Negative experience: Very poor management company , lack of communication and impossible to get a hold of anyone. Maggie particularly is just awful does return calls, very opinionated , who hired her?? Strongly advise you do not choose their services .

Fantastic experience: As a condo owner and board member, I interact with McHomes Management Company on a weekly basis and highly recommend their services. Maggie and her team are incredibly reliable and professional. Every email and phone call is returned in a timely manner, which makes managing our community much easier. Furthermore, they handle condo members' complaints in a positive, efficient, and constructive way. Their proactive approach keeps our residents happy and our board operations running smoothly.

Their team is responsive, organized, and proactive about staying ahead of important issues. From an insurance perspective, they do a great job communicating with us, gathering information, and helping their boards understand the decisions in front of them. Fantastic experience: Maggie Caceres is a wonderful person. In my 83 years I have never met anyone that compares to her. She hired a crew to help me move and did over and beyond. I highly recommend MC Homes to anyone I know.

Negative experience: It’s getting beyond frustrating now! Can’t get through to Maggie, calls are screened . No return emails nor do you receive a response or acknowledge! Do better MCHomes. If I could give 0 stars I would! Failure on all levels; communication, customer service, duty to serve, follow up , information provided… all very poor! Don’t know how or what this company does to better our community! Nothing is properly maintained nor followed up. What say you MCHOMES? UPDATE 2026 WE HAVE MOVED ON FROM THIS COMPANY AND WITH PLEASURE! THEY SHOULD BE REPORTED!!

Negative experience: *Edited - You are the reason for our Special Assessment due to your poor management skills while you managed Winding Creek. You also make very sure to your customers about the hours you are open to contact them and if it'd not during those 22hrs your customers are out of luck. Learn to manage better and I do hope our condo follows through with legal actions against you. Our condo switch to MC Homes in the beginning of 2024, this was the worst decision they have ever made. MC Homes literally only works for 22hrs a week and take forever to return emails or phone calls, and then when they do are very rude. But this isn't the main issue not to use them, after having them for only 7 months they have lied about the budget reports from 2024. Now due to their poor skills at management all unit owners are being hit with a Special Assessment to pay for their lack of poor skills. If your condo uses MC Homes run for the hills.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would! MC Homes is completely useless! As a condo owner they work for US - we don't work for them! Zero communication, when you call the office they say they will make a note and you NEVER hear back from anyone! I've been trying to get an URGENT issue of rodents causing damage in my home resolved for a month and have heard from Maggie 1 time after multiple attempts to contact her via phone and email! If this were her home I guarantee she would have this resolved by now! If you are looking for a management company RUN FROM MC HOMES! I don't see how they stay in business - literally, the worst customer service I have ever seen! Since I can't respond to the reply they made I will just edit the statement! Convenient how you can't respond to multiple phone calls or emails sent but immediately respond to a negative google review! While I understand the impacts the hurricanes have had on many in our town to include the one coming and what devastation is yet to come, MC HOMES WAS NOTIFIED ON 9/13 WAY BEFORE ANY STORM EVER HIT (Helene hit on 9/27 a full two weeks after notification)! This has been an ongoing issue for YEARS! You've been made aware by multiple owners that setting traps is only going to catch what is there not keep what is out there from coming in! Residents have had to endure the cost themselves for a problem that is happening in the attic and on the roof! Brantley and Sons are amazing however all they do is set traps! THIS ISN'T SOLVING THE ISSUE! They are still coming in! Pictures to show some of the damage made to my home and only 2 of the 6 rats caught while more continue to come in and cause more damage until holes on the outside of the building are handled! I have half dollar size holes in my PVC piping! I can’t use my kitchen sink! I stand by my review and take note for yourself, this is how self centered they are and only care about themselves! They won't respond to owners emails or phones call but immediately respond to something negative said about them publicly!

Negative experience: Adding new review is not possible so here is an update. Tree trimming. Not complete left some palms cut and not others. This company has no regard to do quality check or to watch the people they higher to do a service for your property. Smashed all of the beautiful hedge and ground covers we had in front of house. You can see Newest review . So my HOA decided among themselves to hire this company with really low google reviews. There was a repair request for our deck near the ocean. Obviously in Florida you cannot put regular wood near the water or on the ground, due to subterranean termites. The pictures clearly show that they used the wrong wood for the repair. I called the office and told them to stop repair, Becky spoke to the fella and he continued to work. I mentioned the wood being the wrong material , he said he would go to the local hard ware store and pick up a small piece of pressure treated wood for the repair. They left and snuck back on the property and didn't see me looking right at them from my upper deck. I called for a second time and sent an email to the office :Reconfirmed with Jashmine at the office and she said the email was received and sent to our manager Maggie. I requested to stop payment and have them come back and do the repair properly before payment. WE had a makeshift meeting last night and she was told again and our president paid them anyway, unaware of the mistake... What a joke. They do not care what you want .. When they get your money they do what they want and not what is best for your property. I have made several calls and sent emails and no reply. Can you imagine hiring someone and they ignore your requests? We have a severely damaged seawall .. This company is not pushing the board to act on the structural engineering report regarding the urgency of the repair... Another let down that they do not suggest that our property should act. Maggie should be more supportive of the people who pay her. and should listen their customers. The wrong wood was never addressed. I think they don't want to be responsible for what they do if it is going to cost them money. They should have never paid that company for the repair.. I sent three emails and made 4 phone calls. obviously if they were professional would have made an investigation and fired that guy. Too sneaky for me. Something is wrong when a property management company doesn't listen to their customers. Beware of this company.

