they were hard to work with. Try to find someplace else to live. Very Bad Management company. Even know how they screwed over one of their employees. BAD!!!

Suzanne - I'm sorry you feel we didn't treat you fairly. It appears you lived at a property we no longer manage. You received a 5 day notice to vacate due to delinquent rent and excessive noise that disturbed your neighbors. You signed the 5 day notice as acknowledgement that you received it, not because you were agreeing to the content. We would never add any additional information to defraud you. We also did not do anything to affect your housing assistance. I have a letter from Housing stating that your assistance was being ended because you moved out of the apartment, not because of anything Alliance did. Once again, I'm sorry you feel unfairly treated. It should be noted that you received your full security deposit back after living in our apartment for three years.

Experiencia fantástica: I lived at Emerald Park Villas for nearly three years and never had a problem. Alliance's communication is great and they typically give advanced notice (24 hours or more) for any maintenance or inspections. Management responds to emails fairly quickly and when my fridge died they had it replaced on the same day. The apartments are a lot nicer than the average ones in town, and the vaulted ceilings in the upper apartments make them feel really spacious. The cubbys on top of most walls are really nice for storing things and the tiling and carpeting appeared new when I moved in. My apartment had a great amount of kitchen space if you like to cook. All of the apartments have a number pad to get in, so you completely avoid the issue of losing your keys or forgetting them after locking the door. I honestly couldn't hear my neighbors through the walls. The apartment complex was generally very quite. USPS has access to a locked mail room which is great, and the cardio equipment is almost always free if you're a runner. The price is fantastic considering what people are asking for duplexes and house rentals these days.

Experiencia fantástica: I've been in one of their apartments for about a year. Couldn't believe I could get over 1000 sq ft and 2 stories for the price. Being a somewhat private person, not having someone above or below me has been great. Don't have to worry about being too loud doing normal things. Being able to step out of my door to my car is huge. Especially on grocery day! Until recently I didn't even have enough stuff to fill my second floor. Storage space is huge. Bathroom is great. As soon as you turn on the shower the water is hot. The a/c is a workhorse and can cool the whole place down in minutes. I'm close to restaurants and near the highway (I commute to work), and anytime I have a question the apt manager onsite responds to me quickly. It's also great not having to snowblow or cut my own grass. I've lived in 2 apts before this that were overpriced and not worth the money. I hope I'm able to say in my unit for years to come.

Experiencia negativa: Applied for an apartment but needed a cosigner because of my credit score. I have a pristine rental history. After they had told me that the deposit was one months rent they said they made a change to the policy after I had already applied and paid for the cosigner application fee. The policy change was that the deposit would now be two months rent. Pretty shady to "change" the policy after the apartment had already need applied for. And if they are like this for the application process no doubt they would be pretty dirty to rent from and would probably find the littlest things to change so that you do not get your security deposit back.

Sara - I'm sorry that you had a bad experience applying for one of our apartments. Our leasing agent gave you the correct information about our policy change. We implemented the change while your application was pending but not yet approved. I'm sorry that you were caught in the middle during this policy change but this was a change we made across our entire portfolio of apartments. I'm going to refund your application fees as a courtesy. Once again, I'm sorry you felt like you were not treated fairly.
