Selling a home you've lived in for thirty years is stressful and emotional, but Kate's extensive knowledge of the market and her good humor made the experience enjoyable. She was always available to answer questions and soothe frayed nerves. Her advice on what improvements needed to be done helped us get well above the price we hoped for without spending needlessly. I can't imagine using anyone besides Kate.

Fantastic experience: I found Kate by accident. I contacted her about some rental property since I was planning to sell my father’s estate and subsequently rent. Turns out, I hired her as my realtor to sell the estate! First, I did some research on her before subjecting to her to an interview. I saw that she had a lot of experience selling and buying homes in my area so that put me at ease since I never sold a house before. When I interviewed her, I was impressed with her knowledge, confidence, nice demeanor, and levelheadedness. She also produced for me a personal and very professional looking booklet that explained the reasons behind selecting the listing price of the house and outlined the process her and her team would conduct to sell the house. I had a lot of questions, and she was available to answer them for me in a prompt manner. Given her strategy to sell the house, it sold quickly, and I received top dollar for it. Therefore, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kate for your real estate sale needs.

Fantastic experience: Kate took a deeply human approach to helping us navigate a scary, stressful home-buying experience. She taught us how the market works, and advised us on how to structure offers (completely differently than I would’ve imagined) — knowledge that proved invaluable. Even more importantly, on the philosophical side, she helped us understand what we needed and wanted. At open houses, she’d challenge us to think about issues that, as first-time home-buyers, weren’t on our radar. She also helped us see the bigger picture when a bid didn’t go our way. We bought at the height of the crazy, pandemic-fueled seller’s market, and things felt hopeless at times. But Kate — as much a therapist as a real-estate agent — got us through it. (Seriously, they should give her an honorary degree in clinical psychology for the energy she spends keeping clients sane). In the end, despite the market, we got a wonderful house that has virtually everything we need and want — a rare outcome, even in the best markets, and a huge credit to Kate. And our admiration of her is the norm, not the exception. In fact, we initially found her through word of mouth, after two sets of friends recommended her completely independently of one another. Her great reputation is well-earned.

Despite having no shortage of clients needing her help, Kate was always available at the drop of a hat - even at 11:30 at night. We found Kate based on other positive online reviews and are so glad we did. Our home had been occupied by bad renters, and there was quite a bit of work to be done to get the property ready to sell. Fantastic experience: We started looking for homes in February of 2014. We had a rough start and by the time we met Kate Elliot in April, we were all but beat up. We had lost two houses with another agent and we were ready to throw in the towel. Kate emailed me after we met her at an open house. I told Kate that we were not interested in looking at that time, unless it was perfect. We gave Kate criteria and said that we would not go look at houses unless the house met all of our criteria. Kate gave us our space but kept in communication with us until we were finally ready to get back in the game. The first day that we went out with Kate, she showed up with a bound notebook of houses and a bottle of water for both of us. In fact, she brought bottled water for us every time we saw her. I recognize that this was a little thing but it meant so much to us. We were impressed by her attention to detail and organization from the very beginning. When we found the house that we loved, Kate did everything she could to get us the house. When the buyer excepted our offer, Kate walked us through the whole process. She calmed our nerves during the mortgage process and all of the home inspections. We always knew that she was just a phone call away when we needed her. As this was our first home purchase, we had no idea what to expect. Kate prepared us one step at a time, so we were ready as things came up. Kate went above and beyond for every step of the process.
