Negative experience: Tengan cuidado esta compañía tiene edificios con agua contaminación yo pase días semanas con malestar pensaba q era por el tiempo pero no es el agua esta contaminada en el edificio del 8730 orion ave el agua no es bebible aun tenido filtro nose puede tomar ni para cocinar yo pase grabe por eso vario tiempo con náuseas malestar dstomagsl fiebre diarrea cuidado si van o viven aquí asesoren de usar solo agua embotellada yo de esa usaba por problemas compre filtro y empese. Usar y es ay donde me di cuenta que esa agua es contaminada y de mala experiencia que tube y aun sigo en recuperación voy a ser los reportes ala ciudad ya que en ese edificios viven niños y personas adultas q son las. Qmas se pueden enfermar y correr riesgo de morir cuidado cuidado estaré pendiente q no borren este mensaje

Negative experience: If you’re thinking of moving to 8730 Orion Ave in North Hills, think twice. The management here is terrible. Maria, the on-site manager, plays favorites and doesn’t treat all tenants fairly. When you have an issue, she never reports it to the main office. But if she has a problem with you, expect a notice taped to your door the very next day. I personally reported that we had roaches and that our door wasn’t working properly — nothing was ever done until I called the main office myself. And good luck getting help from the girl at the front desk — her only response to everything is “I have to talk to my supervisor.” If you can’t answer questions or help tenants, why are you the one answering the phones? This place has serious management issues, and it makes living here frustrating and stressful.

Fantastic experience: When I was house hunting I came across some properties managed by Weiss. Although I didn't end up residing in any of their units, I was really impressed by their staff. Very responsive and easy to communicate with. Definitely would consider leasing with them in the future.

Negative experience: Was a tenant at 856 S Catalina St. Although my experience wasn’t too bad, I felt completely disrespected by the onsite manager there after he tried tricking me into paying a years worth of increased rent (literally only totaled about $50 something) which I don’t doubt was per instructions of upper management. Goes to show how cheap they are as I was on a month to month basis at that point so it makes no sense to charge a years worth upfront. The unit I rented was a corner unit on the second floor. Overall good condition inside, but I advise anyone considering renting here to NOT get a unit towards the back alley as the dumpster trucks will become annoying to deal with in terms of loudness and HORRIBLE smell. Ironically enough I was charged $25 from my security deposit for “pet odor” when in reality my unit was right above the dumpster so of course it’s going to smell! Even the hallways alone stink! Also a lot of police activity during my time there and at one point the building was on lockdown. Also encountered a homeless man sleeping in the hallway right in front of my door and also there is a homeless drugged out man who consistently hangs around the back alley and has a tendency to shout loudly which would also get annoying. Would not rent with this property management again and I have no doubt you can find better options in ktown at the same price point.

Negative experience: Regarding the property at 1129 N. Madison Ave., Los Angeles, CA, 90029 I was a tenant under this property for about 2 years. It was fine until they started doing renovation in the unit next to me without any notice. I would wake up to banging on the wall, drilling, etc. I complained to the manager and the owner of the building. They told me that it would be done in about two weeks from when I contacted them. That renovation went on for about 4 months. :) The next thing you know they start doing construction outside as well. So while there is renovation going on next door, there is stucco going on right outside my window. The construction workers would start at 7AM sometimes. Sometimes they would be on site before they started working, just talking and yelling, right outside the window. At some point they started jack hammering and even put up scaffolding. It didn't seem like the construction workers they hired were legit either. Back when it was raining super heavy, they forgot to seal the wall on the outside after doing the stucco. So the water started leaking in the bathroom eventually leading to mold growth. I communicated this problem to both the manager and the owner and they didn't even respond right away. While all this was going on, the rent went up twice. Don't bother renting from any properties owned by these people. They're just money hungry and don't care about their tenants. Slumlords.

Negative experience: worst experience as tenant living under their property. management wasn't responsive to our emails and property manager was not good with communication either. we had mold issues and building was leaking from heavy rain all over the place and they did not address to fix anything after we asked for multiple times over a month. thank me later and avoid!

Negative experience: Regarding the property, 826 S Catalina St, LA, CA 90005: The apartment manager has been accused of hiring unlicensed repair workers (known as "Alpha and Omega Construction" with blue truck). There are two parking lots, one near the alleyway and one near the entrance. No double-parking unless you want a sticky residue from the label states "No parking" on your car window. There is only one washer and one dryer, which is very inconvenient for all tenants, especially since there is always one tenant who hogs the laundry room for the entire day. It is not safe to ship packages to this location because there is no intercom or keypad to allow delivery drivers access to the building. Some delivery drivers have told me that they either leave packages with whoever happens to be opening the gate when they leave, or simply toss them over the gate, where they are visible to the public street. The most inconvenient times are when the manager has repair work done and needs to randomly enter tenants' units to check any leaks, with or without permission. The popcorn ceilings in the apartment are old and falling apart. One piece even fell off and landed on my face and food. This is a serious safety hazard, especially for the old and Asian tenants who have lived in the apartment for many years. The only thing the manager did well at, cleaning the apartment and installing cameras.

Negative experience: They let their tenants get away with anything. They never handle tenant complaints properly.

