Fantastic experience: I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sekura Kruse. She’s been so helpful so far. She’s very communicative and fast with her responses. It’s so hard to find a realtor that’s so helpful and quick. I highly recommend her!!

Negative experience: Edit after some personal items got stolen from my garage: We moved in, the gate that Thania said worked, does not. The ceiling is leaking, the balcony floor is cracking into tons of small pieces. I was also told by Thania that the security cameras worked and tenant of the unit next door told us that their realtor said they didn’t. We and all of the other tenants have made requests for months to have things fixed and nothing has changed. I will not be renting from them again and I cannot recommend Thania as a realtor. She clearly did not do any research on this house before showing it to us. I had a great experience with my rental experience with Thania. She was super knowledgeable about the property and her communication was excellent.

Negative experience: Edit after 4 months and several hours later: We were robbed! They came through the gate they told us was secure and automatic (it's broken, shocker) and stole from our garage. Do what you will with this info. Edit after 4 months: The below still stands. We’ve had several repair people come look at our rental unit to remedy the things mentioned below and the only thing they repaired was the dryer and that our POC started responding but that’s no help if they do nothing. One vendor even mentioned how the frame of our door was uneven or collapsing and that’s why it’s so difficult to slide open/close. Original review: Our realtor Thania was excellent and really sold us on the place but it was downhill from there. We submitted service requests almost 5 weeks ago with no response, submitted both through the portal and directly through email and we’ve been completely ignored. Our POC has been MIA. The house was not move in ready. The floors were so dirty, my socks were pitch black after walking around the house. The water filter in our fridge needed to be replaced immediately after move in. The bathrooms were also filthy, there’s so much calcification around the faucets it’s almost concerning. We had a leak in our ceiling during the rain that never got addressed so it will likely happen again the next time it rains. Sliding doors are very difficult to open/close. The “automated” gate” that they advertised to us has been broken for months according to the other tenants. The dryer makes this screeching noise that is so incredibly loud all of our surrounding neighbors can hear it so we have to use it during the day as to not disturb anyone at night. If you’re moving into a place with them, just be aware that they’re not going to address your issues and you’re gonna have to pay out of pocket for a livable situation.

Negative experience: I now have to edit my review, the unit I was rented had multiple broken fixtures and was not cleaned before I moved in. In addition, I found out the parking I was assigned by my lease was promised to another tenant and no remedy for this has since been found. I would have not rented this unit knowing this would be the parking situation. Appallingly misleading. Unless they offer a resolution I’d highly discourage using myunits if you need your lease to be legally fulfilled. So far, I’m waiting on a resolution. Original review with five stars: Thania is incredibly punctual, knowledgeable, and worked hard to make sure we found a good rental! She gave me several options, we put an offer into one but it ended up having just closed but the experience with her help pushed me over the edge to just close a different unit she was representing in the same building. Working with her is a breeze. Couldn’t imagine a better agent. Best in LA!

Fantastic experience: Moving across country is never an easy task. If we could give Kevin 10 stars we would do so without hesitation. Since our first encounter, he has been extremely responsive, thorough in answering questions and helpful with the transition to the area. MyUnits application and approval process has been easy & prices for the quality of rentals are a breath of fresh air in an extremely competitive and often overpriced rental market.

And claimed all applications “ run through her” and gave me all misinformation about the application process. Oh, without forgetting the application process took 5 days to process. A complete waste of time.

