Negative experience: Kathi Horvath hasn't responded in 2years or more. Last I heard she was on vacation. Gutter issues, roofing still not completed, roofing nail in a tire, rain drainage has always been an issue. Our fireplace passed inspection, but we did that. Our gutters FAIL! Serious lack of communication is disappointing.
Negative experience: Raise your monthly HOA dues and take away services provided before with less dues
Negative experience: I lived in Condos they managed for 19 years. Clearly it wasn't too bad to stay that long, but the upkeep on the property has gone downhill fast but the condo fees rise yearly!! Luckily I sold it and don't have to deal with them any longer.
Negative experience: I have lived her since 1999 and have never missed a payment but due to a GLOBAL PANDEMIC that was out of my control I have fallen behind and they would rather foreclose on me than help. Totally disgusted!
Negative experience: Horrible experience, they never answer the phones and are extremely unhelpful. Difficult to get in contact with anyone and once you do they give you excuses and tell you that they are very busy. Or they will claim to call you back and never do. If you have a problem expect it to never be fixed.
Negative experience: Why would they let bulk pick up park a trailer in a designated no parking zone which happens to be behind my parking spaces? I called on Wed and was told it would be gone by Friday...the trailer is still sitting there. My guest should not have to park on the street when I have an extra parking space. My guest could not get into my space due to this trailer being there for 2+ days. I called them Friday and left a message and did not hear back. I even sent a message on their website and have not heard back.
Fantastic experience: I had a problem today with with my condo fee schedule. So I call the office and a delightful young lady, Gena Holcomb answered and after a back and forth conversion, we both figured out how correct the situation. It was a pleasure to talk to Gena. In figuring out my program, she would not let anything get in her way in correcting the problem. Thank you again Gena for the professional and delightful help today.
Fantastic experience: Our Condominium Association works with Kimberly Wolford of Case Bowen. She is very receptive to our needs and always prompt to reply. She is always professional and friendly in her communication with us. She is well-versed in property management, with a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise. She is wonderful to work with!!
Fantastic experience: After working with other management companies, I cannot say enough positive things about Case Bowen. It really comes down to our HOA contact, Kimberly Wolford. She is too notch. Very responsive, empathetic, always offering advice and experience. She always responds to emails, helps out the homeowners, and is a wealth of knowledge for our board. Kudos to Ms Wolford!!!
Fantastic experience: I love these people here
Fantastic experience: This is my condo association. Nothing exciting.
Fantastic experience: Kimberly Wolford was able to do far more than anyone else has done for me since I've lived in VAC. She, along with Kevin Dollenmeyer, one of our boardmembers, got part of my problem revolved quickly. Still waiting on final remedy, but at least now I know someone cares! Thank you both!
Fantastic experience: My family has had good experiences with this company at our community. Kimberly Wolford, in particular, has been easy to reach and responds quickly. It’s been good to have them here!
Negative experience: Very nonresponsive.
Fantastic experience: Kim Wolford always has a high sense of urgency in resolving issues related to my condo in Grove City. When you combine that with highly professional and timely results that equals OUTSTANDING.
Fantastic experience: Whenever I reach out to Kimberly with Case Bowen I get a response almost immediately. I always appreciate their quick response and professionalism!
Fantastic experience: As a first time home owner, Kimberly Wolford made our experience very easy handling our first HOA. Kimberly is very responsive and very professional, I was very impressed by how fast she responded to emails and calls. After scheduling a landscaping company to come in we got approval from Kimberly in under 48 hours.
Fantastic experience: They fixed the problem right away!
Negative experience: They have manage my condos Bethel Commons for a number of years and each year it gets worst. We have had a number of managers and this last one the worst.
Fantastic experience: Ms. Wolford has responded quickly to my inquiries and has provided prompt service. Refreshing!
