Negative experience: My Brother and I hired Anne to help our Mother sell her condo, so she could move back home with family to help take care of her. Right after Mom hired this realtor and received an offer she started working for the buyer. Every step of the process she made Mom jump through hoops even though the sale was (as is). With no compassion or expert advice to help. Just more hurdles to Appease the buyer. I guess it makes sense to work for the buyer and not the person that actually hired you. We are very disappointed. Things could have been so much easier with alittle communication and care.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Annie Thompson for several years. She is extremely competent, friendly, and accommodating. I was trying to purchase a condo unit listed by Ms.Thompson, (it was owned by another realtor, see previous review), and it was within a few days of it being listed. The unit was listed at price X, I offered X-$10,000, with contingencies; the seller (the owner and agent in one) accepted my offer. Ms. Thompson had been hassled and harassed by the seller throughput the process as I can attest to that fact as she kept me abreast of the latest demands and whims of the seller, including threats made by the seller to Ms. Thompson. As I was waiting for my mortgage approval, the seller informed Ms. Thompson that he wanted X+$21,000 MORE than our agreed upon offer. At this point I told Ms. Thompson that I would be backing out of the deal, I had had enough of this ridiculous woman and the stress she was inflicting upon me. There are the forty days she mentions in her review, all caused by her own nastiness and greed. To make matters worse, she ended up selling the condo several months later for $4000 more than my accepted offer, a far cry from the demands she was putting on Ms. Thompson and me!

Negative experience: Sellers Beware! I am a licensed realtor in another state who hired this agency to sell my waterfront condo in Gulfport. It is expected and required that once a listing agreement is signed, pictures will be taken and your listing should be posted to MLS within 72 hours. When an agent fails to place your listing on MLS, those in the industry call it a pocket listing. Doing so shields a property from multiple agents knowing the property is available. The listing agent can and must then sell it on their own, if they can, and collect the full commission. It does a disservice to the seller because the visibility is practically non existent to a buyer and ultimately you may be seeing offers that are below market value. It is ultimately a realtors responsibility to care for their clients fiscal well being. Agents have a time period of 72 hours to list a home in MLS. If for some reason this is not obtainable, communication with the seller is necessary. In my situation, I had searched for my listing on Zillow and Trulia only to find they did not exist. This is unusual because MLS feeds into both these search platforms automatically. This prompted a conversation with these agents to ask if my listing was in MLS as required. To my dismay, after 40 days after a listing agreement, it had not be entered. This is a violation of the code of ethics and I have now lost 40 days of selling time, potential rent and aggravation and will have to begin the process again with someone else. When seeking a realtor to sell, please seek for knowledgeable and respectable agents. Be sure to use one that looks out for your pocket, not theirs.
