Negative experience: Wholly unprofessional. My friend and I actually went to their office in person. The 30-something receptionist behind a teller window (similar to liquor shops in questionable neighborhoods) handed me a paper with a QR code to fill out an online application. It was far too burdensome to ask a few questions about the apartment my friend sought to rent. My friend filled out the online application and never received a call back. How do they even do business beats me…

Fantastic experience: Matt from Werba helped us with our apartment search. While we ultimately rented an apartment we found online, Matt still made a big impression on us. He took the time to meet with us and really understand our needs. Super nice guy and an excellent communicator. Would recommend him to anyone looking for an apartment in the Ridgewood area.

Fantastic experience: I found a great garage with the help of Ahmed Duraliev. I contacted Ahmed on very short notice and he showed me the garage late in the evening at 9:30 P.M. Ahmed was very helpful and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. My father also previously found a garage with the help of Ahmed and we consider him to be a great and trustful family friend. It was a fantastic experience all around, I highly recommend Ahmed!

Negative experience: I was looking to rent apartment and I went to the office, I was advised that there is no agent available in the office and the receptionist told me to call their number. I left few messages and no one called me yet

Negative experience: I've dealt with racist,gaslighting remarks when I have inquiries about services pertaining to my apartment. I recently moved out 4/14/23 and they refuse to give me back my security deposit. "Peter" told me specifically that "I'm not getting anything" back!verbatim

Fantastic experience: I rented an apartment this summer from Matt at Werba. From the first time we met in the office I felt a bit stress lift off of my shoulders because I knew we were in the right hands. After only a few weeks, my roommate and I got a great apartment that was larger than anticipated and under our budget. Matt was very responsive the whole time, always answered my questions with promptness regardless of what hour it was, and and we’re really happy with the spot we’ve got. If you’re looking to live in and around Ridgewood, you’d be silly not to start your search with Werba.

Fantastic experience: This was one of the easiest apartment hunts I've had in years. Matt took care of everything and did not rest until every last detail was squared away. He was very communicative and available at near all hours of the day, we've met during evenings, weekends, you name it. Matt will work around your schedule and take care of everything until you're satisfied with your soon to be home.

Negative experience: Unfortunately my experience with Werba was not good. I have requested a tour on Streeteasy for the apartment. And I have received a call at 10:30 pm from Matt. It felt a bit pushy and aggresive, but I believed that he was trying to help. Next day I saw the apartment. Sonia and Matt were nice, I know their intentions are good. But the process was pushy and not that transparent. Because in NY apartment hunt can be so intense, it's easy to miss certain things while checking out the unit. It initially felt nice. I didn't want to waste time so I applied. Then I got approved. I went to apartment with checks to sign and get the key. I wanted to take my time and read the contract. But Matt was being pushy again and saying "we should sign it, it's all default usual stuff." This was a red flag but I trusted him and I signed. On 1st day of the month came to place, and after spending an hour, I realized there were problems; the unit is above a restaurant, one of the rooms is shaking a lot because of ventilation. Both sides of the unit has windows; one is the front the other one is the back of the restaurant. Pretty much impossible to open windows because of the smell. Then I understood why was that rush about... When I told about these to landlord she said she cant do anything about them, and also pointed out that previous tenants also complaint about smell. Of course nobody told me before. But she was nice enough to give me half of the deposit after my notice So 1st day I gave my 30 day notice, didn't spend a single night. I told to Matt about the issues, he said he will look for alternative units, maybe he wont take brokers fee for the next apartment (if anything comes up) but nothing happened. I was ghosted. Lost quite a lot of money. No any kind of compensation. In short; I take responsibility, I should have been more cautious. I understand it is a business. But I also feel that I have been taken advantage by Werba, because of trust and naiveness. Would I work with them again ? No . Would I recommend them to others ? No Edit after reply ; I did not get recommendations "just a few blocks away" literally different areas far away. I have found a place and wouldn't be interested in working together. As I mentioned, the attitude is not sincere, very salesy and political just like my experience through out the process. I prefer to work with people who are more genuine and truthful.

Fantastic experience: I just leased an apartment from a Real Estate agent named Matt and I had one of the most thoughtful and caring experiences I have ever had while working with anyone. Matt was hosting an open house apartment to a large group but because of Covid, there was a long line. He started showing this place at about 7:30 and even though the end time to see it was 9, he stayed much later, until about 10:30 to make sure everyone who was there waiting was able to see the apartment. Every time I spoke to Matt, he was extremely clear on his directions, incredibly respectful and very flexible. If I called or left a message, he would always respond within the hour. This hard working guy would come into work on the weekend, even though he was off that day, just for me. He really went above and beyond. He works fast and the faster you will work with him, the faster he will work with you. I 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a new home. I am so thankful to have had Matt!!! Matt really sets the bar high for other Real Estate Agents and as a 30 year veteran in the Real Estate agency, it shows. If you want a great experience while looking for a new place, Matt is your guy!!!