Negative experience: This company is horrific and conduct themselves in an appalling manner. I have had terrible experiences with them. We own are unit, and have for a long time, so are unfortunately tied to them, otherwise would never give them our business after having dealt with them. It took four months for them to approve and repair a sewer pipe leak in my basement. The sewage was continuously leaking during this period and damaged my hot water tank, which I was not able to repair until they fixed the leak. So, I had no hot water for months waiting for their repair which they communicated nothing about unless I followed up aggressively. Maggots developed which I could not clean well without hot water, as well as the sewage itself. The leak affected my neighbors as well, who have small children and were concerned about the toxicity of the sewage. This did not cause the association to handle the matter any faster, despite relaying this to them. The leak also damaged items I had in storage in my basement, and my basement still smells like sewage. Once they approved the repair, they disputed me on as many charges as possible. They had to enter through my kitchen and they recognized their responsibility to replace the cabinets that were removed so they could assess the pipe, but refused to reimburse for a sink and faucet installation after all the damages I had already incurred, because if it failed upon reinstallation, it was old. This is their reasoning, despite it not aligning with their condo declarations which are absurdly laid out as is. This is a small snippet of the ordeal, which is still ongoing, as I've had to file a complaint with the BBB in an attempt to get them to respond. They are terrible at communicating and wholly negligent, and do not conduct themselves in a professional whatsoever, despite repeated complaints and requests. They did not hesitate to ignore and attempt to diminish me throughout this process despite being a long time tenant. They do not value their tenants whatsoever, and I am AMAZED they are still in business. They truly conduct themselves in an appalling manner. A little decency would have gone a long way to resolve any issues I've had with them, but they refuse to extend that despite my repeated communications regarding their neglect and the nature of the repair. I have experienced this awful service with more than just the property manager, Robin Bollinger, but every other staff member I have communicated with as well. The Board seems holds themselves to such high esteem they do not involve themselves with, or respond to, tenant inquires or matters, even when communicated to them by the property manager. They consider themselves beyond reproach and are corrupt in their dealings. They behave immune to consequence and any consideration of their tenants and their welfare. I love the neighborhood, neighbors, and unit for the most part. It is a tremendous shame the whole association (from property managers to receptionists, and especially "the Board") puts forth no effort to conduct itself in a professional manner whatsoever. They charge high condo fees given the area, expect tenants to pay on time and keep up with all their association rules (like not growing vegetables in your front garden area, flowers only,) and if it comes time for them do to a repair, which is very rare as almost everything is expected to be maintained by the tenant, they will dispute, dodge, and neglect their duties to the core, and will ignore you and attempt to humiliate you throughout the process, as they did with me.
Fantastic experience: Our community has had The Case Bowen Company since 2012 and I can say that the difference between The Case Bowen Company and our previous company is like night and day. Our Community Association Manager Kathi Horvath has brought quality vendors to our community which has made a world of difference to our nearly 50 year old property. Kathi Horvath has attempted to make some of the impossible happen and has always been professional in her manner and speech. We have contractors and vendors who make us feel as though our property is the most important. The addition of the portal has been quite the win-win for our community. The Case Bowen Company's portal has made it easy for all of us to be able to put work orders in, check our account status, look to see where our architectural approval process is and just information in general. I would like to thank the staff and a special thanks to Kathi Horvath for taking such good care of our community!!!
Fantastic experience: I am changing this review because Kimberly Wolford called me and we hashed things out. It has been brought to my attention that my Landlord has been doing an awful job at providing information on how to go about things and just standard procedures. Much of my hold-up was due to him not registering us as tenants with the association. Kimberly was so kind and understanding. I had lost my patience due to my Landlord's negligence, and some of his lack of communication made me wrongly push blame onto Kimberly as a result of my frustration. She was extremely nice and supportive. I appreciated her phone call and am glad we are now on the same page!