Negative experience: Corrupt. Slum lords. All the pictures were taken within the last 2 weeks on different days/nights. Despite keeping it clean there is a horrible roach infestation - they come through the walls, outlets and drains. I’ve spent hundreds on traps, poison, cleaning products etc over the course of 3 years. I’ve reported this to the owner, the health dept and the housing dept. The owner does not use professional pest control service when they have come to spray. They’ve also attempted of accusing me of not reporting it “in time”. Which is obviously them gaslighting me. The tenants below me are hoarders - the owner refuses to tent the building to properly treat it for roaches. Tenting is the only way to remove an infestation but they refuse and attempt to turn it around on the tenants. All of this is illegal yet they’re still operating business and collecting checks! They make me sick- literally (have so many respiratory issues due to the roaches!). I’ve talked with multiple tenants and they’ve all stated they too have roaches and complain and it’s never properly addressed. They hide the evidence prior to the inspections so they continually get away with illegally renting uninhabitable dwellings. There is mold in my ceiling + walls due to a leak that was never properly fixed. The basement pics show the leak that occurs weekly. The walls are rotting due to the severe moisture exposure and mold.

Fantastic experience: MAX SHAW KRIS K ROSEMARY GOMEZ **Beware of above names as they seem to be using multiple accounts to be writing the same review for legitimacy** I have friends that have lived/ still live in this apartment 826 S Catalina St LA CA 90005, and have never heard/ saw whatever "horror" she mentioned on my frequent visits over. The manager has been very delightful or else I don't think my friend would have lived here for 10+ years. I've actually saw her a few times on my visits and she was nothing but a pleasant surprise.

Negative experience: Attention @Chimichonga Sisters and other potential renters of the apartment complex at 826 S Catalina St Los Angeles 90005, I'm glad to hear that your friends have had a positive experience at this complex. But, I advise you to think twice before signing a lease with this complex. I have been a tenant here for more than a decade, and I have faced many challenges and difficulties with the manager. This building is not well-maintained, and there have been a number of safety concerns. The manager made me and my family feel unwelcome in the building. For example, the manager was less responsive to our apartment issues than to those of other tenants, and made comments to my family and guests that made them feel uncomfortable. Also, I do notice the manager and her favored tenant hangout. But, I'm not sure what other special privileges the manager provides to her favored tenant. But, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I have tried to resolve these problems with the manager, but she has been uncooperative and rude. When my friend said "Hi", the manager made a threatening face expression and was unresponsive before slamming the door in his face while making eye contact. I'm writing this review to inform you of the manager's poor behavior. I also want to note that @Chimichonga Sisters only complimented the manager’s professionalism and the complex’s cleanliness in their review, but they omitted to mention the unpleasant experiences that many tenants have had here. Their review is inaccurate and does not represent the reality of living in this complex. I am also curious, where were @Chimichonga Sisters and her friend (tenant) during the soft-story construction while replacing the 2nd Floor's with wood flooring without padding? Did you experience any of the same noise problems that I have? Please do yourself a favor and look for another complex in the area. There are many other complexes that have managers who respect and care for ALL tenants.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been living in this apartment for more than 10 years and I have never had any issues with the management nor the manager. The management is wonderful as they have always been attentive and really stay on top of fixing any flaws I notice within the apartment. Not to mention, my apartment manager is literally THE best manager in the world. Not only does she get her work done, but she is also the kindest and sweetest person ever. Fantastic experience: I lived at this apartment for over 2 years and I have no complaints. The manager here is very professional and really cares about her tenants living environment. Every time I bump into her she always asks if i have any issues. Every time i report an issue with my apartment the manager makes sure it gets resolved in a timely manner. The hallway always smells really good and is always clean. I recently moved out because i wanted a bigger apartment but if i had a choice i would definitely move back because the manager is amazing and professional. Fantastic experience: My friend lives in this complex. I was compelled to write this review because every time I visit with my toddler, the manager is so welcoming and kind. She really reminds me of my mom. The buildings always clean and well guarded so I feel safe bringing her with me. I actually have 2 friends that live in this complex but in different units and they make me want to move in here too. I was searching for this complex to check for availability and saw the shocking negative review below. My friends never have any problems with contacting the manager and also mention how sweet she is. Fantastic experience: My apartment (8949 Langdon, North Hills) manager Claudia she’s cool people handles her business something is wrong messed up she gets it handled u have the maintenance people there right away she keeps u posted what day time maintenance people r coming good communication with her all the time never had a problem how she manages the apartment she keeps it clean all the time and problem free. Positive experience: Rosa, the manager, had been really helpful with our transfer from one apartment building owned by this company to another. She’d been really responsive to texts and calls from day one. She would accommodate requests even after office hours. Queries are being responded to clearly and professionally. Hoping our stay in this new unit for months or years to come will be a great one.

Negative experience: Weiss Investment Properties paticular location in 15560 Orange Ave, Paramount, CA 90723 provides the worst living conditions offered by the on-site manager MC. She is constantly harassing the tenants with meaningless complaint and discriminates. She has no life and is constantly viewing the surveillance as her sources of entertainment and for evidence for false accusations. Thanks to her harassment, my mother developed anxiety. The manager can bring out the worst in you (evil you did not know you even have). Trust me, your health and peace of mind is not worth cheap rent.
