They let me experience how to live alone in peace. no issues at all as a 21 year old entrepreneur. They were respectably flexible, while very clear with policies and procedures. I was very happy during my time at a NWE unit.

There are lots of amenities, great neighbors, and a friendly, helpful staff. We hope that we never have to move because there’s no place like it in Rapid City.

Experiencia fantástica: I love living at Founders Park! The staff have been terrific and my neighbors are the best. It is a comfortable community, mostly young professionals and retired folks. Location is very convenient. Wildlife, birds, and many hikers and bikers at the Hansen-Larsen recreation area to the west and golfers and walkers at the Executive Golf Course and bike path to the south. Competitive rates. All in all, a great place to live.

Experiencia negativa: Car robbery etc, not the safest management company, We lived in their main apartments on Village Drive. Closer to low income housing than we thought, For example in this picture my car was vandalized and there’s no security system within the complex. Decent apartments but not safe in my opinion, Especially for seniors or people newer to the area

Experiencia negativa: Wow. I was a respectful tenant for 4 1/2 years. No damages to the walls or stains on the carpet and yet NWE still managed to take almost my entire deposit for shampooing carpets in a TINY one bedroom apartment and because I missed a few spots cleaning. Not that the economy isn't already tough to live in right now as it is. It should never cost 160 to shampoo carpets or 150 for cleaning. And now after reading other reviews for this company, I will never be renting from them again!

Experiencia negativa: I see on here it says for continued resolution contact Hainesway.... well that's the reason for the complaints is the staffing. And they're always messing up the rent receipts by not having them, or this and that. Rude lady. Does not treat ANYONE with any respect or friendliness. So if you see all the negative remarks it is because it is very true! No nèd to contact Hainesway because that's where the problems stem from.

Experiencia negativa: Very poor understanding of people with disabilities and the struggles they go through just to be in safe, affordable housing. Policy and procedure matters more to NWE than humanity. Still dealing with repercussions of an NWE apartment years later. Just realized today that I never really spoke my mind years ago, and I felt ashamed for not doing so. So today I'm leaving a 1 star review in hopes that it deters future renters. Don't put your money into NWE rentals!

Experiencia negativa: Very gross and inconsiderate of other people. By far the worst management I have ever came across, i tried being civil with this lady and try to negotiate but there was no care on her end what so ever, it’s not very manager like. I feel as if there needs to be immediate actions taken on this place, oh and I also forgot to mention I called this place numerous times before showing up and talking in person, over the phone this lady was super rude, as she hung up on me multiple times, and then continued to tell me that there was nothing they can do, so I show up in person and this lady shows no remorse whatsoever, very terrible customer service, and it wasn’t a one time deal this is over a week period of time, multiple calls and multiple conversations later and still, terrible terrible people, this place needs better workers as soon as possible.

Experiencia negativa: This place has by far has the worst management I have ever seen. Property manager was the most disrespectful person I have ever met, you wanna talk about self centered people this lady is it. I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last option on earth

Experiencia negativa: Asked one question about a property in Rapid. The lady was immediately rude and hung up the phone. Hospitality goes a long way, but whoever they have handling phone calls has zero.

Experiencia negativa: The apartments are not sound proofed very well, and the property managers refuse to address the issue. 2/3 of the most recent property managers have been very rude. The only positive is the location.

Experiencia negativa: Worst management company ever. They over charge don’t care that cars or sheds/storage gets broken into and the landlord is racist. Don’t recommend ever renting from them.

Experiencia negativa: A lot has added up against NWE but currently it’s 95 degrees out and their solution to fixing the broken ac is providing fans. I called in for maintenance at 8;30a.m, it’s been 5.5 and counting. Not ideal for a salon in this heat.

Experiencia negativa: I have a daughter who lives in the civic plaza apartments and the neighbors who reside in the same complex with her have no sense of the respect. The manager has been made aware of the constant noise from her upstairs neighbor and the children who are ALWAYS jumping around!! Early in the morning till late into the night all you hear is kids jumping around. The manager needs to do her/his job and talk to their tenant. If the parents can't do their job, hopefully NWE can do theirs.

Experiencia negativa: Overpriced for what you get. Have had a super loud heater/air conditioner for over a year and was told it's about to go out but they won't replace it until it does. My fiance and kids we're both scared when someone climbed onto our 2nd story deck without giving us notification. When I called Laurie the property manager at Vista Pointe she said the deck isn't technically included in the square footage so they don't have to give notice.... She has also snuck into my apartment when maintenance was changing the filters and I came home asked why she was here because it didn't say anything about an inspection too. She said she was checking washer and dryer I'd tags for rented machines but I own my own and have never rented one so she quickly left. Also called at 440pm and told me they will be showing my apartment twice the next day which if they do show up they will be breaking the 24 hour notice state law.... Would not recommend

My Landlord personally always went out of her way to please and make sure things were done correctly. She was very professional but at the same time such a friendly face always to deal with. Had such a great experience all around. I would recommend NWE to everyone for sure.

Experiencia fantástica: The others leaving reviews must be very hard to please because I've just moved into one of their properties and they were extremely accommodating as far as getting me in earlier than the required move in date. Had one maintenance issue with the thermostat, called it in @ 11:00 am and a technician arrived less than 4 hours later to fix the problem! If you are a glass half empty type of person you could find fault with anyone but I have nothing to say but 5 Stars all the way for Lori the Property Manager the Maintenance Technicians and the office Staff, they run a very tight ship and the quality shows... Thanks Again!!!

Experiencia negativa: I went through United Corporation to rent an apartment and found out that NWE has members from United Corporation on their board. I would suggest NWE reevaluate those members based on their lack of professionalism and lack of upkeep on the property. This property was disgusting. Mold in bathroom rotting the floor and bullet holes in Windows.

Experiencia positiva: We have had no major problems here.... the staff is there to help when you need something and to answer any questions we may have..the only problem we have had was it took 3 months to get a new AC in our apartment...the people here at parkview plaza apartments are nice and to themselves....parking sucks though!!

Experiencia negativa: After eight months of living at Civic Plaza Apartments (an NWE managed location), I've had my share of problems and have broken lease to get out. Things started off "ok", when I moved in last year. The residence was not cleaned before moving in, the storage unit was locked by the previous renter, etc... but "oh well" these things happen. I shrugged it off, as being a student and worker I don't have much free around-the-house time. October when my roof started leaking, is where the fun began. Despite my myriad calls and emails which went either unnoticed, forgotten or brushed aside, my roof continued to leak. Having paid each month, I informed NWE that I would be withholding rent until the leaks were fixed. Having been told in January that the leaks were fixed, I paid rent foolishly, only to find I was lied to. In February, the hot water was broken (in the on position) in my bathroom. For over a week of calling to request it fixed (or even having the water turned of so I could fix it) got me no where. Eventually a guy from Action Mechanical came by to do it (but only because of a noise complaint from the people below us who thought it was a cycling toilet), and it took him multiple trips because NWE wouldn't answer his calls either. Well, long story slightly shorter, I moved out, had to break the lease and am fighting to get back my money for the rent I shouldn't have paid, mold testing due to the running hot water I had to pay for as NWE refused to have it done (came back positive for stachybotrys, by the way). This company can't be bothered to interact with their customers. Perhaps if I was a drug dealer and needed this sort of separation between us, this would be ideal. Renters beware: there are nearly no laws in SD to protect you, and NWE is one of the biggest management companies here.