Fantastic experience: We are a new client of Case Bowen and have been exceedingly pleased with Kimberly Wolford who is our community association manager. She is a dedicated professional who responds promptly to our issues and concerns; and, more importantly, anticipates our needs by staging conversations and solutions so that Case Bowen's support and our community's operational needs mesh seamlessly. Having been a member of a number of HOA boards over the years, I have been tremendously impressed with Ms. Wolford, her skills and talents.
Fantastic experience: The Case Bowen Company has been such a positive experience to manage our condominium building. They respond extremely quickly and their communication is outstanding!!
Negative experience: Pay $ 360 a month. These fees have gone up drastically since we purchased the condo three years at $245 a month. No pool, no clubhouse. Security system goes off daily for no reason and maintenance won’t deal with it other than to say we need new smoke detectors. We’ve done that with no change to alarm going off. It’s their alarm. There is no recourse.
Fantastic experience: I have been very impressed with the professional service and responsiveness of the team at Case Bowen. I am new to the area and while getting adjusted Kimberly Wolford has been awesome throughout the entire process. She always replies promptly and is very knowledgeable. Definitely an enjoyable experience!
Negative experience: They don’t answer phone call. Very very poor customer service .
Negative experience: Management never answers phone calls. Can't get a hold of anyone. I've tried leaving voicemails, and emails, nothing. Feral cat problem in the complex has been going on and management isn't doing anything about it. My neighbors keep feeding the feral cats and is even putting cat food on MY front porch. Yes, not just in front of their door, but also on my own front porch. I caught them on tape doing it!!! Neighbors have boxes and blankets set outside for cats to sleep in and is really trashy! I can't believe I'm paying $240/month and have to deal with this problem since day 1. Cats poop everywhere. Flies everywhere! A couple times I have slipped on cat poop in the parking lot when getting out of my car. Don't even bother about washing your car when you live here because cats will sleep and step all over your car. Cats also cry at night and good luck trying to get some sleep. My dog has been very sick and has been bit by one of these cats!! I pay my fees every month on time, but management can't do their jobs!!
Negative experience: I have been a resident of McNeil Farms since 1997. Initially, I was quite happy with the community and the property management; however, as with most things, the situation has taken a turn for the worst. The condominiums have extremely thin walls that become problematic with noisy inconsiderate neighbors. I submitted a formal complaint at the beginning of February and have been unsuccessful at getting an answer as to the status of said complaint. Multiple calls to Jody Rhine and Jim Case have gone unreturned; however, the condo fees have increased steadily since I’ve been here. The lack of customer service and professionalism is unfortunate and has been echoed numerous times throughout other reviews. Sadly, those reviews are accurate.
Fantastic experience: They are ok
Negative experience: Horrible! I’ve been in a community the manage for a month and they have already messed up my HOA fees. They refuse to work with me, a condo owner, after they (Case Bowen) made a mistake on my account and now wants me to pay double the December 2019 HOA fee when it was paid at the beginning of the month. I will be looking into them getting removed as the property management company of Broadway Condominium.
Negative experience: The owner portal is terrible, if you want payments on time fix it!
Fantastic experience: We recently returned to our Broadway Condo from Fl. and were SO pleased with all the progress made in our facilities...newly paved entrance, sealed streets, irrigation being worked on, etc. Also, the new on line communication feature is GREAT. The Boococks
Fantastic experience: Great people and a great company! I have been dealing with them for a couple of years and have always found them to be helpful, professional and solutions oriented. Totally recommend!!
Fantastic experience: Kimberly Wolford & Christie Johnston have made it a very smooth transition taking the place of Rich & Kevin. Great job by the both of them!!
Fantastic experience: My experiences with Case Bowen have always been positive. The staff has been knowledgeable, helpful, and polite in every one of our interactions. Because of this service and reputation they have been one of the pre-eminent property management firms in Central Ohio for the past 25 years.
Fantastic experience: Great management company. They lookout for the community's they manage with professional property managers.