Negative experience: Update: They plan projects with major resident impacts (no water, no front entry access) with less than 2 days notice for buildings with the elderly and disabled, who are unable to make alternative arrangements on such short notice. Horrible. They don't respond to emails for weeks/months, and when you call the office they just take messages and never return calls. All Maggie wants to do is spend COA/HOA money like it grows on trees. She needlessly increases budget items and maintaintence fees go thru the roof. She's so disorganized it's hard to believe she's still in business.

Negative experience: WORST communication - they will block your phone number if they don't want to take the time to answer your questions. I pay this property management company A LOT of money to manage my condo and they are 100% useless - I absolutely HATE giving this company my money every month.

Negative experience: I wouldn’t even be so gracious to call them a management company, they don’t manage much of anything. I’ve had several issues at the building that I live which they oversee and have had over a half of dozen in open emails and the same goes with calls. Then if you do get on the phone with someone your message will never be prompted to the right person. If you need a company to manage your property/ properties and don’t want to waste your money and get a migraine try a different real management company not mc.

Fantastic experience: I'm part of our HOA board, and since switching to MC Homes, I've seen our community flourish. Their cost-effective strategies are a breath of fresh air.

Negative experience: I have lived in my condo since 1997. I was on the HOA board for 9yrs. Worst mgmt co we've ever had. As of Jan $630/mo. maintenance fees for nothing. Balconies & staircases deteriorating. Nothing being done.

Negative experience: Dealing with this management company is the worst experience ever!! They are involved in unethical practices, refuse to communicate properly and are rude beyond measure. I have no idea how Maggie stays in business. She is horrible!.

Fantastic experience: Professional, ethical and accessible, MC Homes was a great choice for our association. The importance of having a property manager that works well with board members can not be underestimated. It is truly a team effort. As a volunteer board member, I am grateful to work with a property manager who keeps us organized, and handles the various issues that arise. We are provided with reputable vendors and problems are resolved in a timely manner.

Negative experience: Terrible board. Had a 1 time issue with the clearly conflicting message as seen here on the image and a shared parking lot with two complexes sharing the same 1st name (Peppertree) and yet rather than being helpful or considerate they basically told me that I was lucky not to have been towed sooner. Not the nicest of people and would not recommend anyone to give them money by moving here.

Negative experience: Heath (Thomas) Shewmaker was helping us on a rental he had listed. We were told at first the owner chose someone else, then a couple days later we were contacted by Shewmaker and told us the house was available again and we could rent the house if we wanted. The lease was setup for the 15th and we asked, not demanded, if that could be changed to the 24th (15th was less than a week away). Shewmaker said he had to ask the owner and would get back to us. A couple days later we checked in as we didn't hear back and Shewmaker said he was still waiting for a response. We then waited a full 5 days without a word and finally we checked in again and were told the house was rented to someone else. We weren't told anything prior to this and Shewmaker's lack of communication is unprofessional and has left us without a home with less than 2 weeks before our current rental lease is up.

Positive experience: Falling ceilings that need to be replaced immediately! Reason is they were built before code changed in the 80's. Need rain sewers on sidewalks so shoes won't get wet. Otherwise great place to live!

Fantastic experience: I am the president of a condo association that is managed by MC Homes. They do a great job helping to keep the property maintained and improved. I have nothing positive things to say and would encourage any property to consider them first for your management.

Negative experience: I put an offer in to this company and they didn't respond... At all. I put in full asking price. A few days later it was under contract and I feel I didn't even have a chance. There were no offers when I submitted. They should have told my realtor that it was highest and best when they did receive another offer. But nothing at all. Horrible communication. Would not recommend this company

Negative experience: If looking for accountability, accounting & record keeping accuracy, quick turn-around, response time and repairs, this is NOT the company you want to use. Our association was frozen with no action taken despite repeated requests. Even our own Bank Statements did not get turned over to the Board when requested. Not only was Management not provided, MC actually stood in our way of getting anything truly accomplished. They even let our association Insurance lapse only to be discovered when an owner was trying to close on a sale. When confronted, the Board was belittled and berated, excuses were made to cover accounting errors just short of the dog ate their homework, we heard it all. This is all well documented with pounds of communications going in circles with nothing or little being completed or accomplished.

Negative experience: I’ve never been so dissatisfied that I felt it necessary to post a review to help others avoid the troubles our board experienced while contracted with this company. Be warned and look elsewhere for a property management company. They are extremely unresponsive and disorganized. Requests and basic communication went days without answers. Please save yourself from the stress and frustration that comes with this management company.

Negative experience: The listing agent ( Izzy) was nice until our property was bought. Unfortunately since buying our house, she is mean, threatening, hurtful,and intrusive. She made up lies that are not true and now we regret buying our house. And if we're lying look at the text (that we will show) DON'T BUY A HOUSE ON W. FLAMINGO WAY S. Instead of being a realtor she should run for sherriff. She condones hate. We are now going to sell this house because of her lies and deciet. Scared to walk out our house due to threatening hurtful texts threats. And I am putting my name on this. RICHARD D. FULLER. Very unfortunate.

Negative experience: I have never been involved with such an unprofessional realtor, I recently moved and it's been over 30 days and I'm still waiting on Maggie to tell me about my deposit it's literally a cat and mouse game. Maggie performed the move-out walkthrough without me being present and even used the lights that were in my name. I have been receiving emails about the matter of my move out at 12am which alone is unprofessional, every time I call she's never there or in a meeting. She refuses to send me a break down on what she's charging me for, she has exceeded the 30 day request that was in my notice. I'm highly upset and don't recommend anyone doing business with them....unprofessional!
