Fantastic experience: Honestly one of the best property management experiences I’ve had. We were tenants for several years, and the recent move-out process was seamless. The key turnover and refund process were entirely stress-free. Huge shoutout to Jordan, who was fantastic to work with. They even helped us retrieve and forward a package we accidentally shipped to our old address after we left. Professional, responsive, and highly recommended.

Negative experience: The customer service at this place was absolutely terrible. The agent was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She didn’t even bother to greet us. The first thing she said was, “You have two minutes, I need to leave,” as she yelled from the house. I asked if there was anyone else who could help us, but she said she was the only one available and she had a lot of showings scheduled. This place definitely needs to hire more people

Fantastic experience: CVPM has done a fantastic job managing our property over the past several years. They find the right balance of meeting both my needs and the tenants' needs. I've been very happy with communication, attention to detail, and overall work ethic of Shaun and his team.

Negative experience: There is a reason all the high star reviews come from property owners, not tenants. While they were responsive while we lived in the property (for the most part. Not always)the second we leave they pull shady practices and over-charge (based on the average in the area) for repairs (many of which were normal wear and tear after living there for four years) their move out instructions said to not complete. Then they refuse to send an itemized repair invoice as required by law. I he informed of their breach, the first said it was on the owner, but the refused to provide any contact information for the owner and the just stopped responding. Will be filing a complaint with the appropriate agencies. I expected more integrity from the owners who are veterans, but that I guess they don’t actually have “Core Values”

Negative experience: I scheduled a tour of a property with Shaun and I was not able to make it on time due to an accident on the highway. He was understanding and just asked to reschedule for another time. I rescheduled with Anais and she was very rude over the phone. She said I wasted their time and she is never late no matter what. She told me to be at the property by 12. If I wasn’t there by 12:15 she would cancel the appointment. I showed up to the property at 11:28am to wait. I parked in the unmarked parking spots because it is an apartment so residents have reserved parking spots. I didn’t know what vehicle she drove or what apartment to go to so I just waited in an obvious spot so I would be noticed. I waited for a call or text saying she was here. At exactly 12:15 she canceled my appointment. I called and asked why she canceled my appointment because I’ve been here waiting the entire time. Anais told me she was showing a different person the same apartment at the same time and she left the light on for me so I was supposed to just come in. That makes no sense considering I’ve never been to this place before and how would I just show up and walk in if I don’t have a key or know where to go. I saw plenty of other residents out and about around the area but I never saw anyone else come in or out of the place. Shaun let me know when he arrived so I would know to meet him outside. Anais said I wasted her time twice but I let Shaun know I’d be late and he just had me reschedule and this time I was here in place well before the appointment time. I have worked with over 20 realtors in my life and I’ve never been treated like this before. I was looking forward to working with this company but she ruined it. What kind of realtor tells you to show up to a property they are showing you and let yourself in because they will be there to show someone else the property and then not even tell you they are here at the property then cancel your appointment and tell you it’s your fault. My wife is pregnant and we were just standing by our car with our other child just waiting for over 45 minutes just to be told I should’ve just came in. This company prides itself on taking care of veterans but I am Active Duty and I was not treated as a military service member should have been treated. She didn’t care about me or my wife and children at all Not the kind of person I want to be working with.

Fantastic experience: Core Value has been fantastic to work with. They provide quick responses for service and clear communication for inspection and updates. Everyone on the team is easy to speak with and cares about the tenants in the properties they manage.

Fantastic experience: Core Value Property Management is certainly a high quality company. They've effectively handled all our management matters for a couple properties. I'm particularly pleased in the manner in which they handle conflict and large projects. They are user friendly and always make themselves available to have important conversations. Again, very happy with the team and do highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have used CVPM to manage my home for a few years now. I’ve also used them to rent a home for a short period of time. Being on both ends was a great experience. I really didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING as a renter or tenant. I have lived in a separate country even and felt completely comfortable letting CVPM handle everything that came up with my house. Anytime I’ve had an issue or question, they’re quick to respond, but typically everything is available for me to view via the online portal. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I contracted with Shaun at CVPM to manage my house when I was out-of-state for three years. I was very pleased with his service and that he takes his company's name to heart. When a bigger maintenance action needed to be addressed, as the situation allowed, he would seek my preference for how to proceed because he knew I was coming back to live in this house. I was grateful that CVPM handled all the communications with the tenant, especially as problems occasionally arose.