Negative experience: No cleaning is done since 2years in 2nd and 3rd floors at craughwell village apartments. It’s true and you can inspect. It has a very bad unmaintained gym, you never see anyone in it because it's not friendly gym. Some people in this Craughwell village Community leaves their dogs without bet and without controlling them, people like me who have hives and allergies of dogs doesn’t like it. Three of my friends vacated for different reasons, one of them is it’s not a bright place in night to stay. And there was a homeless person staying in clubhouse. HOA FEE IS HIGH 360$ FOR UN-MAINTAINED & UNCLEANED COMMUNITY. Even the owners doesn’t have access to clubhouse but we pay fee for it LOL... Please improve the services. Get feedback or survey monkey from owners. And I'm not sure why they keep lights ON during day time. Besides they don't have street light.
Negative experience: Trust the poor rating, it has been well earned. As a unit owner, board member, and attorney, my opinion of Case Bowen is poor. The only redeeming feature is their head of accounting; Karen is excellent, but she can't make up for all of the deficiencies from the association manager and executive management. When offered the opportunity to address my concerns, I received only a defense of their actions, and not an effort to remedy the deficiencies. Then they promptly quit instead of trying to improve the relationship. As a board member, I expected my workload to decrease and unit owner satisfaction to increase, but it certainly didn't feel like there was any improvement in either of these areas.
Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars to this company as it’s that terrible. I live in Watkins Glen condos and the lack of services is a complete joke. Our rate was just increased $30/month (now making our HOA $225/MONTH). It’s now almost 2pm and no one is able to leave the house because our community isn’t plowed. They may say this is the only time, but this is EVERY time. Our roof started leaking in July and we put in a maintenance ticket. No one contacted us in any way. We followed up in September with another ticket because by that time, we now have mold in our home! Another month went by without anything done so I called them. They said that they would discuss our case with the board and get back with us within the week. 3 months later...still have not heard a word. We don’t have much landscape, no pool, and no clubhouse. Yes, we moved into the community knowing that and were fine with that BUT didn’t expect to be under an HOA who didn’t care about their communities. I am terrified to find out what the future will bring with us living here. The value in this community is going to decrease tremendously with an HOA like them. You guys truly haven’t done a service to anyone. I would NEVER live in a community where Case Bowen is HOA. Beware!
Negative experience: Bad property management company
Negative experience: Unprofessional!
Fantastic experience: I'm surprised by these reviews! I've never had anything but a positive experience at Dorset Glen or with Stacia from Case Bowen. All of my questions are always answered quickly and thoroughly, our community is taken well care of and kept safe and beautiful. The grass is never too long and the snow is never too deep - meticulously maintained! Love Case Bowen and have recommended to many renters looking to buy.
Negative experience: They charge insanely high fees just to "PROCESS" your payment online. Nearly $10 for 3 business days or up to over $23 to process the same day!! What a scam - I can't remember the last time ANY company charged me a fee to give them my money. Shameful. I'm going to encourage our HOA to stop using this shady company.
