We first told them what we wanted in a house and that we were willing to buy a house that needed work. In fact, we (and by that I really mean me) were open to completely gutting a house and make it our own. My wife preferred a house requiring much less renovation. Then, Paul and Lauren showed us a few homes covering a range of options - from new construction homes to homes with good bones. After that, they got a sense of what was important to us and equally what was not important to us. I was always on Zillow and texting Paul homes I wanted to visit. He knew all the homes and told me what the pictures didn’t show and why we wouldn’t like the house. That saved us so much time, especially since we were living in South Jersey. Eventually, Paul and Lauren found our forever house - one that was under construction. They were so good at negotiating with the builder that the buying process became the easiest part.