Fantastic experience: We went to Werba Realty almost three months ago just to talk to a realtor, see if anything was available and to discuss how we wanted the apt and everything. Matt helped and i honestly cannot recommend him enough. not only he showed us two apt the same day , but he went out of the way to help us and to make everything so much easier for us. After we decided which of the apartaments we wanted , he scheduled an appoinment with the managment and we got approved the same day. In just one week we found an apt, we signed the lease and we moved. All thank to Werba Realty team and especially to Matt. I cannot thank you enough for your help. So far the most professional realty out there. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to rent/buy a house/apt /or any space , Werba Realty is where you should go.

Negative experience: I totally agree with the opinions of people who put only 1 star. It used to be much better!!! This year when the heating season started, the management keeps playing games and there is no heat in the apartments most of the times. The residents from the lower floors get somewhat luckier than people who live on the top ones. We are often left to freeze. On one hand, the owners keep raising our monthly rent, but on the other hand they fail to provide basic rights and needs for their tenants. Our building used to be MUCH more cleaner and secure by far. NOT anymore....

Fantastic experience: I have to say, we had a great experience finding an apartment, at a very short time frame in the Ridgewood/Queens area. We needed a convenient location for the subway, stores, and a safe neighborhood. A great help, professional and courteous was provided to us by the realtor, Matt Duraliev. He was available to us during the weekend, and late evening hours to show us couple of apartments, until we found one we finally liked. I recommend Verba realty, and especially the salesperson Matt, for the professional service offered, and for finding apartments faster, than any other locations we tried in the area. many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Werba helped me get a garage for my car and it was a very quick and pleasant process. Matt a realtor who works for them was very nice and even came to show me the garages available in the pouring rain and snow. I highly recommend using them if you need to find a garage or a house.

Negative experience: They are not trustworthy. Make sure you have everything in writing and only communicate with them via email (which they tried to claim was impossible). They raised my rent after someone I called the police due to a fellow that was illegally using the garage attached to my building to “repair” cars. Werba allowed him to use this space for the purpose of setting s car alarm off over and over, even though that is illegal and torture for the tenants. That person threatened that he was going to “tell Mike (at Werba) and get you in big trouble”.he was right. They raised my rent by 30% in a rent stabilized building, which is probably illegal too. Cheap apartments, but you get what you pay for. Have had my mail stolen from within the building and they didn’t call any of my references, if that gives you some idea of the quality of this operation. You won’t know who is living in the building with you, and some of them are very unfriendly, mainly the ones that are related to the people who work at Werba and will therefore never leave.

In a city jungle built on concrete, where it is so hard to find a trusting soul, let alone a real estate agency that can find you “a home”, Team Werba Realty (with its personal touch) really lives up to its promise. Fantastic experience: This was recommended to me by a friend who was very happy with an apartment they found him a few years ago. I must say, they took the hassle out of finding me a place to move. I called and talked with Maria Strbik, went to the office and within an hour I was standing in the exact apartment I was looking for. They made the approval interview quick and easy and I was approved and signed the lease 2 days later. They are very professional and bend over backwards to get you what you need. He was attentive and helpful, and I went from phone call expressing my interest to keys to my new place in hand very quickly. Negative experience: Denies tenants heat! I had to call 311 on them so many times. Getting something fixed takes over 2 weeks. They are scum and evil. The receptionist has no idea what she is doing ever. Neither does she put in your request when you ask her politely. I would never recommend them.

Fantastic experience: We probably spent 2 months looking for a place in Bushwick and Ridgewood. Went through Craigslist, had multiple meetings with people from Rapid, had a deal fall through with an independent... Out of the blue I saw Werba and called. We spoke with Maria Strbik and she told us that she had just the right place. We were highly skeptical. The first place she showed us is the place we've been in for 2 years. New renovation, clean, and a great price. Werba's office is right next door and they are also our property management, so I see her every month when I pay rent. The company is very professional and honest. Background: I felt compelled to write this review after Maria baked us one of the best chocolate walnut cakes I've ever had. It was a long standing joke about her Hungarian baking background. She's a good one.

Negative experience: Be very careful with these people. They fix the apartments only when apartment is empty. I used to live on the building @65-05 for 4 years and they never fix my apartment. I had an old stove that needed to be change and if I wanted a new one, they had to increase the rent. I told them to forget it because I wasn't going to pay for something that at the end wasn't mine. always had issues with the next door neighbor because she heard everything that was going on in my apartment. at the end I decided to move because I couldn't take much longer the abuse. now it turns out that my security money they cannot find it. even with me providing proof from the bank that Glenbay realty cashed the check they don't want to give me my money back. well I guess werba realty will have to explain that to the NY attorney general. PLEASE BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!

Negative experience: Horrible horrible people and scammers too!!!!! We rented out a store right off Myrtle Ave and after one year they wanted us to pay the income tax for the year before we even opened there! This went on for the next year too. Their contract was screwed beyond recognition. They are crooks, simple as that. I had lawyers look at the contract and they said that we were basically screwed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