Negative experience: I really hate to do this, but Kinsale Village/ Village Communities & The Case Bowen Company are the WORST when it comes to condos and having your home built. This is what I have had to deal with for the past few months, and I am at my wits end, and a lawsuit is forth coming. Found these huge holes in my siding were damaging and rusting out my garage. Told the association board and property manager in JANUARY about the issue (the 15th to be exact). They told me they would have ProTech come out and look at the issue, and have repaired-- what they did was have the president of the board come fill in the holes with some foam filler, which is a joke at this point. I repaired my garage cabling from rusting out due to the water damage (even though they won't admit it) Feb 2nd, and it broke AGAIN on Feb 16th! 14 DAYS LATER DUE TO THE SAME RUST AND WATER DAMAGE. I have had to pay for the repair every time which is BS!!!! I am in around $200 now in repairs and diagnostics. Two weeks and my cable rusted out again due to the water getting in and they won't repair-- the response from the property manager is "Yes, I did receive it. The gap between the trim and the foundation was filled. The Association is responsible for the building. You will need to take care of the garage door repair." Are you KIDDING ME?! Do not buy from them, do NOT attempt to do business with them. They take my $235 per month in condo dues which I pay in advance EVERY month but don't want to repair my condo properly. They will fix people's windows, storm drains, and every other issue, but refuse to give my issue the time and attention it needs. This sounds a LOT like discrimination. I appreciate everyone's support that has helped so far and if anyone has any other advice please feel free to PM me and SHARE this post! Additional Issues Encountered in less than 3 years: 1. Dishwasher routed to wrong side of sink; causing back up due to not being routed to garbage disposal (we don't even have an air gap!!) 2. AC has had to be re routed EVERY year since move in! "Something" was not done correctly and I run out charge every September! 3. Electrical wiring was done incorrectly, had to completely have re routed 4. Two gaping holes in garage causing door failure, rusting, water damage, and more! IN RESPONSE TO CASE BOWEN'S RESPONSE: Although you are not directly the builder, you ARE the main bridge in communication between residents and the board. When you go 10-14 DAYS WITHOUT RESPONSE to unit owners, you are also at fault. Throwing the association board under the bus that YOU are supposed to work with is not a good look either. I have documentation of the entire series of events over the last month and a half, I have received a total of TWO responses to my emails of photos, damage, questions, and requests. As a management company, that is UNACCEPTABLE. Your lack in communication is DIRECTLY responsible for the time lapse that has caused further damage and rust to my garage and its components. Had your "Management company" communicated what was going on to myself and to the board thoroughly, (which was not because both Case Bowen & the Assoc are failing to acknowledge I have replaced cabling TWICE within 14 days), I would not have further damage to my garage and unit, which is just running up the bill to this day, time, and hour as we are STILL getting rain. As you all can see, Case Bowen keeps trying to pass the hot potato, its not going to work!
Negative experience: They don't answer calls, don't return voicemails, don't manage the property outside of collecting money and failing to send out accurate financial statements (lots of money missing... Shocker...). Not a good experience. I highly discourage use of this organization
Negative experience: Routinely ignores customer calls and emails, leaves premesis in a damaged and dangerous state. Charges obscenely high recurring condo fees where you get pothole ridden streets in return. At least they provide sone lawn service but it'd sure be nice if they'd fix the streets, dangerous loose steps, chipped paint on doors, and the damages their roof workers caused. You know, returning calls or emails would be nice too.
Fantastic experience: Things are never perfect, regardless of who your Management Company is, but Case Bowen goes the extra mile to rectify any problems we may be incurring. I believe they are a very knowledgeable and professional company who has saved us quite a bit of money throughout the many years we have been associated and have no desire to change. Property Managers have little control over things that affect contractors’ schedules, regardless of how much they stay on top of it, and to state the worst customer service ever is ridiculous.
Fantastic experience: I'm proud to say and dispute other offensive reviews concerning Case Bowen, that the customer service has been exemplary. Kathi Horvath in particular has always taken and responded to my questions and concerns seriously, and in a timely manner. The attention to the quality of workmanship of the contractors assigned, has also been great. From landscaping to the full-time on site crews, I say kudos to everyone. From start to finish our community is better off due to all of your hard work. Thank you, Lorraine Chase
Fantastic experience: I have called them on numerous occasions either working on an appraisal or helping a client buy or sell a condo and they have been great to work with. Today there are so many national companies that don't seem to realize that if Realtors and appraisers have difficulty with the management company, it is not helping that condo project at all. This company understands the importance of good communications with Realtors and Appraisers!
Negative experience: Absolutely the worst customer service in the world. They were supposed to repair a fence in January 2015 and said they would have to wait until the weather clears. October and fence is not fixed. Kathi is the association manager and she said that the repair people did not do it. They tore the fence down over a month ago and still not repaired. If I was ever looking at an association management I would not walk, I would run from these people. Everyone blames everyone else. David Cook
