Fantastic experience: Working with Barack from staybk was a pleasure! He was able to help us to successfully apply for an apartment with no brokers fee! Barak was diligent about answering all our question whenever we had them. After Barak showed us a tour of an apartment we immediately put the $1000 deposit to hold our spot in line during the application process. After submitting all the document required for the application, we were approved in a couple of days. The $1000 deposit was put towards our first month of rent! Negative experience: No one answers the phone here. There’s a realtor that has a listing posted and they don’t even answer their phone or texts. I’ve been trying for the last 4 days. Smh

Negative experience: We applied for a unit that required a “good faith deposit”, were informed after we paid the deposit that the apartment was already in contract with another tenant. It’s been 4 days of requesting our deposit back and they have refused to give us back our money. We have reached out to the broker, Barry Shor, countless times and he has given us the runaround. We reached out directly to the office via phone and weren’t able to connect with anyone, we were sent to voicemail. After emailing them, we were assured that we would have our deposit returned by the end of the day — no surprise, that was another lie. These folks are deceitful and will refuse to give you your money back. Be careful sending them anything.

Negative experience: Would not recommend. Took way too long and eventually lost it to something crazy. Would have hoped the broker actually represented us. Recommended a third party guarantor that didn’t even work that just added extra time and eventually lost us the apartment. Offer no security that we would or even might get the apartment and overall it just felt like we were being lead on. We had to hand over precious information with no security that it would be treated with care or that our information was safe. The whole time it just felt like a scam.

Negative experience: As a single mother with a 9 month old baby boy , I’m beyond disappointed on how this company treats people when it comes to income . Just because I’m using a voucher it doesn’t give the brokers the right for them to refuse me to see the unit or apply . I’m honestly frustrated and sad because no one wants to help me find a home . By law I have the right to use my voucher as an income when it comes to apply for housing. This is embarrassing for this company to receive 4 stars and above but yet they service deserve a 1 star or none .

Fantastic experience: My lease didn't end up working out - completely my own issue - and the team was extremely understanding and reasonable in letting me terminate the contract. Zina specifically in the office was so nice to work with and made a stressful experience so much easier to deal with. They seem like they genuinely want their clients to be happy, even if it means not moving forward with one of their rentals.

Negative experience: They illegally charge a $250 application fee. Edit: They responded claiming they did not charge me a $250 application fee… but they did. They claim it’s an ‘administrative fee’ which is obviously intentionally trying to circumvent the law by labeling the fee differently. I suspect they’d lose that case in court.

Fantastic experience: Apartment hunting in NYC can be very stressful, however, working with Eli was a breath of a fresh air! Our application process went fast and smooth. Thank you Eli!

Negative experience: We had a pretty miserable time with StayBK. Unfortunately, it was the only management company showing the apartment we wanted so we didn’t have much choice. The broker, Mason, was helpful at first but then became incredibly aggressive with us as we waited three weeks from putting down the deposit to signing the lease, even though we were forced to pay an extortionate brokers fee. We didn’t end up signing the lease until two days before move in despite putting a deposit down weeks in advance. We are happy with the apartment but there are basic absences such as no buzzer, mailbox, no smoke alarms, no lock on our door which were things we weren’t necessarily looking out for on the tour but which we expected the management company to have covered for us. We’re about three weeks into the rental and only a few of these things have been dealt with. In general, I would never trust StayBK with my money again and hopefully I won’t be forced to!

Fantastic experience: I saw an apt on streeteasy, emailed yana from staybk and she got back to me within 15 min. I was a ale to view the apt I wanted within an hour, submit an application. the administration team took it from there, with such pleasant fast and professional process. Signed a lease two days later! Yana was kind enough to check on me and taking me to the apt right after my lease sign. Thank you staybk for making it nice and smooth. I definitely recommend to anyone using you guys.

Negative experience: If you are looking to get an apt fast, this company isn't it. They take over 2 weeks to inform you. They charge a 1k fee to hold the apt but will still pass it off to someone and they pull your credit report using an old scoring system. I would have to agree with some reviews below that this company makes things very frustrating and heightens anxiety. But the front desk Laura communicates well and quickly and Eric the agent that showed the apt was very nice. But I wouldn't recommend this company. Overall didn't enjoy and found a better place to go with.