Fantastic experience: I just signed a new lease for an echo park property, which is brand new and well equipped with appliances and central control unit. The tenant portal is very easy to use and the landlord and maintenance team seem to be extremely responsive. I would not have made my choice with this property if it wasn’t for Rebecca, who was extremely attentive and transparent with the leasing process and unit walk through. Fantastic experience: This review is completely unsolicited, but I had to take a moment to sing MyUnits' praises, specifically Nick and Tracy! Nick is hands down the best property manager I’ve ever worked with. He’s prompt, attentive, and incredibly efficient. From the pre move-in inspection, to post-move-in maintenance and tenant concerns, he always follows through quickly, resolving everything with a patient and understanding demeanor. Knowing he's managing the property manager genuinely puts me at ease. Working with Tracy on the leasing side was amazing! Tracy stepped in during a period of internal turnover and kept the entire application process seamless. For example, there were lease terms and other items discussed with the previous agent that Tracy ensured the owners followed through with. She was always kind, positive, communicative, and efficient from start to finish. Like another reviewer mentioned, the owner had a few follow-up questions during my application process, and I’m forever appreciative of Tracy for advocating on my behalf when relaying my info and ultimately helping me secure my ideal home. Although MyUnits works on behalf of the property owners, the entire experience feels like they’re working ‘with’ you and in your corner. Both the leasing and property management office go above and beyond to not only get you into your dream home but make sure you continue to feel at home once there! Thank you both!!

She was the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth—an absolute sweetheart who made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Her dedication and friendly approach truly stood out. Negative experience: Do NOT trust Allison as your leasing agent. Our experience with her was a nightmare from the start, and if I could give zero stars, I would. 1. She told us the manager approved a specific rental rate. We paid for and submitted our applications based on that agreement. Then, she came back saying they were increasing the rent by $100 — after everything was submitted. It took several stressful days to get the price back to what we were originally promised. Totally unprofessional bait-and-switch. 2. During our tour, the pool was filthy — full of trash, algae, and cloudy green water. When we asked about it, she swore “it’s never like this.” That was a lie. We later spoke to tenants who said it’s always like that. 3. She pointed to a trashed unit below ours and told us it was being renovated and that no one lived there — also a lie. We met the actual residents, who’ve lived there for over 15 years. 4. She promised she would personally address the stray cat issue. There are cats shitting and pissing all over the property. Nothing has changed. That promise? Useless. 5. On move-in day, the unit was disgusting. There were poop stains in the toilet, pubic hairs on the counters, and the place clearly hadn’t been cleaned. A window was broken. There was no hot water. We notified her 10 days before about move-in concerns — and she ignored us for five straight days leading up to move-in. 6. And where was she during all this? She left the country — literally went to Paris — right when we were supposed to be moving in and needing her help. No heads up. No handoff to another contact. 7. After we moved in with no hot water, she completely ghosted us. Ignored every call and text for days while we were trying to get basic living conditions addressed. 8. In desperation, we called MyUnits, the company listed as managing the property. Their snotty receptionist condescendingly told us that Elizabeth Maddox, the owner and lead broker, would get back to us. Surprise: she never did. We were lied to and ghosted yet again. This was truly the worst leasing experience we’ve ever had. Allison is dishonest and unreliable, and the company backing her is no better. Absolutely zero accountability, follow-through, or professionalism. Avoid this agent and this company at all costs.

Negative experience: Wish I could leave 0 stars. First, my roommates and I apply for a house under 2-4 Unit Specialists. I believe it was with the agent Kevin. He starts asking us very weird/invasive questions about our finances and jobs when we have given him all the needed paper work (and we know it was good). We of course, don't get the property after he's shown how much doubt he has in us. We try for another duplex under 2-4 Unit specialists and are now given Dominique as our leasing agent. Unsure what the problem was at first, it's now a complete 180 and she says our application is amazing and that we should be approved quickly even tho we submitted the same numbers... very interesting. But now I realize this may have been because Dominique was incompetent? She completely misled us throughout the move in/application process. Not only did she delay our move in date weeks just for the house to still not have gas, running water in the showers, a working washer/dryer/dishwasher, or just being clean in general.... she also misinterpreted our lease agreement and misled us to believe we would be paying $400 less than what our actual rent would be. They didn't tell us our rental property was in the midst of being sold as we were moving in, nothing. And through all of the dishonesty, there has been no attempt to compensate us for all of their mistakes. We were much to understanding and this was a great learning lesson. Would never work with this company after this. Honestly thinking of ways they can held accountable than google reviews.
