She is extremely thorough, consistently keeps the property clean, and makes sure everything is well maintained and running smoothly. Repairs and servicing are handled promptly, and it’s obvious she takes pride in keeping the building looking good and functioning properly. She is always responsive, dependable, and hardworking, and she genuinely cares about the residents and the property. Frankly, she does far more than what most managers do and is clearly underappreciated for the level of work she puts in. The Madison runs as well as it does because of her. She deserves serious recognition.

Fantastic experience: Where to start? Our HOA of over 500 homes chose First Service (FSR) many years ago. We have stayed with them due to the excellent service. Specifically, their property managers. PMs change often. FSR has always provided quality PMs over the years. We have been blessed to have Julie Sharrod overseeing our properties for a few years. She is remarkable! Whether dealing with violations, maintenance or the whiney, entitled and obnoxious residents, she is a miracle worker. She is very responsive and professional, even with the most annoying residents. As a Board Member, we could fire her and FSR- but that's not happening. I am not confident we could replace her with someone better or even a better PM company. FSR for the WIN! Julie deserves a raise!

Fantastic experience: My review is for our property manager - Jill Rossiter. I am on the board of our HOA. Jill took over a couple of years ago in the middle of a project that had turned into a mess. We had a lot of turn overs before she took over managing our HOA and we needed someone to tackle a lot of moving parts This "messy" project required a lot of attention to detail,, some of them fairly technical. It also required working with a vendor who would not respond after he was called out on his poor work Jill worked extremely hard to understand what was happening and how to help find solutions. She put in a lot of extra time helping our board get back on track. She often thinks ahead of issues we need to be aware of and reaches out to board members to help smooth things out before the board meeting making our meetings more efficient. I am very grateful to have her as our property manager.

Our borrower was purchasing a property at Madison at Town Center, and as anyone in the industry knows, getting HOA approvals can often be a nightmare. What is normally a drawn-out, frustrating process became seamless and efficient because of his efforts. My introduction to this wonderful management company was through Jennifer Chavez the community Manager for a new residential development community,'Deerlake Ranch' in Chatsworth CA. Jenny was the consummate professional, staying in constant communication with me to get the job competed. The exceptional service did not end there as she referred me to her colleague Julie Sherrod with whom I worked with for the Serenata HOA community in Moorpark. Excellence beyond one's expectations permeates throughout this company as there was no drop off of in top class professionalism and service between these two lovely ladies.

Fantastic experience: These past couple years, the company has changed greatly. Not sure if it was because our community complained about the handling of our account til they finally changed our rep. The rep we had before was so unprofessional and was sending checks back in wrong envelopes with other peoples information on it and everything. Our new rep, Karlin Van Rossen, who has been with us for a while, has been the most reliable person I have experienced with the company. She quickly gathers info as soon as there's a complaint and follows up with repairs, gives ideas and inputs for community events, meetings, quotes and much more. Thank you Karlin for all your help!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday, my husband and I went to First Service Residential office. We met with Jill Rossiter regarding our development entry gate sticker for the cars. My sticker was not working, and I was having to use my cell phone to always enter our development. She replaced it and now its working. While there, she helped us with another HOA problem we had. I must say it was very nice meeting with Jill Rossiter. She was very pleasant, friendly and accommodating. We thank her so much, and appreciate all of her help.

Fantastic experience: I would like to share my experience with the Stevenson Ranch HOA. It’s the first time I’ve done an improvement through First Service Residential, and I have to say it went smoothly. I had some questions on my application and Jill Rossiter was very thorough in answering them. Once the application was submitted, it was processed promptly. Upon approval, of course I needed Jill’s input on something and she emailed me back soon thereafter with a response. She is very pleasant to work with and a diligent community manager.

Fantastic experience: I live in Stevenson Ranch, whose HOA is managed by FirstService Residential. We all hear horror stories about HOAs. Maybe that's true of some, but it's certainly not true here. FirstService's property manager for Stevenson Ranch is Julie Sherrod. She must work 80 hours a week! It's a big HOA, but whenever I've had a question or needed something, Julie has responded immediately. Julie regularly sends out emails coverage local issues. I really feel like she cares about us. I know that this community is better because of Julie and FirstService.

Fantastic experience: Karlin VanRossen is without a doubt the best HOA manager that our community ever had and probably will ever have. I cannot emphasize enough how awesome she is, so much in fact that I truly believe that she cares more about our community than some of the actual owners that live here. She is incredibly responsive, attention to detail, follows through with every service order or question until it's completed, manages HOA meetings like the pro that she is, and does all this with a very positive attitude. You could not ask for a better HOA community manager; she is absolutely the Gold or Platinum standard and I don't believe that we'll ever have someone better than her. And this isn't just coming from me, lots of residents in our community agree with my assessment; we are truly lucky to have her assigned to us.

Negative experience: After living here for 6 years and paying my HOA dues every month on time I had to call and get clarification on a situation. They are paving our streets where I live and have shut off quadrants of parking for 3 days. We have a massive parking lot at the clubhouse that is vacant 98% of the time. I asked if we were allowed to park there during this street work period of 3 days and was told "unfortunately not". UNBELIEVABLE that we now have to flood the neighboring streets outside our tract when this lot sits vacant. WHERE IS THE LOGIC? I'm sure I will get on some "list" for this rant but I don't care

Jill Rossiter was able to turn around my application in 2 business days. I was expecting weeks based on past experiences with other HOAs. Negative experience: This company has the worst customer service that I’ve ever been subjected to. They manage our property through an HOA, and they have been so unhelpful and dismissive of me. I’m continually ignored by their staff and treated very poorly. If you have the choice, I’d recommend going to literally any other company.

Negative experience: They somehow had their negative reviews removed. Do not be fooled, this HOA is among the worst around. Avoid moving into their communities as they provide zero service to homeowners and always check your billing statements for errors.

Fantastic experience: JENNIFER CHAVEZ has been extremely attentive to all requests that our family has submitted into our HOA. All emails are responded within a 24/36 hour timeframe. She has always been extremely professional during our experience. Very good experience!

Fantastic experience: We moved onto FivePoint Valencia on August 1, 2023 and we have a Master HOA with FirstService Residential. We had a question that was quite an emotive one to do with one of the community buildings. Being new, we were confused about the interconnectivity between FivePoint, FirstService Residential, our second HOA and the builder of our home—Tri Pointe as it pertained to our question(s). Elizabeth Ward and Lyndsie Dellefield were so kind; so patient and so highly-responsive to our questions as new residents. We have complete peace of mind that we will be the receiptants of this five star service for many years to come. Raving Fans already of FirstService Residential, so incredibly well-represented by Elizabeth and Lyndsie. Virtual (double) fist bump with an explosion (like the Cool Kids do).

Fantastic experience: FirstService Residential has excellent customer service. I had the pleasure of working with my Assistant Community Manager, Jill Rossiter, regarding a fallen fence/posts on my back hill. She was super responsive, very nice and consistently kept me updated throughout the extended repair process. If I could give her 10 stars, I would. She made the whole experience a positive one.