Fantastic experience: I've rented in Brooklyn 3 times prior, and it was always a difficult experience. Stolen application fees, having to fight for weeks for a deposit to be returned, many, many shady brokers....not so with this group. Working with StayBK was genuinely, the most pleasant apartment hunting experience I've ever had. My broker, Odel, was nothing short of amazing. She showed me an apartment, made sure I got the application right away....and when the management company of the building decided to pull out, even though I qualified and paid a deposit, she promised me she would find me a place ASAP. Now, I had been through this before, and jaded as I was, I started my search again on my own. But Odel meant what she said. Throughout the entire process she was warm, communicative, apologetic...just an overall pleasure. Odel worked overtime to find me a new place IMMEDIATELY, exactly as she promised. She found me an apartment that fit my needs even better than my initial choice. I was approved quickly for my desired move-in date. There was a slight error on the lease handed to me and sure enough, Julia at admin fixed it up right away. Lease signed, and boom. All finished. When I say I've never had such an easy time renting in Brooklyn, I mean it. Next time a friend of mine needs to move, they are definitely getting Odel's number! Special thanks again to Odel, Julia, and the rest of StayBK. Thank you all so much for making what is normally an ordeal, an extremely easy and stress free process!

Negative experience: What would've otherwise been a flawless transaction; instead turned into an anxiety riddled stressful situation - due to poor communication. The apartment itself is beautiful and Roni was helpful. Things, however fell apart with Yulia, the leasing agent who completely pulled a NO-SHOW on the day of the lease signing. She was completely unresponsive to text and phone calls, and took no accountability for her actions. We did finally square away two days later, but that incident was very frustrating to say the least.

His attention to detail really helped ease my anxiety and made everything go so much smoother. Renting in NYC can be a bit of a doozy but he made it so much easier and really had my back through everything. Thank you Rony!

Negative experience: I tried to rent a an apartment managed by one of their broker, guy named Roi Boblil, and what I got was absolutely unprofessional and nonresponsive practice when requesting a tour of the property. The broker stood me up for an entire hour because he "put the wrong date down." I gave him a second chance and set up another date, and on that day I was on my way to tour the apartment when I got the last-minute email that the he "isn't available anymore, sorry." He asked if I were free the next day, but never emailed back the time and his work number so we can contact. What a waste of time.

Negative experience: UPDATE 7.21: Mr. Levitin did email and call me shortly after the review and an email. He did apologize for not giving us his full attention and complete showing, and offered to provide another showing. I did appreciate the quick follow up and was satisfied with the apology, however, I am sharing what I experienced below for context of what objectively happened. 7.20 Account: Mr. Eli Levitin showed up to the appointment late and without apologizing. He made no effort to be friendly to make up for his tardiness. He then opened the apartment door, got on his phone, and didn't say a word to us, not even "let me know if you have any questions". He refused to offer any eye contact and offered 2 word answers to our questions. He did not show us any amenities or talk about anything in detail. This was unlike any realtor, let alone any professional who cares about their job, I've experienced. I am a Black man whose family has owned property in Brooklyn since the 40s, and I've never seen such an overt effort to unwelcome a customer and under sell a property. What Mr. Levitin has showed us today is that StayBK is willing to employ and defend individuals who have had multiple independent attestations to acts of housing discrimination and for wanton unprofessionalism. StayBK's must be held liable for employees that act discriminately, and they must be transparent about their corrective and proactive efforts to address this pattern with Mr. Levitin.

Fantastic experience: Great experience working with Roi of StayBK. While we did not end up ultimately signing a lease through StayBK, Roi was responsive and professional throughout the whole process. He was upfront and transparent, and never made us feel like he was pressuring us into signing an apartment or anything. Great selection of apartments to choose from, some exclusive to StayBK. Strongly recommend working with Roi.

Negative experience: Your real estate agent Eli Levitin discriminated against me & my wife because we are of color/ brown. I make 6 figures annually as a Doctor with an 800 credit score & I got the short end of stick, a dog would’ve got better treatment than me! I need to get in touch with eyewitness news and the BBB. Mr. Eli Levitin was unwelcoming extremely rude, & very unprofessional. NYC is diverse with different cultures, nationalities and beliefs! Jews are running the real estate, it’s apparent that they’ve dominated it and it’s in their control that’s great to see as this is like the game of monopoly and they are buy up all the properties but prejudicing is unacceptable can’t build properties in diverse neighborhoods & only expect 1 type of renter which we know is “white” it’s Crown Heights, Bed stuy, Clinton hill! It was OURS before YOURS! If we go back to the good old days we wouldn’t be here...