I had an issue with a tenant that was not paying their rent and reached out to CVPM to possibly retain their services. While they could not help directly with the eviction process the owner provided me with exceptional information on the ways I could as an owner conduct an independent background check for a tenant. This information was extremely as I was able to quickly identify some concerns. Fantastic experience: Highly recommend working with Shaun and CVPM - I can't say enough about how swiftly, seamlessly and professional their service has been since signing on. I was previously and albeit slowly preparing my property in Bowie to become a rental property, and was unhappy with a lot of the contract work being done, so I was looking for a great management service to take the reins. I was introduced to Shaun through my significant other, and ever since Shaun and CVPM took over managing my rental property it was an effortless process - beyond paperwork and some of the admin responsibilities, it was a breeze working with him. He brings a depth of knowledge with him, and he was a great advisor along the process as well. We talked about the repairs that I would like to still complete, adding in his take along the way, and leveraged his contractor network to complete some beautiful and quality work - never cutting corners to speed up the process. After signing the agreement, tenants were secured within a couple weeks, as well as a competitive rent rate commensurate with the hot market right now. All in all, I'm very pleased with choosing Shaun and CVPM. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I’ve been in the military now for 12 years which means I’ve rented a LOT of houses, and worked with a lot of property managers. Shaun and Torie are the best, most efficient, and most helpful property managers I’ve been in contact with thus far. When I decided to rent out my own townhouse, I had no idea what I was getting into. Shaun took his time to walk me through every single step along the way. He spoke to me about what was best for my house and me, read through my HOA documents with me, taught me about the market, and broke everything down to teach me about what we were doing instead of just telling me what he was going to do as my property manager. Negative experience: They ask for unreasonable amount of information to even view a property in person and give poor responses in terms of apartment maintenance. Tenantcloud is a horrible product that they chose to use as well. The whole experience felt like I was being sold a used car.

Fantastic experience: When my husband and I were preparing to list our house for rent earlier this year we interviewed a number of agencies, from quite large to small. A broad range of commission and fees. The one that stood out was CVPM. Shawn struck us a man of strong ethics and a hard worker and we decided despite the other agencies sizes; we strongly felt he would be the right choice because of his commitment to doing the right thing by us and future tenants. Fast forward to this insane market of 2021 and we decided we should sell after we signed. Shawn, not only was understanding but recommended some great contractors for repairs and the stellar realtor who sold our home. This man is gold and helped us every step of the way into and sadly out of being his clients. If you're looking for a place to rent or a trustworthy company to manage your rental, Core Value Property Management will not disappoint.

Fantastic experience: Shaun is the best - simple answer. When I was stressed to the max and coordinating a move across country, he took care of everything. Anything my property needed, he handled. He took an incredible load off my shoulders and gave me the confidence that he could handle anything that needed to be done, even when I grossly overestimated what I could accomplish on my own. He’s always quick (most times instantly) to respond to emails or phone calls, and he really makes you feel like you’re his only client, even though you know he’s got plenty of others he takes care of the exact same way. They quickly aided me in getting renters in my home when a buyer lost their job 2 days before house closing during the pandemic. Within the same day of reaching out I was able to get in contact with Mr. Leway and discuss details and the process of pursuing our current residence. From the credit check, to the explanation of responsibilities in occupation of the property, to receiving the keys to our new home, I felt my best interest was in mind and I’m currently happy with the arrangement. Would absolutely recommend it if you have the opportunity to go through them.

Fantastic experience: What’s important to me when looking for a property management company? I want to forget about the stress of dealing with managing my property, which is why I would hire a property manager. I want my property to be managed by someone that cares about my best interest while making sure my tenant is comfortable and has everything they need. I want to keep my tenants’ long term. Should an issue arise, I want to hear about it and want to know what my property manager did to fix the issue. “I want to set it and forget it”, as that old Ronco rotisserie commercial would say. I don’t want the tenant calling me because the heat isn’t working, and they can’t get a hold of the property management company. Unfortunately, this has happened to me in the past with an out of state property. Shaun Leway, the owner of Core Value Property Management, is a Master Sergeant in the US Air force. Shaun has well developed leadership skills as well as being very meticulous. He is dependable and has integrity. Shaun is retiring this year from the Air Force after serving for 20 years. I think that speaks for itself in terms of dedication and success. I like to surround myself with positive, successful people. The type of friends you have in your inner circle significantly define your success or failure. After getting to know Shaun, his core values stand out to me. It’s clear to see he is successful.
